Re: Escalation Calendar

2008-08-29 Thread Kemes, Lisa
There was a presentation at WARUG (Washington (DC) Area Remedy User
Group) last year or the year before with someone presenting how to
extract this information. It's not pretty, but it is possible. But,
unfortunately, I cannot find the information. I'll keep digging.

LJ,

I have not done it... but ... I would guess that it would not be to hard
to do

I would look at this as a possible UI to display this kind of data:
  http://simile.mit.edu/timeline/

Basically I think you could do an XML export of the Escalation objects.
Write a small XSLT transformation to create an XML file that you can
feed to timeline.

Does anyone have a utility out there that will display an Outlook
style calendar that lists When escalations fire and such? I've
recently been having to do quite a bit of escalation work and find it
tedious to figure out when 'Time' escalations are runningI know
you can't quite do the same thing with Intervalbut you should be
able to with Time...

Re: Escalation Calendar

2008-08-29 Thread Shellman, David
It was John D'Antonio from CACI entitled Managing ARS Escalations. It
was an encore presentation of his presentation at BMC User World in
Vancouver.

The method described showed how to gather the data from escalations that
fired at set times/days. I don't think it covered escalations that fire
on interval.
