Thanks, Tom

That sounds very much doable then. I believe our IT was talking about
some 12TB being available.

as I just started hosting this I don't have real good metrics on BW.

OK, no problem. I fed that information back to our IT expecting them to
start doing an rsync style mirror soon and will provide our DNS
information once available.

We have not done anything yet. Remember I was just asking about the
bandwidth/storage requirements. But I guess we would do a regular aka
rsync style mirror.

also we would need DNS information to make this work. Can you provide
 that as well?

Sure, once we have it all setup we can provide that. For the time being
you might have a look at our distributed git server architecture:

git.toradex.com DNS load balance based on GeoDNS solution
git1.toradex.com 94.23.161.152 located in EU
git2.toradex.com 66.85.148.182 located in US

Whether or not it is gona be hosted on the same servers depends on the
initially enquired about metrics.

Cheers

That sounds great, adding Tom King to CC: as well.

What's the status on this? It would be really sad if the current
willingness of our global IT operation to provide the resources vanishes
before we can make up our minds on how this actually needs to be done.

Is there a way to configure opkg to have two serers to chose from for
packages?
