[Amsn-devel] PSM isn't cleared (and Music plugin doesn't work)

2007-05-09 Thread Marco Radaelli
Hello,
I noticed this in 8582 (doesn't even work if I unload Music plugin).

I'm on Windows XP, using the default skin that comes with the latest SVN
versions.

There's no crash, simply when I have a PSM and want to clear it (clearing the
text in the second line of the Change Nick window it does nothing.

Seems to work in 8568, and not in 8569.

Changes in guicontactlist.tcl are so many that I, knowing nothing about Tcl/Tk,
didn't go further :)

Is it ok that I send a bug like this to the mailing list (as I'm not a dev), or
should I use the forums instead?

Regards.
Marco R. (yeah on the forums)

Ok, I was wrong when saying the file is guicontactlist.tcl, as the name
suggests :-/

Thanks Marco, for the bug report.

I tested it a few times. And it seems the gui doesn't update if the
new psm is empty. (The PSM is changed to empty according to the
protocol log). I'll have a look at it.

Re: [Amsn-devel] Close or Dock...

2007-05-09 Thread Karel Demeyer

Although I'm against this ( on linux, if you don't want tray icons you
should disable the tray at all - on windows, an app without this icon is not
a real windows app :p), if there would be an option, it would come into the
Appearance tab, the notifications area I think.

There is something more about it. He says that amsn minimizes to the
taskbar if there is no systray. I'd say that is a bug, it leaves no
difference between the minimize and the close button. I think that if
there is no systray, the close button should have the same behavior
as on Mac. (A messagebox appears to ask if you really want to quit
aMSN. If answer is yes, aMSN quits, otherwise nothing happens.)

Also I agree that, for systems with a systray, it should be possible
 to change the closedocks option.
