[android-developers] i need help unlocking my phone locked with android device manager

i lost  my phone yesterday and locked it with android device manager when i 
got home,,, my issue with the lock is that ADM accepted a password that was 
too long for my phone, when i type in the temporary password it stops at 3 
characters short. it wont let me change the password, is there a way to

[android-developers] Android Auto API on phone side only

I was looking into writing an app that performs some actions entirely on 
the phone side when connected to or disconnected form the car.

But I know that there is a whole lot that needs to go on to get an app 
approved for Android Auto, which is probably beyond my means for what I'm 
looking to do.  Does anyone know if it's possible to do this without all 
the overhead?

[android-developers] Application fails at launch in below API 23 (marshmallow)

 I am developing app with android studio 2.1.1, It is successfully running 
on API 23 but if i install it on lower API's (JellyBean, Kitkat) then it 
fails at launch screen (Unfortunately app stopped). Can't figure out the 
problem. Is there any solution? Please help me.

I am a newbie in Android Development. I have a question:
I need to get information about all the neighbor cell (antennas) ids  that 
are
listed in the device. Previously, there was getNeighboringCellInfo API in 
Android 
Framework, which returned the list I should get. However, currently the API
is deprecated. So I use getAllCellInfo which returns a superset of the 
information 
from NeighboringCellInfo. The question is the following:
When I get the List of CellInfo objects , how can I get from there the 
subset of neighbor cell ids?

is it possible to send german special chatacters like Ä, Ö, Ü from a remote 
pc to an android device via adb console command? I have tried 'adb shell 
input text "Ä"', but that did not work.


Amd is it possible to retrieve information about the state of media 
playback from the device, like playing/paused/stopped and playing 
time/remaining time/total time?


Any help is greatly appreciated.

Now we want to remove the application, but it is not clear how to do it.
