Re: Reported Source (HPD:Help Desk)
Hi David, Reported Source field is a Selection Field (DropDown) with OOTB 12 values on both HPD:;Help Desk and SYS:Reported Source forms. We can create the overlay and add additional values into the drop down list for any additional values. Hope this helps you. Thanks, it doesn’t appear that that form allows field overlays evidently however. Re: Reported Source (HPD:Help Desk)
First you have to create an overlay of the form, view, etc, then overlay the field. Re: Reported Source
Hi Mark, Since 7.5 Remedy includes a very neat Show relationships feature. It is enabled by ticking the box for object relationships on the main server config tab in AR System Administration and restarting. Once you have this feature enabled it will show you the workflow that directly relates to a field or other object. There are some relationships that are not shown such as where the field is included in a join form but it will give you a pretty good indication of the workflow implications of changing a field. It is fast too and a lot quicker than trying to open new lists for the various object types and trying to work out form the name if they relate. I think Change requests are not the sort of thing that really requires tracking of the reported source as they are typically not directly phoned in from end users and/or done in great volumes. I'd say you are correct in your assertion that the field is not on the Change form. Re: Reported Source
That field is on many more forms. Here's a SQL statement you can use to find them all based on the field ID. If you're using overlays, you'll need to create overlays for the join forms and the views the field is on. select arschema.name, field.fieldId, field.FieldName from field left outer join arschema on arschema.schemaid=field.schemaid where fieldName = '100215' HPD:Help Desk HPD:Help Desk Classic HPD:Help Desk_SLA HPD:HelpDeskPeopleReportJoin HPD:Incident Management Console HPD:IncidentInterface HPD:IncidentInterface_Create HPD:LoadHelpDesk HPD:LoadTemplate HPD:Search-Assignment Logs HPD:Search-Associations HPD:Search-Worklog HPD:Template HPD:TemplateCustomerJoin HPD:TemplateSPGAssocLookup HPD:TemplateSPGLookUp SYS:Reported Source Jason ___ UNSUBSCRIBE or access ARSlist Archives at www.arslist.org attend wwrug12 www.wwrug12.com ARSList: Where the Answers Are
