Thanks to you both. I knew about the 5v cards, and IIRC the TDM400P
isn't available in 5v.

Some vendors PCI cards:

- don't work period
- work if you have the right rev of their board
- can be upgraded via RMA if you have the right rev their board
- don't know what PCI-X is (or at least the support geek who responded
to my mail.)

In each case, I'll try the PCI card in a PCI-X slot first and see what
happens.
One would think that the PCI card shouldn't even know. g

Thanks again,
MikeC

The TDM400P (and all other PCI Digium cards except the
TE205/405/210/410) are dual voltage cards and will work in either 5V or
3.3V slots.

[asterisk-users] TDM400P in PCI-X Slot

2009-05-27 Thread Michael C. Cambria

Hi,

Does anyone know if a TDM400P will work in a PCI-X slot?

Work is offloading a few (2+ year old) workstations. If I act fast I
can buy one, but it only has 1 PCI slot (and I'll need that for
something else.) There are several PCI-X slots available, so this would
be the only option for the TDM400P.

Thanks,
MikeC

Just check the version of the card (5v vs 3v) - I don't think PCI X is
compatible with the older 5v cards.
