Hey Kevin,
We've been having some similar FTS issues, as well.  We just applied a BMC
Hot Fix and it looks like it fixed our issues.  Not sure if it will fix
yours.  I've attached the readme doc so you can take a look.

Create Related Request Functionality

Hi Folks!

Question about Creating a Related Request on Incident in Remedy 8.1. 

I would like to add the option for an Incident to open a Work Order.  I've 
looked at the code for INC to CHG and the others.  It looks like they use the 
PERFORM-ACTION-SEND-EVENT process to complete this but it's specific to the 
module (@ CREATEASSOC_HPDCHG). 

Has anyone created this functionality using this method?  If so, how did you do 
it?  Thanks in advance!!

Remedy / McAfee SIEM Integration

To the Remedy Collective!
  Has anyone ever built an integration with McAfee's Security Information & 
Event Management application? They can do email (which we don't want to do 
because our email engine is overloaded as it is) and SNMP.  There seems to be 
documentation for using SNMP but I wanted to see if anyone had actually done it 
before: pitfalls, shortcuts, "don't even think about doing it", stuff like that.
   We have an 8.1 environment.  I believe the McAfee version is 9.5.

Windows Client Functionality

Howdy Folks,
   A co-worker wanted me to post this to the List to see if anyone had a 
different answer than Remedy ;-)
   Here it is:
   Is there a way to disable the copy all or paste all function in the 
user tool?  Remedy support told me it is not possible because this is 
windows functionality and not Remedy.

   Thanks for the suggestion!

   In the Menu Access tab I only see Modify All, Options, Auto-Refresh, 
Reporting, Delete, Save and Print.

We used the employeeID field in AD also (at Webster Bank; I'm now at The 
Hartford).  Again, it was the only field that had unique, non-changing 
data in it.  (The consulting company we had help us with the original 
installation recommended the samaccountname field!)

The only problem we encountered were with users that weren't employees; 
mainly vendors.  Temps and consultants would have a value in the 
employeeID field in AD (TMP123), so Remedy would pull them.  Vendors would 
have to be added by hand, unless you gave them a value (ie: VDR123).
