The HC situation is interesting. People were saying that leveling was really difficult, because it is so insanely difficult to run missions in HC mode. Im not putting anyone down--my voice was one of them. Now that the problem has been addressed, were not sure we like the new way of things. Personally, I dont think that gaining experience just by chilling in a fort is the answer. First, theres no work involved, and second, its hard to get forts if you arent in a clan or if your clan is never online.Instead, and I know Ive said this before, bring the quest system into this, and drastically expand it. Offer more and harder quests for normal players, and offer the same, and harder, quests for HC players. If youre normal, your reward is rep or special items; if youre HC, your reward is experience points to go toward your level. Some of you are saying that these are essentially solo missions, so Im not solving anything.
  Remember that quests dont necessarily need fuel; maybe theyre things you find, or things you spend food to do.Dont get me wrong, I like the new warfare system (at least what Ive seen of it) and think it should definitely stay, since plenty of clans get online at once and really play like a team. I just think free experience is the wrong way to solve HC leveling, since forts are hard to impossible to get unless you happen to be in an active, coordinated clan.

While flying, I will start playing the DMNB music, whiile we let Danny bash your pc to bits! If only that was possible. One tip, vlad. You may be a deacent hacker. You should put those skills to good use. If someone needs help with their pc, and cant use team viewer or jaws tandom, you could hack them to get control of their pc. That is only if they know what youre doing. Some times hacking can be good. However, hacking a game that you have been banned from is bad.

Hi everyone,First, a question, before I launch into my massive post.  What are the tutorial maps for? Second, did this update include Kais updated voices? Okay, now… The post.[[wow]], I didnt check the forums for 4 days, and I come back to an unannounced update, revamped armor, and the possibility of a complete character reset…  Of course, I also come back to full sets of armor, a new thing on M5, better CTF missions, and plenty more improvements, so theres that. Then I read that 3.5 still has bugs which prevent people from taking advantage of some of those improvements, and that a bug fix update is on the way. Oh, and apparently ghost zombies are now a thing, or maybe a bug, that can kill you out of nowhere? So, where do I start?Let me tackle the overall feel of the game. Yes, Swamp has changed over the years, and rightfully so. Looking back, though, I can see that *I* have changed as well. I used to play for the fun of missioning with awesome people who were usually about as good as me, and a few who were way better. Id play for the fun of finding loot and escaping swarms, of exploring the maps, of, yes, dying and having to try to get all my stuff back. I remember that time in 2012 when I found my longbow after days of searching, and was so excited i punched the air… only to find the ceiling was lower than I knew and that Id just punched a ceiling tile out of its frame and onto the floor.Now, Swamp has become something I do to gain experience and reputation; somewhere I can have a chat with people, and kill some zombies; somewhere I can explore M5 (the only map I dont know better than I know my own house); and a place to run the occasional solo mission. CTF really helped, giving us all a novel experience that was, and still is, awesome. I saw the CTF mission rate drop, though, and found that, whereas it used to be hard to launch with less than 6 or 8 people, it became a struggle to find enough to launch at all. CTF brought the joy of a new, Swamp-ish experience back to us, and for a while, we all felt like kids exploring a new and wonderful toy, just like Swamp itself felt to us when we first started playing.I said that theres been a change in me, though, more than in Swamp. What I mean is that I used to die, and shrug it off. Id be mad, sure, and would stop playing for a few hours or days, but Id come back and enjoy getting my character back to where it had been. Now, Im afraid to do anything too dangerous, because I have every weapon and piece of armor in the game (save title weapons) and I dont want to lose all that work. Its a problem with me, not with Swamp, but its affected how I play. Two years ago Id have joined a Deathbringer mission just for fun, gotten munched inside a minute and laughed it off. Now, I dont dare join that kind of thing because I might lose my Apronic armor and other cool toys. Could I find them again? Sure I could, we all could. Would I be happy about it? No, especially if I died because of some stupid mistake. Would life go on? Obviously. Perhaps I just need to die, to face that fear, and go through the arduous task of reclaiming all my gear. Again, this is a problem with me, not with Swamp, but I can now see how it has influenced my opinions on design changes Aprone has made or suggested in the last year or two. Basically, Swamp has gone from a fun challenge to a place where, if I play it safe, I can keep the cool stuff and never have to work very hard for any of it, and thats not why I want to play.Swamp can accommodate either style, and thats the beauty of the recent changes. With customizable missions, I can make things as easy or as hard as I want to. With armor choices and skill points, I can make my character into whatever suits my style of play. With so many weapons, I can use whatever I need to, from a silent pistol or bow to a mini gun. With CTF and raider missions, I can face off against non-zombie enemies if I want to. Thats the point: right now, Swamp is whatever you want it to be, and thats wonderful. If you want to hold onto your stuff like a post-appocolyptic Scrooge, go for it. If you want to play for challenge and teamwork, you can.This leads me to the idea of a character reset. Personally, Id be furious if I suddenly discovered that all my hard work had been for nothing. If I want to start over, Ill delete my character, or start a new one. I can see the logic behind a reset, but I just cant get behind it being forced onto the entire player base.Now, to mission rewards and teamwork. I can still remember my first mission, when I ran up to a crate to grab it, as my two teammates shot the zombies around me, keeping it clear. The problem is, that kind of synchronization is rare and unreliable. I havent missioned much lately, so I might be way off base here, but last I recall, someone could be shooting way across the map and zombies near me would be hit. Or, I could shoot at a zombie attacking a fellow player, and hit

hiya mehgcap. yeah, there are some good points in your post. and as i keep saying to a lot of people. a lot of the problems with a new update, are in your mind. yes, there are actually some real bugs. but a hell of a lot of the so called problems, are simply in your head. if you can get past that, then youd be just fine. we all do it i think. now for example, a real bug i found, is this. i went into a ctf mission with some people yesterday. when it was launched, it took about 30 seconds to load up. which is not normal. then, i got out into our base, and after a little wandering around, i suddenly had a stack of chats catch up on me, as if the game had lagged out, and somebody obviously got to me, cause next thing i knew, i was dead. only problem was, for some strange reason, when i joined the mission and it was launched, it transported my normal chars stuff with me! ... so i had a stack of stuff in a ctf that i shouldnt. that is, ... i did have. till i died
 ! so now ive lost everything. that, is a bug. i should not have had my whole inventory on me. lol. messaged aprone about it, but hes yet to message me back about it. i am reluctant to play now, until he contacts me. i dont want to make it hard for him to track down what happened to my char if he can. i want my stuff back, aprone! ahahaha.

I want to let you all know that I am not the one who hacked the server. Danny knows I am not, because even though I logged on on saturday, because of my curiosity to see if it worked from my home ip I was banned again. Ethen sent me a series of ims on skype that accused me of doing it and called me power hungry. He also threatened to have me arrested even though he has no real evidence that I did it. He said that his real evidence was that I left after an admin told me to leave. I was following an admins instructions. I was asleep at the time that Ethin accused me of doing the hack. He kept telling me that I did it and cussing me out. I swear, I never ever have any reason to hack anyone. I would have to know the IP address of the server in order to hack it. I asked Ethin what IP address hacked it, to make sure it wasnt mine. He never gave me an IP address. And, the first IM he sent me was at about 9 in the morning. He said Tyler Chamblish, What the hell are
  you doing? As if I was doing something at the time he wrote the message. He accuses me of the hack after I ask what he meant. If you were going to make yourself seem like you knew who did it, you should have sent me the IM at the time you thought I did the hack. So, since he has no real prough that I did this, I would like to say to the whole forum. I was asleep. I was banned. I dont have the reason to do such a thing. And from a security stand point, if the password system had been put in long ago, this hack wouldnt have happened. His accusations were like saying that someone stole his car even though he didnt have one. And, he said that the reason that he blamed me is because that seemed like that would be something that I would do because according to him, I am power hungry. He also goes as far as saying that I wanted to destroy Dannys games.

hello,severalv years ago, model talker was used to create 2 freeware text to speech voices, cody and jake (the ladder after jake McMahan). however, they were only available through a defunct ftp site run by a friend of mine.If anyone has these voices, could they post a link? also, where can I find flexvoice? that (not to be confused with flextalk) was the successor to text assist. mindmaker, the company who created it, doesnt exist any longer. If anyone knows where flex voice can be downloaded, let me know.

I would like to take a step back and talk about game design, separated for the moment from the gritty realities of server synching etc.A game can be thought of as a series of decision points. In a game like swamp, there are moments of high decision density, such as when about to be swarmed, and moments of low decision density, such as when configuring skill points.In the ideal design, *every* decision has a noticeable impact on the future play of the game. For example in the game of poker, you can take a bad hand and fold it, or you can bluff to see if you can intimidate the other players sufficiently to win the pot. The first is the low risk, cut-your-losses play. The second is the high risk, increase likelihood of potential reward right now, and add to confusion later play. The game after you make this decision is quite different in the short term, and as you play out the decisions in multiple hands, the game play alters according to how
  you mix fold and bluff responses.Chess might even be a more easily comprehended example. Every move affects the future game play, even if only by, as chess people say, wasting a tempo, which is pretentious git speak for making a move that didnt do anything much.The best games enforce this by having the mechanics of the game support the notion that every decision is significant either immediately, or over the long term.All right, so here we have a game with about a jillion decisions per player. Lets take one example, for those who are objecting to light armor being less protective than heavy armor. I submit to you that this scheme supports multiple styles of playing better than would one where the armors are less distinguishable.Now, in fairness, the difference between 87% protection and 95% protection is actually bigger than you think. To see this, analyze it by flipping the perspective. Comparing 87% to 95%, it does

So, If I take ten 30-point hits, its the difference between 15 points of damage and 39.And so be it. The lightly armored player is choosing maneuverability over protection. This supports a style of play that emphasizes staying out of corners, not standing and slugging it out with a swarm and generally choosing ones moment to dash in and get a crate. The heavier option supports a more static, shoot everything style of playing that is less concerned about tactical accumen. For a newer player, or a player just getting to know a new map, this might make sense, since you might not have the good shooting locations memorized, or be able to get to them under pressure.The decision to differentiate armor protection actually supports multiple playi

Now, there is a mechanics-driven reason to do so, because its more difficult for the same person to be the gunner and the getter at the same time. As I and MusicMan have both suggested, mission rewards need to be calibrated such that more people on a mission increase the rewards available rather tha

But, if Aprone is doing his job correctly, every decision has benefit and cost, and it is up to you to discover the balance that suits your needs best. We should complain when he does things where the mechanics do not contribute to the importance of decisions. Otherwise, we should improvise, adapt and overcome.

I have gathered that it was a well known player who was well known for shooting at ships, and whom I band because of a quite mild insult when I tried to get him to follow the policies, thoughs on dmnb should know who im talking about it. @cruiserdestroyer, if this is the guy you warned us about 4 days in advance, thank you very much.

Who said that being blind should be a walk in the park?Bloatware is just another tax we must pay for the privilege of living in a modern society.Am I the only one who think that software accessibility isstagnant and hasnt made any progress in the last 15 years?If I power up my old XP based VM, I can essentially do the same with software which was brand new when some of you were children.But screen readers essentially do the same, have the same limitations and software overall has not been easier but is rather becoming more complicated to use.Instead of pressing one hotkey, Ill have to use three or four, one to scroll, another to simulate other pointing or directing functions which are now integral to touch interfaces and which can no longer be avoided.

@dark : I understand that point, and Im also a fan of those sites you mentioned. Their gamebooks are awesome. But...for darkgrue, theres no the randomize feature within the program, so the best type of game that fits here is going to be the puzzle of whats right or wrong.I suggested this idea in case the game is too long or in case players are too lazy to start over. My game continues to be that way now. and for some reason, I cant make the story shorter without having to completely cut some awesome scene, which is a real pitty.Im also agree with the limitation in having saves. It prevents people from cheating, though not really prevent but still. Me myself, not more than 10 saves seem to be fine, unless you make a game with 1 pages, thats something.

Danny, you are correct about prior versions of Ubuntu having an accessible version of the Dash in Unity. The problem is a couple years ago they decided to rewrite Unity, create a newer 3d version of it using different toolkits etc, and the end result is a bunch of accessibility problems that didnt previously exist. So its a case of filing bug reports and waiting for someone to fix those bugs in Unity. In the mean time as I said using a different desktop environment is the best solution.CBenner, while Vinux is a decent solution for beginners I happen to feel it leaves much to be desired and shouldnt be recommended to a new user. The principle reason is that Vinux is based on a much older version of Ubuntu and lacks a lot of the accessibility updates and bug fixes present in more modern versions. If people are talked into using Vinux because it is made specifically for the blind they miss out on a lot of good stuff by doing so.

Exactly, a dictionary can be a good solution to store ennemies and manage them without order!  I think this way if you erase the reference in the dictionary the object will just be garbage collected and so you have your solution. Arrays are only good to do things on the hole selection of objects which are inside it, you cant really use index to manage them

Hello,I’m a student at the school of foreign languages which attends lessons in my city. There are four languages available, certainly combined, like English+Italian, English+German, and English+French. So In the second grade also the third language is added, and I study English+Italian+German. To be honest, as it’s stated above, it depends on the person and the country as well. For example, I’m an Albanian. Here in the past, during the years 1925 to 1939, we were influenced by Italian culture. This situation went on for years and during the communist regime many people used to illegally listen to Italian radios and many seniors may speak Italian a little nowadays. After the communist regime many people migrated to Italy, and the influence became more distinguish. There was a period during 1999 to 2003 or 2005 when people used to listen so much to Italian music and watch Italian films. Also our language contains many Italian words, and it appears easy to many people to learn Italian here. But I myself find difficult learning French and German because they didn’t have any impact here and the grammar is a bit different. Honestly, when I first started to learn French, I got headache and I left the course.Then there’s English. English in my opinion is good for those people who are able to memorize so much, and for those who love it. I’m one of them and I have to say that the grammar is easy, there aren’t so much tenses like in Italian. But there is an endless number of Idioms and phrasal verbs and it is supposed that a large number of words to have two or more synonyms. So here’s where the difficulty begins. I think English is great for first levels, but when you study upper ones, the work doubles.

Its the first of the month, so as usual that means another of these topics for all your random discussional needs. Chat casually about anything from what your playing/watching/reading at the moment, how disasterous (or otherwise), your life might be, to pretty much anything else that occurs to you. Also remember that no rule says you can only post in this topic once, feel free to throw in any comments, observations or whatever that occur to you.Of course, as Lord high topic starterer I get to go first . Today Ill probably be heading off to spend some more time at my brothers, first going out for an awsome meal somewhere and then sitting around continuing with attack on titan on his home projector system. This should be awsome, sinse Attack on Titan is looking definitely interesting despite rather over inflated dialogue in the dub. I&
 #039;m also really! storming through Patrick Rothfus Kingkiller series, Ive only got about another six hours of name of the wind left and considering that I started the book on Thursday thats quite going some . Very great to see a fantasy author who can write, and the setup is intreaguing particularly how rather than a global view of the world like in WoT or Mistborm you follow a sigle character, which I actually prefer. I also really admire the way that Rothfus doesnt just have the hole book be a parade of depressing grimness, there are as many good strangers as bad ones, also the book isnt all war and battles either, indeed its quite refreshing to read something that gets its conflicts and excitement through means other than mighty sword battles,  not that a good dramatic fight isnt a bad thing if handled properly in the plo
 t and described well, but you can feel sometimes as if your reading a transcript of a computer game about how the main character goes to his first war and gains so much experience points which he puts into sword skill . My only cryticism is that the romance seems a little too shiny, albeit that sinse the story is being told by the main character I can sort of understand the reason why it seems more significant. I also like the way that the main character is setup as ridiculously brilliant at pretty much everything from music to smithing, but that this doesnt exactly get him too farwith things either. I wont unfortunately be writing a review of the books for fantasybookreview.co.uk, sinse the lady who writes many reviews (and who I often agree with), has already done a fine job with Rothfus, though I have just sent off a speculative peace for their blog o
 n the subject of escapism, well see how that goes.

@Marta, Aprone is correct here. With any html gamebook, whether it is created with darkgrue, on the ffproject or project.aon just ad the page to your favourites to save that position, and yes, you could theoretically use this to cheat just the same way as with the old print gamebooks you could save your page number. Myself, the way I play is to allow myself one savepoint and one only, and save the game after a significant event but not after every page.Choiceofgames are rather different because as well as your position, you also have your stats to consider, and that is why they have a save option to specifically let you continue at the end of chapters etc, plus of course if you play the choiceofgames on Ios or Android your position gets saved automatically anyway so you can stop and resume the game whenever you want. Darkgrue however lets you use the classic way with stats and roll dice and use a charsheet just like the project.aon and chronicles of arbo
 rell books do, which lets the author come up with their own system for stats and not need to result to complex scripting.

The lag is a bug, but the slowing effect of bumping into many zombies is to make it more of a challenge for Swamp Gods to solo 180 deathbringers. The new player is not affected. Hmm. I wonder if Ill have to end up putting jumping into the game after all? But if I do that, you should expect that Ill be putting in-air powerups and things you can drive on, though. lol. May as well. but as I said in This blog post, I still havent yet coded opponents, and my goal is to get them fully functional with the items already present before I begin to advance further. This game is sure to take a long time, but I will release playable demos before the actual thing is complete. Ill be adding all of your suggestions to a directory of some sort so I always have access to them if or when this thread dies.And thanks, Vlad for the offer.  th no other zombies around, slows you down for about 5-10 seconds slowing you down to 50% of your normal speed, and leaving zombies to normal speedthis, may very well put characters in risk of dieing because not only do steps slow down, but also the whole frame rate slows down ( dragging across walls, crates, or any other obsticles) while zombies are at their normal speed.- lag in terms of random periodical frame rate changes: this manifests in a character moving at the full speed at one second and the other second moving at reduced speed, and its random (90%, 75%, anywhere above and below 50%).Note that this has nothing to do with the speed limit that happens when zombies are hitting you, it happens randomly, and lasts a few secondsZombies, slow down, too, but they seem to be a little faster, making it nearly impossible to do anything about them hitting you in this state, because weapons shoot at the slower frame rate (in some cases its ev

Half of the stuff changed have not been documented (e.g. new location of stuff...)- reset: Ive heard and read about the possible reset of all chars to level 1 losing all sorts of titles, I believe this would be a huge turn off, and that would be one of things to make me not renew my account.Not because I cant live without my levels, but because the fact that being reset to level 1 on all my chars, would mean that I have waisted all of my time playing swamp, getting a title, going hc, just doing stuff to have all of my gear vanish and chars go to level 1.First of all who is gonna help peple level if everyones level 1?what kind of fun would that be to have all characters at map 1, eventually 2 and no

Hi mmFirst off, a reset is a bad idea: contradictory to what you wrote, some people take months and months in hc to gain a title, and due to personal ingagementessimply dont have much time to do much else beside chatting for a while. Again, contradictory to what you wrote, there are still people (me included) who prefer to take others on missions and battle through it all. I do solo missions from time to time, but thats usually to gain a level or two, and because no one is interested in going along. The way you suggest the game should work (use what you can find, and scrap inventories) would make this a game where only the geeks will preveal, since not everyone has hours and hours time to try to find what they can use. Also, no one denies anyone the right to put up a 45 crate mission with a certain amount of zombies, put together a team, and do exactly what you did in earlier versions. As for forts: maybe the food reserves are a bit on the high side, that

I believe BGT gives you an implementation of Pathfinding. If it does, dont just teleport them; instead, implement destinations for each enemy. Then, when the formation moves, have each enemy pathfind to its new position. If you just teleport them and this is an RTS, most of the point of formations will be lost because I can just teleport past all of yours.You may wish to also consider defining patterns, for example 3x3 or line or whatever. If you do this, then you can probably make a formation object to which enemies can belong, which has a specified pattern and which lets you shuffle enemies around in it. Also, rather than having to select individual enemies, it might not be a bad idea to offer a select box option. And finally, if the formations do have patterns, bringing enemies from all over the map and into one formation can totally have them actually walk to the appropriate place and assemble.

Re: missions by number of participants.It worked that way, early on. people quickly realized that they could get massive teams together, with so much freedom to spare that people literally ran off to perpetually swarmed border areas of the map and played with their miniguns the entire time, while the worst that happened to anyone else was Parts or Repackaging getting swarmed. (Breaking a crate out of parts inspection use to be the most strategic thing we had to do, before figuring out how to defend Stripmalls took over...).Wed have missions with teams easily in the double digits, and everyone would level up like 5 times after every mission, gain enough rep to buy all the ammo and med kits ever, then immediately do it all over.Aprone realized this was going a bit too far, and reversed it, so that smaller teams meant a higher reward.Then we got chronic soloing and kicking.Its really hard to find a balance, because we are all fricken munchk
 ins who want to stay alive with our favorite weapons forever. We have, like, no one actually getting in the spirit of the game, except maybe newbies who have no choice because theyre forced to be sneaky and actually deal with the zombies on maps 1 and 2.Then theres truck-sitting. We really need to distinguish between players who arent trying, and players who just arent that good (and players who dont devote enough hours a week to Swamp that it might as well go on their resume). People who sit in one safe place and dont contribute differ from players who go out and try to get crates, but arent able to contribute as much as others (especially if theyre lower level! Not having 20 points in speed should not mark one as useless!).I wouldnt mind going back to the big team = big reward model, to at least try and see if it helps.Im gonna go play the Multiplayer demo campaign, now.

Thanks.As for testing, anyone can be a tester if they visit the games page of my website, when I release alphas and such. But I will not be doing one of those beta team dropbox folders, as I dont know and trust enough people to feel secure that:1. drama and fights wont break out in my folder.2. Files will be deleted, shared, or otherwise negatively motified.3. my source wont be stolen. I literally only know one person, whos name I will not say, who I know beyond the slightest shadow of a doubt I can trust with such a thing, and hes also the only one whos got to test the game on multiple occasions already.Vlad I wont add you on skype because I literally know nothing about you save that youre vlad and from Romania, and Im not 100% sure about the latter.

Hey all,This might be a bit of a long post, so I apologize. First, this update is definitely, definitely an improved one. I love how the lag with many enemies has been fixed. Second, I love the new Map 5 edition. Could you make it more difficult?  I do, however, dont really like the multiplication issue. Personally, I only think HC peoples inventories should get reset. Normals only have a 7 percent chance of getting the items fixed. Its not like you can take those to a fort. But on HC, you can. So, this is why I say only HCs inventories get reset. Another thing. Could you please, reduce the time when you get hit by a zombie? Personally, right after you get hit, you should have a, say, point 5 second slow down, then your speed goes back to normal. This delay is a bit too much, which in turn, could get us trapped, and eventually, killed. If you do plan to reset
 , at least do it today, or as soon as possible. My honest opinion? Everyone plays however they want to. You added the delete character feature for a reason. If you dont like your character, you can just destroy it, and redue it again. For example, if you want to mainly focus on missioning to improve stats, or be a killing machine with a minigun, you may. The downside. Since the Minigun is only found on sub1, youd either need to get a high level player to get you one, and get you to level 60, or youd need to risk your own life to try and capture one. But, my point is, we play however we want to play. We decide whether or not we want people on our missions, if we want to purely kill kill, if we want to just be a total crate junky, or other things. One last thought. You should implament a limit on how many forts a clan can own. 10? Thats way, way too many for just 1 clan, and makes HC well, really unfair for other players that actually work for their levels,
  not sitting in their forts all day long, leveling for nothing. Im sorry but, its very, very true. Sorry if Ive made anyone who reads this angry, I just needed to let my voice be heard.

i have kept quiet on this for a while but i think i have to say some things about forts and hardcore.if you think people that own a few forts sit in them all day gaining levels for free you are sadly mistaken. it takes a lot of time work and effort to take a fort. it then takes constant teamwork to hold them. try going pvp for 12 hours strait against somebody attacking one of your forts. then looting to replace damaged armor, build up ammo, meds etc. the fort system while not to everybodys liking does bring teamwork back in to the game. and as for not being able to take them because they have lots of food in? how about thinking about that for a few minutes. so a clan sits in their fort all day and gets levels, but their forts are full of food. where do you think that comes from? it comes from working together as a team. missioning, looting and working like you wouldnt believe. trust me, holding a bunch of forts is much harder work than running round in ci
 rcles doing missions all day which the fort owners have to do as well, on top of fighting, replacing damaged stuff and loading their weapons again.not to mention any names but one person who was talking about this has found 14 crates in 38 wearhouse missions and is a level 200 something so dont point the finger about being lazy. sitting in trucks is a lot more lazy than working your butt off every day to protect your forts. ill leave that there.

Badger, with all due respect, Im sure if you examine the points you tried making, youll find some huge flaws within. thats all Im gonna say on the subject. I feel Im wasting my time even trying to get anything across to many of you, and thats probably due to the fact yall are unwilling to change the way in which youve gotten accustomed to playing the game, so when someone tries, it is easier to attack these people than to come up with a way to actually remedy the unbalance. Im agreeing with @tward here on vinux. I first used vinux in 2008 on vmware, but once ubuntu 9.04 came out, and I had had quite enough with windows, me running on windows xp at that time decided to switch, whent with ubuntu. Yes yes, I know, ubuntu 9.04 had a lot of instibilities, but once properly fixt, the responce was a grate leap over ubuntu 8.10, and ubuntu 9.10, despite being a complete failure with media play back, improved on speech support. Ubuntu 10.04 was just one of thoughs got everything right releases. Vinux was their, and if I remember correctly, a lot of pulseaudio fixes were ported to ubuntu 10.04, and these fixes, for the most part, stayed with ubuntu. In thoughs days, id happyly tell a new user vinux was the best and to get it for starting out. However, now adays, I dont even use it. Its miles behind the compitition, and accessibility in ubuntu has improved so much that vinux has saddly, become out of date. Sonar however, that
 s dephanatly an operating system id consider using, if my externnel drive actually worked, seeing as I dont have any blank dvds and I stopt using dvds a while ago anyway.

@MArta, you can still get a little randomization, say the random choice with a few alternatives the way some of the project.aon books did by getting someone to roll a dice, eg if you roll a 1-3 go here, a 4-6 go here, or a 7-9 go here, if you roll a zero reroll Indeed the Arborell torchlight game uses that process to create a random dungeon by having you roll on a number of tables.I do agree though, having a random selector would be helpful at times.

Hey. At least it aint batteries. I mean if it were that, wed have servers with 75% uptime rather than aprones about 98% Although, come to think of it, it would be nice if they had backup batteries for such things. Aprone lives in the USA and here we can get power outages from freezing precipitation, severe thunderstorms etc. And if he lives in either the midwest or northeast regions, Im surprised those power outages havent been more frequent for him this season.

Here is my idea:When you are driving without crashing, youll get coins. Those coins should be used to buy more fuel. The tracks should be longer than you have fuel or, so you need to play the track or tracks over and over Again to save up for more fuel.Just a small idea I got. If he can, well, Ill definiely be looking forward to it, as I dont think you guys will be expecting what I have planned.I recently watched a film called Rise of The Planet of the Apes, which I rather enjoyed, it was more of a character film but with a bit of action too, and was written quite well. The music was also quite good but I think could have been a little better. Looking forward to watching Dawn of the Planet of the Apes this week.
