The documentation on Google's websites is great, but it would also be

Are there any *good* books on progrmming in Android yet?

 Thanks,

Hi

I think the best one is Professional Android application development
(wrox).
Also there are new book coming at the end of April, but I dont know if
they are good or not because they haven't been published yet :)

I'm fond of mine, but I'm biased... ;-)

http://commonsware.com/books.html

Beyond those, I have heard generally good things about _Professional
Android Application Development_ by Reto Meier. I read Ed Burnette's
_Hello, Android_ -- it goes into much more depth on 2D/3D graphics than
I do, but there are other topics it does not delve into due to its brevity.

I have links to a couple of other books out on a knol:

Also, the O'Reilly book on Android should be out in two months.

Android is locked :O???

I'm just wondering how many queries you're going to get about where the
chapter on unlocking it from the carrier network is :).
