In Draw, I created several shapes (rectangles, circles) and tried to export as graphic files (emf, bmp). With this fix, the file picker returns to the default graphics directory, when opening the file picker. On subsequent calls to the file picker, this default path is still opening, and not the path I used in the previous export. Furthermore, if I check the selection check box, it does not retain its checked state in subsequent calls. After doing this procedure of choosing file, export, changing the export path to the path of my choice, and performing the export, OOo crashes. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Noticed it also in filepicker01. Need to think about that a little bit further and will file an extra issue later. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Currently the fix is ugly as there is no file picker UNO API to force setting a folder. So there is a workaround to use the configuration to notify the Vista file picker that the My Documents path has been changed. I don't like the fix and won't apply this schema to all other paths. Due to restricted time and help people with the special My Documents path I introduced this minor fix. You can write a separate issue for the export file picker. Currently I don't know what's wrong there. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. OOo now forces that the default path is set for the file picker whenever the user changes the work directory via Tools - Options - OpenOffice.org - Paths. This is only done once as the file dialog uses its own recent list. It would violate Microsoft recommendations to force the dialog to always use the work directory. I can also reproduce your observation that File - Open ignores the new setting. The problem is that this works as designed as the file dialog by default uses the last used document path. If the last used document path is not set My Documents is used as a fallback. Normally this doesn't happen as most users had already opened a file before. I think there is an acceptable enhancement for this situation which resets the last used document path whenever the user changes the My Document path.
