Dev builds:
300m83   appr. 10 secs

Conclusion
It has clearly improved over the last builds.
For me, 2 secs. is acceptable. But by no means, my computer my be considered

when i start a presentation with impress (v3.2.1), a white screen flashes(for a 
few seconds) before the first slide of the presentation is shown. 

I use dual monitors (multiple display desktop) and it´s really annoying that 
always a white screen flashes when you´re starting a presentation. (it happens

When the grid is set to 1 inch (1 inch = 25.4 mm), the arrow keys will move the 
objects off the grid, e.g. 
you then cannot use the arrow key in order to move an object by exactly one

If the this grid has 11 subdivisions (which is quite convenient) you cannot 
replace the use of the mouse 
by the keyboard in order to move objects stepwise by 1/12 inch.
(3)
The same problem occurs if the grid is set to 1 cm (1 cm = 10 mm) with 2 
subdivisions because now the 
mouse will move objects by 1/3 of a cm but the arrow keys will not.

In all other vector graphics environments which I know, the arrow keys respect 
the grid and its 
subdivisions. And of course all users expect OpenOffice.org to obey this 
convention. Otherwise there 
won't be so many false suggestions in the various OpenOffice.org fora.

This is a really serious issue.

If I run an Impress slideshow with Presenter Console, and switch to the 
multiple-slide (slide-sorter) view, I see the list of slides in the 
slideshow, 
as expected. But if I use the arrow keys / etc. to change slide, the slide view 
stays the same, rather than scrolling down to show the currently selected slide.

This is worse when I'm in the middle of the slideshow. If I need to jump 
slides, 
the presenter console multi slide view does not follow along and have the 
current slide already selected.

For instance, if you're on slide 20, and want to jump several slides forwards 
to 
answer a question or something, you go to the multiple-slide view, and it has 
slide number 1 displayed. It hasn't kept track of the fact that you're on slide 
20. So, you have to scroll along until you get to the current slide, and then 
work from there. When you're live in front of an audience these slight delays 
are a distraction to the presentation.

I cannot print non-sequential slides that have been selected in an Impress 
slideshow.

Example:
-Open slideshow with lots of slides (see attachment.)
-Click on Slide Sorter tab.
-Select several slides (e.g. numbers 1, 5, and 35; click one, then ctrl+click 
the next ones)
-Press Ctrl + P
-Try to click Selection, except that it's grayed out.

Ugly workaround:
-Press Ctrl + P
-Click Pages
-Type in pages/ranges. This is very frustrating because you can rarely see all 
your slides at one time. You must go through the slides, write down the chosen 
slide numbers on a piece of paper or memorize which ones you want to print (!), 
and then open the print dialog and type in the numbers.

When doing a slide show for an audience using a projector and the presenter 
console extension, the presenter console sometimes shows on the projection 
screen instead of the speaker's laptop display. On Ubuntu Linux you can drag 
the 
console to the right display by pressing ALT + F7 and drag it back to the 
laptop 
screen. Alternatively, end the slide show, click on the Slide Show menu -- 
Slide Show Settings -- Multiple-displays -- change the Presentation 
Display 
to Display 1 if it's set to Display 2, or Display 2 if it's set to Display 1.

In other words, Open Office seems to get confused about which is Display 1 and 
which is Display 2. Sometimes, it thinks the projector is Display 2 (correct) 
and sometimes it thinks it is Display 1.

Annoying, because you never know whether the console will show on the right 
display when starting a slide show.

I have just found this issue after encountering exactly the same problem. I
believe issue 50278 also addresses this problem.
The resolution here does not solve the problem, because what is needed is for
the footnote reference number (in the footnote area, not the text) to be
superscript while the footnote text is normal. I can find no way of changing the
character style of the footnote reference number independently of the footnote 
text.
My university requires this formatting which I am trying to create (and which is
the default in MS Word).

I believe I'm seeing the same issue: most (but not all) times find is invoked, 
I eventually reach a state 
requiring a Force Quit of OpenOffice.

Details: the document was created on a PC with Word (versions unknown) and is 
roughly 26 pages of text. 
Mac OS X 10.6.4.  After first occurrence with OOo 3.2.0 installed OOo 3.2.1 - 
problem is repeatable.  Start 
find (either with cmd-F or the binoculars icon), enter text to find, click on 
find one or more times.  
Eventually the find button is not highlighted and no instance of the searched 
for text is highlighted.  OO is 
not eating CPU and both the window close buttons and menus appear active (draw 
and hide) but the close 
buttons do not close either the find or document windows and the quit menu item 
does not quit OO.  
Force quit and restart of OOo causes the document recovery dialog to appear.

Goal: Create a long outline and automatically produce a (condensed) table of
contents from the top two levels of the outline.

Approach: Use conditional paragraph styles for the outline items and set the
Outline  Numbering  Outline  Outline level property for the styles applied at
the top two levels.

That should allow the ToC to pick up the desired items from the outline.

Problem: This works for the first creation of the ToC; however, if the outline
structure is changed and the ToC updated, items at new levels may appear in the
ToC when they should not, or may appear at the wrong level in the ToC.

It seems this happens because the outline level property does not get adjusted
when the list level changes (promote/demote) and a new paragraph style takes
effect. Format  Paragraph  Outline  Numbering after promoting or demoting the
item shows that the property has not changed along with the other style 
properties.

Problem 1:  The text formatting toolbar disappears from my toolbar area every
time I close calc.  When I go to view, toolbars, and select text formatting it
appears in my toolbar area.  And then it is gone again the next day when I turn
my computer on.

Problem 2:  Even after I get the text formatting toolbar up, some of the icons,
such as background color, have permanently disappeared from my visible button
options.

I have attempted to fix this problem myself by uninstalling open office from my
computer entirely, going to the program files for open office and deleting them
after the uninstall, and then reinstalling the latest version onto my computer.
 The original toolbar and visible button settings I had are there right after
the install, but the next day after I turn on my computer the faulty settings
are back.

Can this be fixed or am I stuck with the faulty settings?

This is a minor defect that's tripped me up enough times in the past few days to
warrant a post.

When using a form in Base to input data, if you click on the Data source as
Table button when the form is half-filled out, all data entered into the form
since the record was last saved is discarded.

This button adds some very nice functionality -- shame that a minor problem is
detracting from it!

PS: It seems there is an easy workaround: after promoting or demoting a list
item, Format  Default Formatting seems to reset the outline level property and
the ToC can be updated correctly after that.

I was going to start doing some additional testing on Boolean fields, but wanted
to get a baseline with text fields first and discovered something interesting.
It looks like the defaults that are set in the Table Design GUI and those that
are defined via SQL don't talk to each other properly. 

(Note: I'm attaching a file in the next comment that contains the following
examples for reference.)

If I create a new table (named guiTable) via the Create Table in Design
View... GUI with the following:

Field 1 Name: pKey (set to primary key)
Field 1 Type: INTEGER
Field 1 AutoValue: Yes

Field 2 Name: notNullText
Field 2 Type: VARCHAR
Field 2 Entry required: Yes
Field 2 Default Value: DefaultText

Field 3 Name: nullableText
Field 3 Type: VARCHAR
Field 3 Entry required: No
(No Default value set)

I get the following results:

As soon as I open the table grid in the Table Data View GUI, I see the
DefaultText already populated in the notNullText field where the next record
will go. As soon as one record is created, once again, the DefaultText shows

Entering some text into nullableText and not messing with notNullText allows
for entries to be created with no issue.
