Sounds like your looking for a laptop with a good softphone. You take an ultralight laptop and you could probably meet all these requirements plus some. I know that this has been replied to, but, where I work, We use the Carrier Access Group Adit 600 Channel banks. It supports two T1's and my boss tells me that we can get the for about 400-800 dollars. They use 8 port c\expansion cards, so you can three groups of ports, say 16 FXS (2x FXS) and 8 FXO ports (1x FXO). These units are programmed using a crossover cable and a serial port. They have a lot of other features that I don't know how to use, but they work grate for us. I hope this helps. -- Christopher Dobbs Shoval Tomer wrote: Can you recommend a channel bank make and model that will support all (or most) of Asterisk's features and can be installed by a newbie? Hi Shoval - I'm going to install asterisk with four digium cards. Can anyone mention a brand that carries boards with 4 compatible pci slots? I ended up getting a Dell PE1600SC. It is a tower computer with 6 PCI slots (2 32-bit, 2 PCI-X, 2 64-bit), but it can be rack-mounted with a special kit from Dell. It does take 4 rack spaces when mounted, but if you have the space, it is the most PCI slots in a single, commercially available, rack-mounted server that I could find. All of the PCI slots seem to work fine with Digium cards we currently have - TE410P and TDM400. You are ok already. It should work even if that privilege line is missing. But to be sure later you can easily fix that. The error is due to a typo in the end of the file Run the first GRANT command again with 'asterisksettings' and not 'asterikssettings' I just fixed the download file. Probably for the same reason you charge for your services. Software takes time and skill to write. And while I'm grateful that people like Mark release their apps to us as open source or under GPL, I don't begrudge anyone from wanting to actually make a living. -brian -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Kevin Walsh Sent: Saturday, April 10, 2004 9:40 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [Asterisk-Users] PC based Switchboard application Pertti Pikkarainen [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: We have switchboard application ( PC+browser+Java ) with quite a rich feature set.
