Yes I do. go to The blind mice mega mall and create an account, then you can access their movie vault of audio escribed films. They have all 6 starwars films and I believe the 7th, my lady and I have watched them with description. If you get the stupid thing about the blind mice mall not remembering your password between logins, just use the "forgotten password" thing instead (it's really irritating but it's something to do with being in the Us I think, either way at least there's a workaround). Hth.

Yes, this could work using wine or something like that. But, only really for a limited time. Its only an amount of time before you experience a runtime error or something that makes the server stop. I would think, its harder to code a program that kills runtimes in linux. Windows, you can use Autoit, but that's not this topic. Not to mention, it would lag, very badly. Hi everyone,I'm not sure if there's an app similar to UMusic for Mac, but basically I want to start doing something on my channel that I'm not sure how long it's been going for. People upload full albums as one single video on Youtube and put timestamps within the description to jump to each song on the album. Making the mp3 with the albums songs joined together isn't an issue. @Aaron: I've never heard of that before, but now that I have I think I might be able to make it down to the Petersborough event this year or next. I had to trash my costumes that I'd already made, but I've done a female version of Hawkeye (the Avengers) and a Mew Ichigo (from an old anime called Tokyo Mew Mew) cosplay.I'd need to think about how to introduce sound to my cosplay because honestly I can't do accents besides my own and I hadn't really considered that aspect of costuming before. I'd probably also need to step up my game a bit given the quality of what I'm seeing in the gallery. But it seems like a great event and if I can go in costume one day, then I definitely will!

I have a couple things. First, Grindelwald was mentioned in the first book on the Dumbledore chocolate frog card. Granted, you don't hear much about it after that, but it is there. Second, I have to agree, the epilogue was really anticlimactic. I would have been happy if it ended before that. Finally, there's a book by John Granger, The Deathly Hallows Lectures: The Hogwarts Professor Explains the Final Harry Potter Adventure, which really sheds a light on not only the last book, but the series as a whole.

I agree with you there, Dark. Even Harry and hermione would have been a more well-matched couple, indeed, I've come across some rather amusing fanfics where hermione gets fed up with Mrs. Weasley's nosy ways and Ron's immaturity, with some pretty awesome results. But, even if we're only discussing what happened in the actual books, I would say that neither couple was particularly compatible, although Ron and hermione make more sense as they always had a bit of sexual tension going on from day one.As for your Harry and Luna theory, that would have been a pretty interesting turn of events for sure. I think Luna did get short-changed as a character, because she was just supposed to be seen as a bit crazy, but she was pretty laid-back and cool over all. In fact, I often wondered how much of the stuff she spouted were her actual beliefs, or whether she was just an introvert who preferred to keep to herself, and simply chose an unorthodox way to accomplish tha

a naval ship command audiogame would rock. I've seen a couple of browser games, but it's true they're so symplistic as to not matter, all accept for sea oddyssey which is a mod of space oddessy, and while that is a complex game the transition to sea is a little off in places (eg constantly adding segments to your ship). I'm actually surprised there aren't any muds, since I've seen ship management in a couple of muds like materiamagica, but I've not seen a completely nortical mud, and something as complex as clok or lament with full blown naval mechanics would be awesome, though unfortunately probably not possible to solo command a ship which would be annoying, since I'd want to be captain with a crew. There are however several nortical themed gamebooks. Choice of broadsides as aaron said, I also recently saw a title, choice of the pirate. Delight games have pirates choice, and the ffproject have several sea and pirate them
 ed games which include hiering a crew etc, such as the short and rather fun sharkbate's revenge and the highly complex and huge tales from the bird islands which is actually several gamebooks put together into one massive collection. If work ever gets finished on Eamon deluxe, there is also one of the old eamon games where you need to hier a crew, and sale a ship which has truly detailed ship mechanics including sailers with different stats, trading, different types of ship etc.Sadly that one is still to be converted to edx.

@turtlepower I agree on psychological scars and that popular series can have grim endings. While I thought the second and thid books went a bit off the rails, Hungar games did both rather well. On the other hand I will say harry's none death was something I saw when he got shot. The idea that Voldemort would attempt to kill harry and kil the peace of his soul inside harry is actually one my brother and I had predicted ever since hearing "neither can live while the other survives" prophecy. To me it was almost fitting that voldemort ended on an anticlimax where he scuppered himself, because in the end voldemort wasn't the great and terrible immortal he thought he was, look at the way he got pissed when Dumbledoor constantly referd to him as "tom" It's rather the way that in steven King's dark tower the crimson king turns out to be a bumhug, ie, something far less terrible than his own misteaque predicted.As to the happy fam
 ilies ending, in fairness I think part of that comes from rowling herself. She began the books while devorced, alone and looking after a one year old child. She ended with a husband and three children. In one interview she said her idea of happiness was! the happy family, and we see this in Harry potter, taking the abusedd child with no parents, giving him a surrigate family in the wieslies and a home in Hogwarts, not to mention various parental figures (hagrid, Sirius Black, and Ron and Hermione), and he ends with a family of his own. It's where rowling was. Originally i did feel it was a bit too saccharine and over emphasized, however to be honest I'll say my perspective on that idea has changed somewhat, having had direct personal experience of the power of love and what can indeed be overcome with the right person, and my own miracle romance. the one thing that did! annoy me in Harry Potter was that Harry ended up with jinny, the girl who had an ele
 ven year old crush on him and basically just seemed a flawless friend with little to nothing by way of problems who just admired harry, indeed she was kind of a mix between Ron, fred and george and Hermione and a little too perfect for my liking, not the least being harry's best mate's sister. I myself am still convinced Harry should've endedup with Luna lovegood, a fellow misfit with a remarkable emotional intelligence and a calm way of dealing with everything. Indeed if I had a crush on any of the girls in the potter books it's Luna, precisely because! she's somewhat flawed and illfitting just like Harry, not a completely perfect ideal witch next door like Jinny.

Well, when I tested, it worked on while loops.The thing is, if you put the try / except block in a wrong place of your program, especially if it's multithreaded, it can break the program's control flow quite easily.I think, in these cases, that you could wrap the functions that have the most probability of generating errors in the try / except blocks and move then inside of the while loop. In this way, the while loop can keep running if the wrapped code raises an error.

At TJT, yeah, you're probably right. The kind of fans I described in my last post certainly would not have been pleased. I wouldn't have been pleased if Harry died, either, but it would have at least been realistic.I don't know how many of you guys have read the Animorphs series, and I don't mean to hijack this thread with Animorphs discussion, although it is my favorite series of all time, but the reason I'm bringing it up in this context is because, like the ending in Harry Potter, the ending in Animorphs was a hopeless, bleak situation littered with death and despair. Sure, it was an ending to a long and exhausting war, but it was anything but happy for those involved. And while I've definitely got quite a few bones to pick with the ending of that series as well, one thing that K.A. Applegate got right was the psychological effect that extended, often thankless battles can have on a person. Because both series were quite popular, and both fe
 atured teen protagonists, I feel that a comparison isn't completely out of left field here. Anyway, romances were obliterated, one of the main characters was killed, and everyone was affected, some more negatively than others, by the events that had unfolded during the course of their adolescent years. Now, sure, some fans probably only cared about the fluff to begin with. But me, I only cared about what happened at the very end, not because it had anything to do with character development or lack thereof, but because it was a really stupid plot device that shouldn't have existed.So, as you can see, a popular series can clearly have realistic events happen to characters, while at the same time still maintain a following. Sure, with Animorphs it's sort of a cult following, but still.

With the guess the numbers game, I tend to start in the middle and then change and narrow things down. For example , then if it says higher I do 7575, then if it says lower 6200, then if it says higher 6700 etc, it's just a matter of thinking logically and narrowing things down.

Is their a way to handle a traceback in a multi threaded python app

When an app crashed in pb, to get an error I could just code what pb called an on error callback. Normally for a server program for instants, this would send to all users that an error sprung up, disconnect them, log the error and close. Is their a way to do something simmiler in python or if not, is their at least a way you can log a traceback that happens, even if your app uses multiple threads?

Share interests, chat about stuff, and if something is going to happen it will happen, but if you go in with the attitude "I want to meet a girl for dating" odds are you'll come across as a creep. Actually, I don't know any couple (myself included), who met up through the hole formal "dating" process, most people I know (including me), were very much friends first who just found they wanted to be more than friends.

There's an epic event in England called Feel The Force Day, and it's like comic con but if you are blind you are aloud to touch most things and as a result, the cosplayers really go for it, some of them getting into character. There was a predator from the film who was just growling, the characters based on Disney were talking with the accents, a C3PO sounded like C3PO and had an r2d2 next to him, chewbacca was making sounds too. There are minions from Despicable me, well to be honest, there's everything. People also bring lightsabers and stuff that all make sounds. There was also a thing where you could talk like a dalek from Doctor Who using a voice modulator. Hi. The first audio game i played was grizly gulch back in 2000. Before then, i had quite a bit of experience with mainstream games like pokemon, street fighter, and mortal combat. I will say, if you have a lot of perserverience with mainstream games, and you try to beat them at all costs like i did, you are pretty good at audio gaming. As an example, i always found audio fps titles to be the most fun, as they challenged my ears, and reflexes. If i think of more, i'll be back.

I have an HP Officejet Pro 8000 that I bought back before I lost my vision.Back then it was easy to check the amount of ink I had left in the cartridges. But now that I'm blind, the all graphic ink level indicators don't work so well, and after doing some searching, there doesn't appear to be any accessible ways to do it.So, I'm wondering, how you people deal with determining how much ink is left in the cartridges.

Hmm. alt+up/down arrow doesn't seem to do what it's supposed to. I don't know if this is due to using JAWS, but when I press it outside of the inventory, I take several steps in that direction. If I press it in the inventory, it scrolls the inventory rapidly instead of reordering things. Doing this also scrolls the menu when not logged in.

Just so you know, I am using DECtalk 4.51, which has a speak windows available on Jake's site under the DECtalk Software and Manuals section, called dectalk speak windows.7z, and in there DT 4.51 is one of them. Will have to test the vocals out on several of my English Vocaloids that I bought to see which one will work out. I don't have that many male English Vocaloids that I bought since I mainly bought female Vocaloids, so will have to tune the vocals accordingly, since there weren't that many male vocals produced anyway.

[[wow]], interesting story there, Dark. Looking back I now remember how I discovered Top Speed 3. I was in a Skype call when someone recommended it to me when I was asking about games I could play. Top Speed then lead to RTR, which I played for a considerably long time. For a while, it was the only game I ever played. Then, the rest is lost in hazy memories.

Update: The Days of the Week instrumental is done! Still using 2-channel N163, all I have to do is add the vocals, starting with the speaking parts since I find those easier to do, singing parts are a completely different story, and what I'm doing is creating a vocal file for each verse, exporting to WAV, and for each verse, all I simply have to do is change the key and the tempo and that shouldn't be that hard.

Hi.The real issue is to make VOiceover to respond as most people would like it to do. In most programs, Voiceover gets interrupted while reading when new text is popping up on the screen. I'm not sure if there is any way to let VOiceover read all the text fluently, without getting interrupted. Of course the system voice could be used for that, but then you need to have a way to quickly stop the speech, and start reading using VOiceover when needed.

Fine, here's your changelog:New in 0.92.0Added an official rules and polocies document! Yes, finily, it's here, you can now reorder your inventory with alt + Up or down arrow! Did something to sounds that's needed to happen for well, quite some time now. Sounds now update when players walk. This has needed to happen for so long now. If you used voice chat and walked around, the position of your voice wouldn't change. Well, now it does! Fixed a bug with voice chat that allowed anyone to play any sound they wanted to reguardless of the length. Added cassette players! Cassettes can ocasionally be found at the gass station or the general store. However, plan to add a music store to the fishing village. Note, when you use a cassette, the game may lock up for a couple of seconds while the file is downloading. Cassettes are stored serverside so I can add more with out needing to update the client. You are now able to write on 
 paper with a pen! First interact your pen with a piece of paper. A new note will be created, and it will ask you for a subject. Enter something like, directions to gassstation or whatever. Once you have completed your note subject, the new item in your inventory will be something like SamTupy_note_directions_to_gass_station, replace SamTupy with your characters name. Then, get out your pen, and combine with that note. It will ask for a letter. Type in a letter, or a space or punctuation etc and you will hear the note being written to. Keep doing this until you have completed your note. Added an entire quest system! For now, quests are usually as simple as finding all the items needed in one place, to solve mystories etc. They arn't required. If you complete a quest, you will get stw_points, something you can not give or drop. There will soon be other ways as well to get stw points. You can build these up, and get items. Maybe teleporters or death free cards, but probably 
 mostly things that arn't in the store. Now, making string only takes 10 grass, not 25. Now in some stores, it's possible to dig in trashcans! Just find one and press space on it. It's teedius and slow and you usually get paper or something, but on ocasion, you could find something useful! You'll need a shovel, but in the mining area, they are in abundence and in the future may have many uses. Just use the shovel on a trashcan, accessible with the m menu. Fixed like 99 percent of our annoying little look bug! There are now vending machines! Right now there is one outside the gas station that cells pop and protein bars, but there will probably soon be many more! Now speedhack protection is much much better do to a mini breakthrew I made, so to the admins? If there's a speedhack warning, it's 80 percent likely it's real instead of 25, and better yet? It detects in less than a second! Ghost fires have now been oblite

 t drunk if you can find a beer_bottle! Also there is the ability to smoke. If you smoke to much though you will become adicted and bad things will happen. Smoking a cigarrette temperarily gives you energy and stuff, but temperarily. You shouldn't really smoke much. Also, if you find an open beer bottle, press alt space to throw it! It doesn't take off an amazing amout of health, but causes a temperary stunNow, the survival_packs come with a pack of battories, which contains 15 battories. Moved the stun code from redspot into stw, so things like beer bottles can actually stun you. Have fun swinging around a wet towel like an idiot and trying to wak people! Ahoy there.This is quite a strange issue I have never encountered before.When I bought my mac, and updated it, the apps were taking about 20gb of space or so. I installed vlc,bit torrent and nothing else.I also downloaded a isoYesterday, I saw my space at 27gb as taking up by the applications.Today, the same application space shows as 30gb and the only thing I have done on this mac since yesterday is written 3 pages documents, and browse safari.My iPhone has 16gb storage, and all in all I had about 1.5gb free on it, after all the music and such were accounted for since a few days/week.Today, I see that everything else is the same, music,others apps,pictures etc, but yet! My iPhone only has 300mb of free space left and I'm getting storage almost full, manage storage bra bla.I deleted a few applications,and content like podcasts and such.space was about 800mb remaining after that, Low and behold I check in the settings/gener
 al/usage/storage again and what do I find that 800mb has come down to 100mb After that, I deleted each and every app, signed out of iCloud,and still with my music taking up 2.2gb it was still full at 9.5gb and the rest free.I check after a while again,and I see used space 11.5gb and free space 0kb.This has never ever happened with me in the last 3 years I have been using a iphone5, and now the 6plus. I plan on restoring my iPhone to factory settings and see if that helps any, however the increasing size of this mac's taken up space makes me quite uneasy after what has happened with my iPhone.any ideas? any of you experienced such a thing before?Having a wonderful day,so I am.

I really wish there was an app that had a free trial, similar to Band in a Box. I'm not sure if, on the Mac, you really can create good music using the onscreen keyboard. I really want Band in a Box's feature where you can import audio and it creates a similar track, useful for covering songs and you want your own music for it.

Well my story is a little different. Having some usable vision, I always played graphical games. This started when I was three or four years old with our atari 2600 in the mid to late eighties with games like berserk, joust and space invaders, though I think berserk and joust were my favourite, I used to make up stories to myself while I played, imagining I was on an alien planet or something. We then got an amstrad tape drive computer in  about 1987, which had several games I could play, I particularly enjoyed international karate plus and double dragon, though i think my favourite game on that system was a platformer called rowland on the ropes, which was a randomly generating side scroller where you had to go through a maze to reach the top collecting artifacts and avoiding monsters like mummies, bats and ghosts. Actually now I think about it it was pretty much like some of the stages of crazy party since you could only walk left to right or climb up and down 
 ropes when you found them,  hay that's cool! Despite losing a lot of my vision in 1989, we then got an Amigar computer which I think was the system that really changed me on gaming. I still remember starting Turrican 2 for the first time, I'd never seen anything so colourful or seen stages so huge, and the music was an experience, indeed I think a lot of my love of music can be traced back to that moment (if people haven't heard the Turrican soundtracks your definitely missing something). We got a snes in 1992, and I found a lot of games I could play. While I was sorry that my lack of ability to read print meant I couldn't play a large number of more complex games like Zelda or Sim city, I absolutely loved!  exploration style side scrollers like super metroid (I also bought the super gameboy converter so I could play Metroid ii), Donkey kong country and later, mega man x and first samurai, though i only got those later on. I think the Snes 
 taught me a lot about perciverence and using my vision, I  originally thought for example that it wasn't possible for me to play the marrio games since mario was too small,  though  I learnt better, and am glad I did since I  grew to really enjoy those. The first game we got was of course sTreet fighter 2 champion edition, and I think my brother and I spent about 8 solid hours that christmas playing the thing, and of course we got Mortal Kombat 2 and games like final fight soon. I actually still own my snes, and a mega drive I picked up later and still play them. The problem? 3D! When the playstation came along,games suddenly became spacially far too complex for my vision to cope with even when the games had good contrast, indeed I remember my attempt to play marrio 64 as a truly sad experience, I'd really looked forward to the new console and new games, watched shows like games master, and then found the thing unplayable. Yes,
  I still played soul blade and tekken and other beatemups (though I never liked Tekken much), however where as in the 16 bit era the number of games I could play was probably around %50, it'd suddenly shrunk to pretty much just beatemups and the odd puzzle game like puzzle fighter. There was a brief revival for me in the early 2000's thanks to the gamecube and gameboy player, since Gameboy advanced games were still 16 bit style, and I had a lot of fun  with metroid fusion and the mega man series (which I've been a fan of for years), but that tailed off too. I think had I not been born when I had been, I really wouldn't have got into gaming before, and I confess I still! miss graphical 16 bit era games, and still play some of the new Turrican levels that are occasionally produced for pc.Fortunately for my gaming, just as mainstream games had abandoned me, in 2003 something else did happen.   from the Rnib listed the whitestick.co.uk site and mentioned games playable online, so I checked them out. I spent a long time playing browser games like Ashes of angels and Legend of the green dragon (probably my favourite), and soon enough Sryth. I did have a brief fling with interactive fiction, and enjoyed several games such as dreamhold and worlds apart, though got a little tired of the guess the verb thing. I also in 2005 did attempt to try muds, but when I enquired and was told "here are the jaws scripts" I was rather discouraged, (it wasn't until Vipmud a good few years later that I got into muds at all). My first actually legitimate audio game was Shades of doom from Gma games in 2006. I'd seen the "games to play offline" page on whitestick.co.uk but I assumed (wrongly as it turned out), that these games must be made for "blind" people and were probably way too symplistic compared to what I was used to, indeed I think ha

The video is definitely inspiring. I'm already going through college however. I wonder if I can get my associates in Libberal Arts and then take an online class here, such as a programming course--I did try to take an online VB6 course in High School, but the teacher was extremely unaccomidating.Plus, I'd be fooling myself to take a VB6 class--the only one I know of that uses it is Aprone and others previously only in our community.

Yes, I've heard about that scandal, although I believe TeamViewer's developers still seem to stand by the security of their product. @livrobo, yes, the fact that NVDA remote is open source means that anyone could figure out how to decrypt the SSL certificates if they have the Python knowledge to do so. While open source has positive after positive, unfortunately this is one of the negatives.

Thanks very much for it, even if we had to wait a while.There seems to be a bug with the sharks. in the deepocean1, on 0 50 0, there are allways loads of sharks, there were more than 30 sharks there on one time. even with admingun I can't kill them all, they keep coming back.I know that free accounts should have limitations but ... not on stw points. I think that should be unlimited, because now it simply isn't fair that we get 100 points when we should get more than 700.

Well as regards making soundpacks work, I've generally seen soundpacks come in two flavours. There are those  like the MushZ client for Alter which tend to be based on a specific client, have massive amounts of scripting and won't work outside it (despite the fact I prefer Vipmud, I do use MushZ for alter for this reason). Then however, most soundpacks I've seen just use streight off msp, mud sound protocol,  especially the official ones created by mud administrators themselves such as the materiamagica or six dragons ones (the six dragons one is actually pretty awesome). I see no reason why those! wouldn't work on any client that supports msp.

Perhaps you should open the level creation up to the public. I'm sure levels will be in the thousands or at least hundreds in maybe a month, if it's easy enough. Then it's a matter of picking and choosing levels you want for the official game, with occational expantion packs.

Yeah, the problem happens to be that at present, there is no clear instruction on making that particular client work as it pertains to the newest version of MacOS.  One must install dependancies and other such wonderful things; it's not an app you can grab from the appstore.
