Issue here was/is that we have a procy pac which is like 10 pages long, and the proxy I used before seemed to actually have not been the right one (although it worked, when directly entering this one at the browser config). Hi Folks ... ! Thats a bit off topic ... however, Im living in Germany and have been to the army compound in Stuttgart Germany for new year celebration (husband of my wife's sister is stationed there). Somehow we talked about work too, and the folks at the army there actually use Remedy (and seem to lve it :-). Am just wondering now if the army has their own Remedy team, or if they work with contractors? Anyone knows if they also do Remedy related work in Germany, or its all being done from the states? Moving to HP Service Manager 7

Hello Manish, have no hands on experience on ITSM, but the user.log file should be a good starting point. Depending on your version, you can turn it on at the admin or user client, at the server->log settings. We do some license monitoring/opimization based on that log file, down to the user. Don't want to advertise, but you could also invest in a tool for that: www.rrr.se They basically also take the user.log file and report on that. Just that they do all for you, so you dont have to build a report/logic you own ... from what I know, they can also report ITSM (so I assume, the ITSM licenses are also shown at the user.log file). Other then that, you have not provided much infos about how you have done your "current studies". Did you use the log file, or "just" check the available licenses? Convert Non Unicode DB/Server to Unicode?
Hello Listeners ! just short query. We are running with AR7.1 and MS SQL2k5. Currently our DB and Server is Latin 1. We now need to move to Unicode. The only "upgrage" option I am aware of, is installing a new Unicode Database, and manually with Remedy means, moving the data. Or is there any other easier upgrade option, I am not aware of? The roundtrip time is around 190ms, which leads so some performance issues. Question is: how does the package verification work? Is every package being confirmed? Can it be configured, that for example only every 10th package needs to be confirmed? Did not find a hint at the documentation, how it works, or if it can be configured.
