Re: [asterisk-users] G729a codecs + Asterisk 1.4.11
Dear All; The codec problem resolved, I used the correct codec should be codec_g729a_v32_pentium4m.tar.gz as the output of the command cat /proc/cpuinfo giving: Pentium(R) 4 CPU and my confusion was that I cared for the output of the command core show version which gives: Asterisk SVN-branch-1.4-r72556 built by root @ localhost.localdomain on a i686 running Linux on 2007-06-30 13:08:08 UTC Actually when I used codec_g729a_v32_i686.tar.gz it did not work, but when I used codec_g729a_v32_pentium4m.tar.gz, it worked fine. But, I am not able to use the command show g729, it gives me that command not existed, is it because of my version of asterisk which is 1.4-r72556? I do not know. Anyway, I started thinking to do update for my version, but I am afraid about my configuration files. Regards Bilal --- Dear Marc; Thanks a lot for your kindly help.
