Re: [analog-help] multiple reports howto

2000-07-05 Thread Frank R. Suchy

Once again... ;)

analog only uses the last OUTFILE command it finds.

To produce different reports you have to run analog once for each
report using the respective config files.

+ I have some virtualdomains with separated log files.
+
+ I've tried to make diferent config files but what i get is that only
+ the last OUTFILE indicated is the one that analogs outputs...
+
+ Howto make diferent repports for each log files ?

Hmmm, maybe I should put in a check for this. (The problem is that on Unix,
it's quite natural to override the OUTFILE in the system configuration file
with a particular configuration file.)

But you could easily check for more than one OUTFILE in a given configuration
file, which is undoubtedly where this problem would crop up.
Hmm... Except maybe in this case where each vhost had it's own config file.
Perhaps something in the docs/start.html or docs/readme.html page describing
that Analog produces one report per run would be helpful. I would hope that
most users at least get to those two pages. :)

And they're also running an ad campaign "NSTL has determined Windows 2000 is 13
times more stable than Windows 98." Doe that mean it crashes once a week
instead of twice a day?

Oh!, Sorry, off topic :)

I think that startpc.html is already too long. I really try and keep it down
to the absolute minimum.

That's not a surprise. But does it mention what the factor for 2000 over NT
is? NT was already much more stable than 98.
