[Asterisk-Users] failover

2005-10-16 Thread Tommy Denton
Team,

I have an asterisk server that is running AMP.

I have a DID configured to go into a queue, then failover to queue2,
then failover to an extention. That extension has voicemail
configured on it.

I have a number of extensions in each queue, and none of them are
active. So in theory it should fail over to voicemail at some
point. Where are the fail over time outs or do I have my theory
wrong?

Thank you for you time,

[Asterisk-Users] perl-cpan

2005-08-21 Thread Tommy Denton
Dear list,

I was installing Asterisk via the AMP method off the AMP website.

There is a portion in there where they want you to use perl-cpan to
install telnet.

The first time I installed I had no problem. I messed up and trashed
the box further down in the install.. This time I made a mistake and
put a -jp3 switch for multi processors. This has caused the install
of telnet tank. I found the cpan config file and removed it. This
allowed me to get past the first mistake but now when I try to complie
telnet it fails and I do not get any error's on the make file.

How can I remove perl-cpan and start again, or am I facing another
trip to the colo to splash the box and start again?

Thank you for your time,

Tommy

[Asterisk-Users] ogg causing me heart burn

Dear forum,

I have a install of asterisk using AMP. I followed the install guide
off the AMP site.

The last line is that ogg failed. I have found nothing on the web
about this, and I am not even sure where to start troubleshooting.

You are probably getting this error because you're missing required
libraries on your linux install in order for the module in asterisk to
be able to read ogg_vorbis files.

If you have no intention of using ogg_vorbis formatted files on your
asterisk distribution you can remove the
 /usr/lib/asterisk/modules/format_ogg_vorbis.so file and make certain
that no other part of the asterisk configuration is referencing this
format and you should be able to continue.

[Asterisk-Users] Bigger problems than ogg

2005-08-14 Thread Tommy Denton
Ok,

After following BJ's advice and removing ogg.so I then got a
pbx_realtime.so error in the same fashion. I removed that file, and
then the next and then the next as you can see in the log below.

I think something is not right. duh here is my sign..lol...but I am
not sure even where this ast_register_file_version flag is in a config
file or what step I have missed. I am doing a VOIP only no hardware
install, is it due to lack of timing?

I am just trying to get moving in the right direction.

thank you for your help,

Re: [Asterisk-Users] Bigger problems than ogg

2005-08-14 Thread Tommy Denton
so is there anyway to just delete the lot? or do I have to drive to
the colo and reinstall..

I know this answer, the sys admin in my body tells me that when you
have messed up this bad you are better to just gack and load it up
again...but alas I will take my beating..

Thank you for your help,

Tommy

Once from CVS-STABLE and once form CVS-HEAD I'd say.

First I ran from the directions on the offical documentation project,

and the folks that need to do the dial plans need gui..

AMP installs STABLE. The documentation site probably told you how to
 download the latest copy.

should I scrap and go again?

 Yes.

  Thank you for your time,

 :) No problem.

That is it..then just start over? I don't need to kill the source as well?

Do I need to get the /etc/asterisk directory as well?

You can also remove /etc/asterisk to erase the configs that were
installed but the major issue between STABLE/HEAD is the modules. The
