I confess I've never really got on with Fallen London owing to the complex layouts, but this sounds really unique and just my cup of tea. Actually it is very similar to an idea for a game I had years ago about going planet to planet, so I'll certainly pick this one up and give it a try when I can.

But keep in mind that libaudioverse does have some audio problems, as i noticed on games that used it like the shooter engine and the new death match. I don't know if the developer fixed it successfully, but if not you could use PyAL.

You might consider writing a copyright notice or terms of use stating that and put it at the beginning of your guide. Of course not everyone's going to obey it and some damage has already been done, but it might help. It may also be a good idea to put it in the articles room instead of distributing it as a raw text file, then only you can make changes to it and it's in a permanent location if something ever happens to your dropbox.

Yeah it was me. So what? Listen to me, if it wasn't stealing source code, how would I was able to pass through them and? Huh? I guess I'm a pure genius since I can somehow guess that banning system? I guess people also use my own ways of generate computer ID's? I would assume that also say I know so much that I even figured out how to send just the correct packets and the correct parameters to the login/creation system. So tell me how I did that. Please?

This is gonna sound harsh but this is just my personal opinion for what I have seen the last few months. Once you guys are set on something, you're set on it. Yeah, this game might have cool functions, and god knows what else he added. But you do understand that people can't just use our source code and call it their own. Why are the mods not even replying to this? You know, if it was me, they would press that ban button in a hurry. Yeah, maybe I didn't add as many new things on to my old game which the source code is being used from btw, so its quite ironic that you banned the game, but you sureuly don't ban people using its source code. So I guess I can, if I still had Redspot's source code, I could just grab Sam's map engine and call it my own and said I used no code and use it from scratch? I could also just get snipers of the code and call them my own? Ok, well, to bad I don't have it anymore, would have saved me ours of staying up and follo

Or rather, it's like 98% my guide, but I have no control over the 2% you changed. And if that 2% is inaccurate, offensive or otherwise not in line with what I'm trying to do, then it can still get back to me.Basically, I made the thing with the understanding that everyone else could suggest changes/correct my errors - and I knew there would be a few - but no one was going to actually edit the thing itself. Unfortunately you'll just have to get used to all that stuff. My best guess is that the places have generic labels because these are new maps that were not in the original game, so the script doesn't have custom labels for them. Thankfully, a rename function exists. The footstep sounds you'll just have to live without, I'm afraid. As for the music getting stuck, that has been known to happen in the vanilla game as well, so nothing new there.Also, a little tip for you. If you haven't already, go to options and set the text speed to instant. You'll love it.

It has now been four months since I last communicated with Lukas, and nearly two since I last sent him an email because I didn't want to bother him any more. I'm still worried, though. Please, if anyone can reach him, could they tell him I'm thinking of him and worried about him? I'd like to hear from him personally that he's okay and what's been going on, but if I get a message back privately from someone else, that's fine as well. It might be too sensitive for a public thread, so I'd rather it was pmed to me. Again, I don't want to give the wrong impression. I'm just a worried friend who has tried emails with no result and has no other way to reach the person they're concerned about.

Also for those of you who love linux command line you could use Ecasound or if you have a sdr dongle you could do shortwave radio listening through the command line. You could even make videos using pictures and audio files with ffmpeg as well. Love this idea man and love this project.

so I've been playing for a bit, and love this.  I have a couple strange observations though.Firstly, places like poke centre and buildings seem to have generic names like warp 1 or 2.  Second, I've realised how dependent on the terrain sounds I was, so that threw me off a bit.  also, for some reason sometiimes when path finding, the music gets stuck.  are there ways around these, or are they just things you have to get used to and trial out?

Windows hates the ext system unless you have extra software, and yes I am recommend the *purchase* of another piece of software but it's definitely worth it. Paragon ExtFS is a low-level system driver that will embed extended filesystem support into your pc or mac, for around $20.

AproneI like this little game but it's a bit too slow at the beginning.How about doing a game with the reverse? You start fast and have to slow down to the end.If your hit of the key is shorter than the last, you get the bad sound, if it is longer you get the good sound.Phil

Guys, the continuous speculation does not help anything.  If people want to assume that each time the server goes down it is the result of a hacker attack, then I suppose that's fine.  What is not fine however is to throw out someone's name and suggest that they are doing something wrong.  Accusations like those are pretty serious, and should not be made unless you then back it up with some hard evidence.

I wasn't sure if I should join on this game, you know being the developer and all, but I've started messing around with a bot of my own.  The fact that I wrote the game probably doesn't give me much of an advantage, since we're all working with the same data from the scanner.txt file.  I also thought it would be fun to get the ball rolling, sharing my current ideas for a successful bot.My first attempt was just for something very basic, where all it does it check to see if the tile in front of it is a wall.  Either "A" or "D" are pushed just to steer the car around the obstacle.  That continued to fail until I realized the car starts out headed straight toward a bit of an upside down V-shape.  By the time my car was about to hit the first wall, it already had a wall on either side.I started to plan out using "Z" or "C" to get around that situation, but realized none of that would mat
 ter unless I look at least 1 extra tile forward.  Still wanting to stick to a simple design, I kept everything the same and just coded the bot to spend the first 2 turns heading to the left.  This avoided the trap I kept getting stuck in, and allowed the bot to travel for quite a while surviving only on those simple steering rules.My score was really good but it was immediately obvious that I could squeeze a lot more points out of it.  I never had the car speed up or tap the break, so each turn was awarding me 10 points.  I only look 1 tile ahead anyway (right now) so there is no reason to hang back so far.  The next run added in a rule to jump ahead with "W" a few times along the way, and my score soared up to 554.  I'm 100% positive I could adjust the code and have the car speed up earlier in the trip.  The earlier I speed up, the more points I'll end up getting.  I mean it wouldn't be hundreds of extra points
  or anything, but it may be dozens.So that's where I got before stopping.  There are so many different approaches to this game it boggles the mind.  Imagine a car that looks ahead 2, 3, 4 tiles ahead and knows to avoid traps.  A car could know when to race forward, and when to back off a bit to see further ahead.  As more people jump into this game and work on bots, I think that high score list is going to explode into a race.I do hope we get several people who enjoy this game enough to compete.

For the general user, you could use a removable sd card or nandflash, though if you use a flash it should definitely be compatible with either a windows machine, linux box, or windows/mac machine with ext4 drivers. I say this because I know the Braillenote Apex uses a Flash and I was told it wouldn't work in a computer if someone popped the flash, though of course I highly doubt the accuracy of that fact as how else would Keysoft have been programmed? Anyway, removable sd card would be the most versatile  solution, as long as it's a class 10 sdxc for best performance.

So, finily feel that I have had a long enough break and enough amuzement and a new medication to read and post here again. For all of you who are saying, Sam should just fix the AFK bugs. Let me tell you something. If you have friends, Your not allowed to team with them and allow them to be admin at the same time. Doing so makes a large group of people say that all banns are automatically unfair. You h
 ave never scene what any of the players have done to get banned, and it's not like there gonna admit to doing it, so how you expect anything to work out in that case, I have no idea. basically, it means you don't trust me. Considering that the banned people are rarely going to admit what they did, you can just go believe them, and delete redspot from your computer in the process. I can't control who trusts me. I have already told admins a while ago after my last post to slacken the ropes a little. I have a fix coming for the offline online thing. Now for the next biggest question that keeps coming up. Why do I make it kill you when you go AFK and your grabbing, falling, etc etc? The answer to that is simple. The point of AFK is very clear. You can go AFK when you gotta go away from your computer for a bit. It stands for Away, From, Keyboard. Every translator in the world, even software ones, could probably translate that into any language needed. I don't know how
  to make it more clear than that. It is not an in game shield item and thus should not be used as that. So you see? It is already fixed. You already can't go AFK when you do any of those things. Why should I just make it say no you can't do that. I did that on purpose. Who knows, maybe my way of thinking is messed up, but here's my thoughts. It is 111 percent clear that AFK is not meant to be used in game. You are supposed to use it when you move away from the game for a little bit. Not as a protection item in the game. Anyone who tries to use it as that is trying to get an advantage with an out of game feature. Chances are you'll have no reason to go AFK when tased or when your falling or what ever. At least it's a 95 percent chance that the person trying to use AFK during any time when they are stunned or about to get hurt, there intention is to get an advantage and survive in a way that is using a feature in a way it was not meant to be used. They basical
 ly have the intent to perform cheating in a small way. Not nearly as bad as modding a games variables, but it's the same thing. Try grasping my logic here. In a lot of mainstream games, your caught cheating or trying to cheat, and you get banned temporarily. In this situation, you perform a much smaller dose of cheating, so you only get killed and your off the game for only 2 seconds. So when you die, It's not a bug. It was intentionally coded that way for a reason. Well, I'll talk later, gonna go enjoy my weekend for a little bit after spending most of this week either sick, or trying to catch up on school.

I am still curious which changes you made, as I'm kind of uncomfortable with that. My guide is not 100% complete, but it's fairly close. I don't like the thought of, say, someone having access to the guide, changing a few things, making it less accurate/changing my supposed opinions/altering the way it comes across in tone/what have you. I used to watch DVDs on the computer with Windows Media Player in Windows 7.I tried to do the same with Windows 10 a few days ago and it brought up Windows DVD Player instead. I couldn't get it to play as I couldn't access the controls. Is there a way to use it or is there a better programme for watching DVDs with Windows?

VoiceOver Scripts on MacOS Sierra issue

Hi all,I had to reinstall MacOS Sierra.  Now that I did that, VoiceOver refuses to run the Apple scripts I got off of Brian Smart's website that allows VoiceOver to announce time and date as well the battery status.  I also found syntax on Apple Vis which also isn't working.  I know I have keyboard commander turned on and I am assigning the letter of my choosing to the script.  What could be wrong?Thanks,Luke

I like the premise of the Switch honestly, I like the idea of taking a console on the go. If I could somehow get a PS3/4 or X360/XB1 built into a case where I could open it and play after plugging in the system I'd rather do that honestly.I've seen teardowns of the Switch that state it is indeed horrbly underpowered for what it is, but then again I've also heard reports that it struggles to run certain games at 30 fps (though again, translation may not be accurate and I'm having a hard time believing that). I was interested by the idea and the premise on the reveal trailer, sure, I'll admit, I was intrigued BUTnow the thing's out and after looking at Digital Foundry's teardown of the thing, I'm not impressed at all...

Hi.in adition the console is lagging features which make seem this price not worth it. Firstly, this thing has almost no internal memory to save something on. While ps4 and xbox have around 500 GB max, the switch does have, what, 16 GB or so?I also like the idea of a convertible console so to speak, but the starting lineup doesnt look so promising for blind players, maybe that street fighter game, but it will come out in late 2017. At the moment, this console has no worth for me and if there are not any new accessible games coming out, I dont see why I should get this.The last console from nintendo I got was the Wii, and I have quite a bunch of games for it which are accessible and a heap of fun.Greetings Moritz.

honestly? I think nintendo's screwed up again. They launched the thing at way too high a price, 280 pounds without a game isn't going to cut it in todays market where you can have a ps4, three months of plus and Horizon Zero Dawn for 50 pounds cheaper. That's strike 1. Strike two, When the payed online services does launch the monthly games you get with it are 1: going to be emulated snes/nes games, most likely downloaded from your site you get roms from and 2: you only get them for a month. Contrast that with games with gold where I've managed to get a large chunk of KI for free and it's mine until I let my subscription laps. Strike 3, they are charging full price for what should have been the pack in game, one two switch. If nintendo had packed this game in with the switch and given us a sub 200 pound pricetag I'd have been impressed. that's nintendo struck out but it keeps going... Strike 4, the dPad on the bundled controler is terrible so if 
 you wanted the thing for fighters, forget it. You can of corse, have a better dPad for... you guessed it, More cash! An extra 65 pounds to be exact. That's us up to 345 pounds, UK pricing and we still haven't managed to get a game. We have also entered the ballpark of the launch price for the ps4 and you were getting a game with that. Strike 5: In console mode, it's still not that powerfull and developers won't like that. They won't like having to cut the game down to run on the switch they didn't like doing it on the WiiU, they won't like doing it here. I feel like it's going to be the WiiU all over again. Third party developers will be on board first, they'll release half arsed ports of multiplatform games, then just give up on it all together. The switch will get more zelda, more mario cart, more smash etc and the fans of the brand will buy into that while the rest of us think that we'd like to play, but will not pay the price. I 
 do want this post to be proved wrong though

Wanting to write a adon to make a program more usible by NVDA?

So I am wondering how I can get started doing this project. I want to make a program called SDR Sharp more accessible by NVDA I'm wondering how most of you wrote the adons to make programs more accessible. Any advice would be gradely welcomed.

Diablo. I mean it's already beatable withouth the spoken menue, but it'd be really nice to be able to optamise and craft gear without gamestreaming the game over to windows and using OCR to read things
