[amirc] the ideas keep coming ;) (Lamps)

2002-10-24 Thread Pete WullieW Ross

Hey just thought of this..

The LED lamps that are beside the ops and voice.. how about a lamp beside every user
and the -v|o (non voice/ops) have lamps that are powered off or a dimmed colour.

come on, one of my ideas must be of some use to you Mr Wagner :) Hard earned cash paid
for my key! :))

how about a log file cleaner.. like when you quit/disconnect it will
delete the files of the desired size.. I have too many log files Id love
to be automatically deleted as they are under 1K.

 Or another idea.
 What about configurable log files.
Log over a day, a week or a month. At the limit create a
new log with the next date.
Would be more than helpful, at least for the channel logs

Uhhm, doesn't AmIRC have that option already? I've been doing it for quite
a while now. you might want to look under the 'logging' menu, and
under 'channel log filename'. There are wild cards you can add to the
filename. Putting this entry in --- CH_%c_%d gives you this in the logs
 dir:

 CH_AmigaIRC_20020120 CH_AmigaIRC_20020121
 CH_AmigaIRC_20020122 CH_AmigaIRC_20020123
 CH_AmigaIRC_20020124 CH_AmigaIRC_20020125
 1005 files - 252586 blocks used
 10.Workbench:Internet/AmIRC/Logs

OK, that helps a bit.
But would be more comfortable to have a month together in one log.
With the Date flag I don't have files of megabyte size anymore ... but some
hundred files now in that directory (not now but in a few days)
not counted the mass of query logs

You can see logs from Jan 20th to the 25th of 2002 from my dir (as a
sample), all seperated by day I *think* it might be time to clean out
 that dir :-) hehe

I know what you mean... I already moved about 300 MB to a spare drive to burn
them on a CD one day (and I cleaned the query files before)
*sweat*

[amirc] 3.5.25 - Bad menu handling

2002-10-24 Thread David Rey

Hello,

I have just noticed that after joining a new channel, menu items stop
working in the original window, e.g. RAmiga-Z flushes the buffer in
the second window although that window is inactive and the operation
should affect the other window.

I hope this makes sense :-)
