I remember having trouble getting universal speech to work; it required me to make some changes to the header file that came with the library. I'd recommend using the Tolk library for screen reader abstraction instead because it worked out of the box for me and has a more permissive license if you're looking for commercial usage.

see the problem with that part now is I've done it so many times it's kinda become second nature, lol so it's hard to recall what exactly is where because now I just skip the textjust remember though that the rooms have multiple entrances, some of which will have regular exits to other passages with doors, and so on or maybe the other way roundthe majority of the maze is on the third floor, the first two are cakewalks in comparisonhth

Hi,On the braille note, and other devices that still support KNG, I understand using it. Its the only voice that works decently, and doesn't lag the BN so badly you can barely use it. But when it comes to computers, there is no way I can use KNG. I totally understand eloquence, and eSpeak. I am one who likes to use a fast speech rate, so it just comes naturally.

I fixed some errors in the object list. How can I put it in the game so that when it updates other people playing in English will get it? I'm not trying to be mean here, but doesn't 巨大戦艦 mean huge battle ship? and 超巨大戦艦 mean super huge battle ship? I know that they don't mean large quabo or whatever it says. Their are other ones as well like バイオリッパー is bio ripper and not bio ripper. It's the same thing with claw and craw. I know that it's normal for some people to mix up l and r, but maybe when writing these translations, try using an English voice to check and see if it sounds rite. I'm not listing all of them, but their are more. So how can I make it so people playing can get this fixed version in their games? I know I'm not supposed to upload it because the translation costs money.

@crashmaster I did not write the BNS battle and gotcha games. Those were games released by mr. Daniel Zingaro in the late 1990's, written in basic for the bns and Braille Light M40 Notetakers. Other than writing camel, I do run a few game servers, assist others with technical issues and set up secure, accessible, and low cost software solutions. I might have the basic files for mr. Zingaro's games, along with the run.bns file that was required to play them in storage, but I had absolutely nothing to do with those masterpieces.

hi all. So I've been playing this game to death (unlocked Sara's story, gotten max rank for helping the security forces, found the pendent, bla bla you get the point.) I'm finally stuck though. I've gotten 8 or so keys from the basement, and it seems I'm missing 2. The big key and the key of light. I've found a couple rooms (the room with the sign on the first floor, the 1 on the 3rd floor that has 3 entries.) I can't for the life of me figure out how to get through the wall to them. I figured there'd be other rooms with entries to other parts of the those rooms, but I've searched the entire dungeon and still can't find it. I know there's the room with 2 switches but I can only get to the top one though. Any hints with this part would be greatly appreciated.

Hello.Well I've been doing a number of things the past few days. Going to my guitar lesson, going shopping, sounds boring but it was awesome I got some good food and stuff like that. And my sister and I went to electronics and I got to touch the iPhone 6 on display. That was awesome I want one but I've been stalling about getting an upgrade.Something really funny happened the other day. I was helping my sister take a bible quiz and we were almost finished and her phone died. It was so funny and it was even funnier because she got so mad when it happened. I just told her to calm down and do it on the computer. She did but she was still pouting about it for a while lol.@Dark, I've been off coffee for a while but your very lucky to be using beans. I need to get some the next time I go shopping. Right now I'm stuck with ground coffee: why me? lol. I just recently started drinking coffee again I'm addicted to it I think. I really miss the way 
 freshly ground smells in the morning. There used to be a really good coffee brand called tullys. I used to buy it at the grocery store but now it's become some sort of upscale brand. Last I checked it was $28 for 4 ounces.Well that's enough of me rambling on about coffee and everything else.See You Later!

Hi everyone.Well here's an update things are a little bit better. The fighting has stopped for a couple of days and it's been peaceful. But today there was a little bit of an argument. You will probably laugh it's so stupid. He was mad because we went and got fast food and apparently his burger had lettuce and onions which he doesn't like. So he made a big deal about it then when mom told him to calm down he mumbled something about how we're all liars. That was unpleasant but praise the lord! it wasn't as bad as it could have been.Things have been going great for the past few days and I just wanted to thank everyone who said a prayer or whatever they did from the bottom of my heart. You have helped me out so much and I can never repay you but I will be giving you all thumbs up. It's the least I can do for now. If you would, I would ask you to keep up prayers for me and my family because living with my unpredictable brother is a strugg
 le for all of us. Also if you wouldn't mind slip in a prayer for my brother himself. Personally I think there's no helping him but do it or not it's okay. Hmm, if you mean getting the entire conversation, what I did was go into the chat history window, by that I mean the list that has the dialog in it between you and the other person, press applications or shift+f10, and select the "select all" option. Then I just pressed applications again, and selected "copy selection".

Hi Supermalavox.Yes it was probably being played without talkback by a sighted person. I don't play much on android I'm more of an iOs man. That's not to say I don't love android too. I'll give you a couple of good android games I remember DroidFlip, crazy bat, hosted games and choice of games titles, dice world (can't remember if this is on android I'm putting here just in case it is), spellstack (think this is for both iOs and android), some of the storm8 games: iMobsters, zombies live, and vampires live. Hi smoothgunner.Right now this is a starter thing, its unlikely this will be online.I can't speak for the rest of the company, but the main goal is to create audiobooks for the blind that are interactive.1812 heart of winter was the first of these and is due to be more.There is a last crusade remake in the works I know maybe because I have seen the buggy prototype but thats a long way off.Smaller games like audiogame hub are more experimentals than actual games, smaller projects to release for free between the actual big games or thats how I understood it at the time.I am unsure what the big developments of sonnar actually are only that there are 6 people in the dev team including the boss, 2 of which I have met 3 of which I have corrisponded by email.It seems like the games 32 bit version is still not active so I think it will be a monday thing though I need to check mail to see what is up with that.

It is a great idea, but alas someone will end up ruining it. Theres many examples. All the let's plays folders, my folder didn't get spammed, someone started deleting everything in there. Sad, too. Ahoy!@BlakeT, lol that's funny. I've never been able to fall asleep by playing games because I have to do thinking. Reading will usually put me to sleep at night. Anway as dark said clok is a good mud. It's very complex and it has a very friendly community. I used to play a lot it's fun to just hang around sometimes and chop down trees or talk to other characters. Another good one is prometheus: the eternal wars. That one is frustrating and nice at the same time. It's frustrating because you have to give your character a description and you have to make choices on how you want your ships, communicators, and such to look. But it's very fun because there are channels for all kinds of things. Ooc, private, chat, things like that. The people are very friendly, heck I spent a lot of times just talking to a lot of good people lol.@Dark, well I'll have to check out avalon your post intrigued me. I haven't been on muds lately my laziness
  is getting in the way I guess lol.

Hello.@Milos, sometimes laptops don't have traditional function keys. There is usually a key to the right of your left control key. Press and hold that then press f4. This should solve your problem.@DanC, that's great your enjoying it. It makes me want to play again. I think my favorite map packs are tomb robber, one shot wonders, and starship battles. They all have such great sound effects. I think zombie house is awesome mostly because it's a huge zombie battle lol!

See, and there comes the rotten apple theory. Those who did get whiped without cheating, suddenly land within the group of ungreatful .. No no no, honestly though, after rereading the mumbo jumbo as Sam called it, I do get the picture. And sam, if you still want first hand expiriences on how to deal with cheaters, ask Aprone. He basically did the same thing, for probably the same reasons. I remember that due to cheaters, Swamp nearly got pulled two years ago, not to mention people messing with bug repports and stuff. So, yup, money seems the only thing that for the greater part, stops cheaters (not entirely though, but for a big part at least).

I'm not trying to be a troll here, but seriously why does almost everyone adore Keynote Gold? It's an old, outdated synth from the 90s and it sounds (to me at least) horrible. It pronounces lots of things incorrectly and doesn't inflect very well at all. Espeak offers the same responsiveness and clarity minus the botched pronunciation. What am I missing?

The Coll Gamer,I used Gold Wave sound editor to mix the sounds, music mp3 and Text Aloud to generate the words that Dark wrote using the Mike voice.Aaron,Thanks. I was inspired by yours but I wanted it to sound different too. I like the way you stopped the voice to let the sound effects stand out.Now if we could get Dark to record his voice, it would make both much better.How about it Dark?Maybe the forum should have an audio drama category.

So, even if you change the install path to e.g. C:\shadowrine this will not work? Interesting. My system even doesn't have japanese locale installed and I can install all versions after 3.0 just fine. It is definitely a system-specific issue, but right now I don't have idea what it could be.

Ok, [[wow]]. I've been writing this post for the last several hours, just coming back to it when ever I had time. So, here you go. I atempted to make sure I sounded as least harsh as possible, i'm not even angry. But if one of these points rubs someone the rong way I apologize. Also, just saying, knowing me, this is probably just in a big mumbo jumbo, but you should be able to make sence out of at least some of it.  here goes. Hi all. First, I knew it would happen and understand why your all frusterated at my decision. About the maps thing first, I meant possibly certain stores in the village, with other ways to get those items of course. It was only a thought, not even something confirmed I would do. All the unfairness, I completely understand as well. I just want to be able to hold onto most of the free portion of the game. I want people to be able to play it
  fairly, for free. Which is why I would have no problem making the limitations more fair, possibly even slightly lowering the price of these accounts of course giving the purchasers a slight refund, but i'd have to think about stuff. This was an extremely hard decision to make. Do you know how much I tried keeping the game free for everyone? But thanks to not just the cheaters, I had to change my mind and make paid accounts a thing. Last time, I atempted doing a purge whare people could save there accounts. I offered restores to inisent people who lost there things after I fixed the bug they were using... But everyone was just to ungreatful for me to even consider doing that again. Everyone was extremely frusterated about loosing a day of work because they submitted there characters before. I know that's how it works, and it makes sence why people were angry at me then, and I know everyone just cares about the game play. But so much more goes into this for me. I was trying
  to fix the cheating bugs staying up all night during my vacation, etc etc. I know, it's know excuse and i'm not treating it as such, i'm just mensioning it. Ok maybe it's a bit of an excuse, because it played a part in this decision. How these cheats work, is someone finds a bug to get 1300 pop cans, then go around giving 25 pop cans to every player they find. This makes it nearly impossible to just catch one cheater and make him/her go away. It's already to late. I can't just back up the char database... And we can thank the people who think it's fun to make the 2323232323232 ahahahahahahahah efefefefefef jkjkjhfkjghfkjgfkjgh characters all the time, play them for  2 minutes and never come back. More spamming and cheating. It quickly spirals out of control once 20 people have 25 pop cans... Then start giving there friends... On and On and On. It just get's to the point whare I need to make an instand decision, to try to atem
 pt to avoid a full purge. It keeps happening. So I had to do something to prevent it from happening. I know some of you think I can press a couple buttons and get rid of all the cheaters, but that's not how it works. Look at criticviews posts about the IP addresses. People can buypass bans. They can recreate there characters. Theres nothing I can do to stop it aside from money, the thing that is 200 times harder to hack. About the rules, I agree. I completely trake responsibility for not doing that and realize it as a huge mistake, and your statements are completely justified. However, theres more than 1 way to get information acrossed. When people get 200 pop cans, I try to warn them. All the time I try to warn them. They just don't listen. Rules or not, it just wouldn't matter. Theres a point whare rules or not, you know it's cheating and you know it's rong, even with out comon sence, at least if your getting warnings. Theres  a /warn command for 
 admins for heavens sakes and they don't listen. I ban them... These cheating asses know what there doing rong. And if I can't find them? I set the motd or put out a public notification. Doesn't matter, it keeps happening. So rules or not like I said, it wouldn't have made a might of a difference anymore, at least for stopping cheating it's self. But for explinations and just general responsibility it makes perfect sence, and I'm gonna get it done. And I do, try to block cheating in the survive the wild code. But after a while... I can't just sit there fixing cheating bugs till 7:30 in the morning, then get pissed on by parents... Yeah, I do breefly wanna bring that up. The time I have on the computer is sometimes very limited. My parents are very strict about it and I avoid there strictness as best I can, but I don't wanna spend the time I have on the computer which may sceme like a lot, fixing the code. Yes, security is a big thing to be work
 ed on and I do, but theres a point... At least for me, whare it just hardly is worth it to sit for so long and fix those bugs. It means no more game features. Thus charging for no limitations. People have loved the game

I might have found a sollution for all problems in one go ...If I'm remembering correctly, Sam said in the past that the server has two ip addresses. Why not keep one for the free game, with limitations and findable teleporters, dfc etc ... and the other for the call it premium game with buyable stuff etc. The disadvantage of the free server would be that it would be prone to cheating, and possible get perged as a qoncequence, as hopefully the premium server would remain cheat free (unless someone is really happy to lose money). It would resolv the pk thing, it would resilve the before mentioned teleportation issues etc. I'm only not sure on how chat would work etc, but that's why i'm not a developer

Sam can make this game being payed, it's not so bad in fact, but, if there is so big difference between people who can pay and who can not, it's not going to be a good one. So that's why I would be glad if there would be an offline mode with less amound of functions, maps, and items of corse. And noone cancelling the donation.

in the samurai games, yes, but you'll be playing with people who are with you, at the place where you are, and not online, meaning that each one takes a part of the screen and uses it to play. Not sure if there's an online multiplayer samurai game, since I haven't checked out all the variables.

My suggestion inshort was to unlock the game's feature by buying any upgrade from the store, not by buying it as a premium account itself, which means that the game will remain with limits, and with your buying process of anything from the store, those limits vanish and the game returns into normal as it is premium now.

Hello,@Mohammad:I don't think so. Either make it completely payed, or completely free. If you keep the store system but make the game free again, there are going to be hackers, but more importantly, the guys who can't pay are going to struggle, thus making the game play unfare. We spend our hours trying to buy item x, but those guys are teleporting it, picking it up, teleporting back. You're right, we can use are money, too, but what if we don't have credit card? What if, as others have said, PayPal is banned?

Hello, let me say that this thing was unfare at the beginning of the item store business, and now this is completely, totally unfare. This is a complete persecution.Firstly, when this item store business began, money used to talk. Were you about to die? Bang! teleport. Were you stuck? Bang! Teleport. Oh, I forgot, you couldn't die in the first place! You had death cards! Did your health reach 0? Boom, there you are, respawned, with all of your items! The poor guy over there is trying to kill you over and over again, but you respawn yet again. Did that poor guy waste your energy with his awesome skills? No problem at all! Use 20cans of pop once, there you go, you have 1 energy! Let that poor guy feel his poorness! And now, as I have said, this is completely and totaly unfare. Now you won't even be able to go to those areas you were stuck in before. Well done, a very good job, go on. Make that game completely payware so noone can complain. Either white, or black.
  There should be no grey. because there can't be, everything you do is unfare for  a side.

It depends on whether your internet is a public or private wireless network. If it is public, it is verry possible that many people are connected, and that can slow down your connection speed. If it is private, it is possible that your network connection is not secured. If this is the case, you may have people hacking into your network connection. To prevent this, you should consider securing the network with a security key.

So many things to say about... Emm, I don't mind that stw is payed, and I even like this limit, we've got something to do.. But, maps limit, less gifts per day... I like this game for sounds which are there, for some maps, so if I will not be able to visit them, why should I play then? And Sam, if you made than noone can drop teleports and dfcs, why you can't do that noone could give them to others? Eg, if I bought some dfc, I can keep it only for my self, and wouldn't be able to give them to others, it could help a lot.About the rules: lol, since this game exists, the rules are just on work, and, in our minds    I know not so many audio games, but this is the only one what still has no rules in. Ok, someone here said that rules aren't so important for cheaters, but, you know, if there are no rules, they couldn't even being called 
 a cheater, because... Who said that we can't cheat, only admin? Ok, show me the document where this rule is, I don't wanna believe just in words. That's, people would say, and for them is not also important, that others saying to them it is not allowed. Now, I am not saying that rules can stop cheaters, I just wanna say, that the document could help the admins and dev to give an explanation to those, cheaters. And if they will not understand, it's already another thing what dev and admins have look for.And, just maybe in the future, I'd like to have this game in offline mode. Yes, I haven't enough money to buy it, and even I'd have I wouldn't. I am very, very sorry for saying that, but: so big difference between payed and free accounts here.  Nice thing will happen, if someone will cheat, all people which have free accounts, would be purged.Excuse me, just for this a few suggestions...
