JOB: Colorado Springs, CO

2012-10-23 Thread Longwing, LJ CTR MDA/IC
Really? A few weeks ago I posted that I have an opening at my company for a
Remedy Developer with ITSM experience in Colorado Springs and the only
responses I got back where asking where I was going. Is the remedy market so
strong at the moment that everyone is fully employed, and happy where they are?
Are there really not enough Remedy Developers in the market to support the
current demand?this is a good thing mind you, but I'm looking for my
replacement and can't seem to find one...

Remedy 7.5, upgrading to 8.0 in the near future
Full ITSM Suite, with customizations that need to be migrated
Secret Security clearance either already obtained, or obtainable necessary

Resumes of interested parties will be forwarded to corporate recruiter for
contact

Factors:
1) Colorado Springs is a beautiful place, but is kinda remote and not
everyone's cup of tea.
2) Spending the winter someplace cold might not appeal to some.
3) Yes, the market is pretty strong.

2012-10-23 Thread Longwing, LJ CTR MDA/IC
I would say Brian Goralczyk did a pretty good job at my last employer...no more
than a half a dozen calls over a several month period...not bad considering the
scope of the team and application there.

But seriouslyanyone want to move to Colorado Springs?

Of coursedo you consider upgrading a 7.5 heavily customized ITSM to 8.0
enoughhow about that it's going into a new virtual environment that they
would be part of standing up, to include standup and configuration of the load
balancers in questiontons to do :)

Seems that may be the real issue!!! Something to do with no path for
upgrades on ITSM on v7.5. I guess an interviewee will want to see your
documentation ... lol

Personally I think it has more to do with the clearance requirements, not
everyone has been as lucky to have that provided.

The nice part is, that even after you move, we can find you . :)

Re: JOB: Colorado Springs, CO

2012-10-23 Thread Longwing, LJ CTR MDA/IC
This is only the second job that I've had that required a clearance, and my
company sponsored and got me the clearance...so the current lack of a clearance
IS NOT a hindrance...simply the lack of a ability to get one would be...reading
earlier today regarding what it takes the synopsis was along the lines of

1 - Be a US Citizen
2 - Have lead a 'relatively' clean life

The company I worked through this time suggested that I wait till my interim
clearance come through before even giving my notice at my last job.
