Subject: Removing links in Email notifications?

Listers,

I want to remove the links at top of the Customer Receipt Information and
Customer Resolution notification mails from our ITSM 7.6.03, but those links
are not shown in the respective template. Is there a chance we can only remove
this from the two notifications towards customer, and keep the link for the
others?

Thanks,
Thomas

When the news broke and which was kind of anticipated.. I believed it’s just a
financial decision and such big financial decisions always come out of personal
perspective.. and it’s always the people who make the technology and business
flourish..

With so many of great people here.. (and I mean it), I like to hope that we
have a long way to go.. (Hoping doesn’t require your hair to be grey ☺ )..

That is not a bad point. However, folks should also consider the big
picture. Just think about what are you doing for discovery and run book
automation? Monitoring?

One big caution is that some alternate ITSM providers are just checking a box
as far as saying we have that. Pull the covers and then LOL. Guess what,
you are *required* to customize their Out-of-the-Box and nothing comes for free
(even for a basic implementation).

Still if you are all about custom (and on this list) then you already realize
the inherent power of AR System Powered Apps has not been recently
high-lighted. Remember the Remedy Your Business, Your Way slogan if that
rings a bell?

Depending on one vendor for more than three or four years is folly. I'm

I don't know, a developer and even a consultant should try and learn new
stuff every day. Maybe at 50 the flame is gone, but we can't rely on a
single vendor for our careers on the long term, can we ?

Hi David,

You have put a lot of energy into making it easier for all of us to interact

I remember meeting you, brand new, at BMC User World 2006 if I remember right.
You, me and Carey Matthew Black sat down in a room and discussed interaction
with BMC Support and the Enhancement Request process. We have come a long way
since then :-)

Good luck to you David!

 Hi All,

I watched the movie Moneyball a few nights ago. Billy Beane (general
manager for the Oakland A's) had advice for delivering bad news - just give
it to 'em straight. So here goes.

As of April 5th, I'm no longer an employee of BMC Software, Inc.

While my disclaimer has always stated that my participation in this group
wasn't an official function for BMC, obviously this turn of events puts a
significant kink in my continued involvement in the ARSList. :-) Note that
this is in no way a result of the April Fool's posting that I sent out...
lest someone jump to an errant conclusion. I won't be able to discuss any
details of the situation, but you guys deserved to hear the news straight
from the horse's a er... mouth.

This has been an amazing 7 years of my career and all of you are the reason
for that. This is the most vibrant, animated and supportive group I've ever
had the pleasure to be a part of. I've met many of you in person, talked
with even more in virtual space, but I feel like a part of a family with all
of you. I will truly miss the opportunity to represent the brand and
products that you channel so much passion and positive energy towards.

**
I'm sure many of you have seen the news articles on BMC going private - e.g.
Exclusive: Buyout firms team up to take BMC Software private -
sourceshttp://finance.yahoo.com/news/exclusive-buyout-firms-team-bmc-152725678.html.
I just wanted to assure everyone that this will be nothing but a positive
for the future of AR System. By removing the need to answer to shareholder
value, BMC can be less conservative about innovation choices - which could lead
to substantial leaps forward in user experience and customer return on
investment. By melding the two well established idioms of thinking outside
the box and providing out-of-the-box functionality, we'll be able to create
instant value for our customers the first time they interact with our products.

Before even a new line of code is written, BMC Customer Support will be
implementing new policies to improve BMC's Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI).
Inspired by the acronym, BMC has created crack teams of IT forensic
investigators in several major cities that can be called out to the scene of a
violent IT event - crashes, network issues causing link death, abnormal parent
or child process termination, etc. These teams will work on an issue until
it's resolved or until a new case comes up in the next week - whichever comes
first.

Another area of focus will be heavier participation in social media. While BMC
is active on Twitter and Facebook, we'll be expanding into Vine. Customers
will be able to submit a description of their incident to Customer Service as
long as the issue can be described in six seconds or less. The response will
also honor the six second limit of Vine, although content is further limited
because it takes about five seconds to say Hi, this is Jeff from BMC Support.
Our goal at BMC is to provide you with an excellent customer service
experience. Related to this, there's an Instagram interface under development
that will enable customers to take a picture of the error message on their
screen but make it appear to be from an Apple ][ plus circa 1979.

We've decided that moving AR System to Java was the wrong way to go - so we'll
be switching over to utilizing more off-the-shelf technologies like
IFTTThttps://ifttt.com/ to drive workflow and using a modern GUI provided by
the same engine that drives Minecrafthttps://minecraft.net/. By using these
ready-made technologies, we'll be able to realize a huge competitive advantage
as our developers work on features unique to BMC. While I can't really talk
about far futures much, I can say that we're partnering with other technology
leaders in the industry to get ahead of the curve. A strong partnership with
Google is being investigated to create a driverless help desk. We'll be
building on the BMC Virtual Agent technology and Google's driverless car AI to
work customer submitted help desk tickets to completion while the Technical
Support Engineer sits back and reads the paper, drinks a latte, etc.

I look forward to sharing this future with all of you. Amazing possibilities
resulting in leadership freedom of opportunity look sensational!

You can define the log size limit in Server Information page or by adding it in

Hi,

You can use the Data Wizard Tool for the same.

Subject: Change a Support Group Structure, ITSM

**
Hi, suppose that we have this entry in form Support Group

Support Company: xxx
Support Organization: yyy
Support Group Name: zzz

There are Team Members, Templates, Problems, Incidents, Changes, Auto-routing
and more.

Now, Support Group Name zzz has to be moved to Support Organization 'aaa'.

How do you perform this action?

I have got the information that a new Group entry has to be created, all team
members manually moved, all templates handled manually, and all other forms too
where xxx/yyy/zzz exist. 'The Data Wizard are not working on Unix and shall not
be used' have I heard. To make this operation manually takes a lot of time,
there must be a better way?

Thanks,

Lars
