Hi.Yes, the game stops responding very often on my machine. Not only when using the manual navigation, but it happens quite randomly. The game seems to take a lot of resources on my machine. I'm running it on a virtual machine on a Macbook Air, so it's not very powerful.

Just fiddled around with it, and functionality wise it's pretty powerful yet easy to use. One problem, though. Wondering if the trial version was actually supposed to do this to prevent people from distributing executables. Set a certificate to expire after 15 days, as well as timed run and nuke after x minutes. It displays the evaluation message for Armadillo itself when running the program, then display the evaluation message, then exits. I know this because I set a custom closing message to appear after exit of the program. Even when I enter the registration key that I generated, the program then exits after showing the Armadillo evaluation screen. Was the evaluation version supposed to stop people from actually running the program, or would a full version produce any different results? Didn't see anything in the manual about that, and at first I thought it may be an issue with running both a days and minutes certificate, but the same sudden exit happens when the regi

Well [OpenSCAD] which has a braille plugin and [TinkerCAD] for online editing were recommended in an article for accessible 3D printing, though [this] same article also went on to say that there is no CAD software accessible to the blind.

Tried removing the time limitation from the certificate. Same results. Program self exits after the programmed trial nag screen, safe for an after-exit evaluation dialogue. Entered the registration code, same results. Armadillo must be acting up.

I suppose I've been so isolated from this sort of thing that I never thought to look up CAD instead of "design" or "modeling". Looking for "open source CAD" enough results that I have to imagine that at least one of them can be rendered reasonably accessible. I don't know how any of these open source programs would fair if intended to output in an accessible manner, but I could see some of them being somewhat adaptable for designing. Open Stack has a scripting-based input method, and Free CAD has an Open Stack module. I'm interested in BRL CAD simply due to nomitive determinism.

They're the triangular numbers.The first triangular number is 1. The second is 1+2, so 3. The third is 3+3, 6. 6+4 = 10. 10+5 = 15. Etc.You can also work them out with the formula f(n) = n(n+1)/2 where n is the nth term in the sequence.Therefore 15 is the fifth triangular number, 55 is the 10th, etc. I agree its an unfair puzzle.

Greetings all. I've just finished putting in doors for the ship designer, though they may need a bit of work to get working fully. In addition i've started on implementing tracking of objects. Which brings me to another area of worry, i've noticed that when attempting to manually fly when pressing a number, sometimes the game can get overloaded and just flat out stop responding. Has anyone else encountered this bug?

For anyone that wants to play around with it, here are both the 32 and 64 bit versions of the classic Armadillo version 8.60. This is the last version before the classic user interface was disabled in favor of the new Software Passport user interface written in C/C++.Note that these are what we called public builds, which means some advanced features, like nanomites, are missing. Those were only compiled into private builds which were only given to customers that paid for a license as opposed to using a trial or getting one of the free versions DR was giving out.Also, no registration keys, as I said in a previous message, for just playing around to learn more about it, you don't need a registered version.Which version? Anyone know what the pattern is behind the number puzzle on stage 23? 15 55 120 210. I knew the answer because I read it on here by accident a week or so ago and it stuck in my head. I would never have solved it directly though. Even with the answer I can't find an elegant pattern. The only thing I can see they have in common is multiples of 5: 3, 11, 24, 42. And I can spot kind of a pattern in the way they grow, but it's not neat. It goes 8, 13, 18, which are all plus 5. As in 3+8=11, 11+13=24, 24+18=42.It has to be neater than that. I mean, after all those easy number puzzles, why suddenly one that ordinary non-math people would have a hard time solving? It seems a bit harsh for a game. If I'd been playing this game in isolation, and there weren't a forum like this where you could find the answer, I probably would have got past that stage, but only by trying every multiple of 5 from about 180 up.

hello.lol a bit  curious, does anyone still playing this one?, the mud is kindda quiet now, but still updated evry week or so, and the players and the dev are friendly (at least for me) , they even helping me for finding a big   spot for my empire.finding a empty spot is a bit easyer now, cause as I said its kindda quiet. just make sure you build your stuff outside of the newbie island though. you probably have to clean some ruins of an abandon citys.this mud isn't my favorite but, hey,  its kindda fun and cool

Depends what screen reader you're using. If you're using NVDA, adobe digital editions is accessible, but bear in mind it has its own reading commands. If you're using Jaws, you'll need to use version 14. For some reason newer versions repeat the last line twice so you miss the first line of the next page. I've told FS about this problem til I'm blue in the face but they won't fix it. As a result of FS's indifference, The reader I've started using now is QRead, but to read copy protected epubs, you'll need  DRM removal. Think you can do it free online, but I bought a bit of software that works and is accessible. Think it's called epubsoft.

Hay wastelander, I just downloaded the new update, and, while the mono h-bit wavs take me bacl to gaiming on windows 3.11, might you also provide a high-quolity pack with the better music/sounds, or can you not program warsim to use mp3s or something?As for getting started, I think their is an ingame wiki in the game itself under extras.

getting music on too your iPhone

Hey all.So I recently started experimenting around with iTunes on windows and Mac and I have a question.I have apple music and so i have access to the iCloud music library which, should index all my songs I put into iTunes and upload them to the apple servers so i can download them. Thing is that this takes often very long, sometimes it fails completely and songs are not there, sometimes I can't play the file and so on, it currently has more disadvantages to me.So, I wanted to do that localy but here I run into a problem.On windows, some years back, I just copied my music files or folders into the library list, just how I would copy a folder or file in windows explorer, I would go to the menu, choose the device option and hit sync iPhone, and it would work.The problem I am having is that it doesnt do that. I have everything set up correctly and my phone is aallowed to sync music. But when I copy the files into the library, they are there, but whe
 n I hit sync, it syncs the phone, but not the media files.So i am wondering, if you guys have music on your phones, how do you get it on to the phones? Mac or windows suggestions for programs or tips for iTunes would be nice.Thanks in advance.Greetings Moritz.

I've been able to open and read Epub files with microsoft edg. see if it works for you, it's also possible to open epub files with firefox, but you'll need addons for that. you can also use calibre  to convert your books to txt and read them in an other app. that's all I know

Its fixt, I don't know why the connection loop for the server is not restarting no matter what I do to get it going again. For those who have problems of detecting sounds, remember that in the next update doors already now stop themselves from playing if your not in the same room, also all other sounds are muffled if your not in the same room and you have the door to that room closed. I'm intending to release the new client update soon, i've just gotta do some more work on the offline storyline. First though to finish the ship builder and give priority to this connection thread crashing.

OK, since all of these games seem to be written so they don't need a screen reader to be accessible, JAWS will just take a well deserved nap!I wish I could do the same with some of the Leasey exclusive games. They are also written in BGT but require that a screen reader be active to be accessible.It would sure be nice if someone could figure out what the conflict is and come up with a permanent solution.Thanks for the answer!

Hmm. I know you can calculate graphs with TactileView, there are a variety of tutorials like [this] on youtube for it, but i'm not sure if it can handle Geomatric Graphs specifically. The best case scenario would probably be processing the Geometric Graph and outputting it through their TactiPad so you can feel it physically on the sheet, or printing it out through a braille printer, although all of that equipment is rather expensive. Another possible option would be to 3D print it as a tactile surface, though there is currently no accessible 3D CAD/design tools and prints can be time intensive depending. If multi-row braille displays were available on the market it would be a different matter, but all of them are either in the prototype stage or vapourware at this point.

mingw isn't an ide, it is a compiler which implements the linux c-compiler gcc under windows. This has nothing to do with Visual Studio at all. At least Microsoft uses it's own MSVC compiler when using Visual Studio, so you don't even need MinGW there. The only reasons why you'd want to use MinGW are, because you're fancy and want to try something new, or you're using Eclipse or some third-party IDE which uses MinGW under the hood, but all in all MinGW has nothing to do with IDE accessibility in any case. MinGW just implements a command-line interface itself by the way, same as all other compilers do, so they count into the group of most accessible programs under Windows, Linux and Mac OS X ever, but as a beginner you aren't searching for a compiler with some fancy CMD arguments, you're searching a cool IDE which does as many jobs for you as possible without you worrying about the details as much as possible.

the problem is, engine sounds is so low that you don't hear it over the other sounds. i'll actually sit down and edit in my own sounds in the game instead if some things reguarding the sounds doesn't change lol

First impressions aren't everything, and I'm fully aware this is a beta, so take all of this as whatever you like, but my intent is to hopefully come across constructively critical.Before going any further though, I'd like to stress that I like what I'm seeing thus far.  I got a bit confused with the manual piloting system but once used to it found it quite intuitive and went around mining asteroids for a couple of hours.  I'm still looking forward to autopilot because I'm a lazy person who doesn't like having to think about things and what have you, and that brings me to a couple of lazy suggestions I think might be worht implamenting if only because more people will actually consider playing and find the experience a bit easier to adjust to.1.  either, A, make hitting enter start tracking an item after selecting it from the v list, B, hit enter on the item and turn toward it, c, walk to the item in question upon hitti
 ng enter, or d, make it an option that does one of the above.  If A is true, you can honestly get away without having so many beeps and blips that are meant to be used as tracking indicators and just have one for the sake of tracking the item of interest, along with a key you can hit to see where the item is in comparison to where you are that'll update as you move closer or further away from the item.  B might not be as ideal because items might be inside other rooms or behind other doors so you would still have to find the doors in question and get around other obstacles, but it would sure beat pushing/holding down the arrow keys just to try and get a somewhat accurate heading on an item.  C is the laziest of all, obviously, and would just do everything but cook your breakfast, and some people might just like it that way.2.  Ambience and other volumes: some sounds are just plain loud and interfere with screen reading.  some sounds are entirely u
 nnecessary and unessential to gameplay.  A few things to toggle here or there in that department would be entirely appreciated.3.  Consider kicking idle players after a certain amount of time?  I just logged off because trying to do anything was practically impossible; it was taking anywhere from 10 seconds upward for me just to get coords and perform other actions.  I'm not sure if that's because there were a ton of people logged on at once or what have you, but last night certainly didn't present this issue.4.  Perhaps I'm missing them in all the other background sound, but I wouldn't mind hearing sounds that indicate when the ship's movement starts and stops.5.  Keep up the good work and keep up the good work and keep up the good work.  And did I mention keeping up the good work?  No, I'm sure I didn't, so keep up the good... Oh, forget it.

to level up your sword, you must return to the temple and interact with the sword's  altar,  if you have enough exp the sword will gain a new level.or it will just tell you how mutch exp you need to level up. sometimes you can't level the sword up even though you have enough exp, that's mean you have to progress more in the story.for controler/ keyboard, I like both, if you want a  video game feels, use controler, you just have to plug it and play right away, no extra software needed

It's HTML, every web page is supposed to have a attribute that describes what the page is about.  It's the first thing that is read out by a screen reader before any of the content of the page itself. For people with vision, it is displayed across the top of the browser window. It is also shown in search engine results. So for all of those things it's supposed to give people an idea of what the page is without them having to explore the content of the page. Shadow rine queries from a new player

hi all, i have just stumbled across shadow rine and this is the kind of title, along with the upemming Heros Call of course that i've been searching for. i have some initial queries.firstly, after the ruins which is where i am now, assume plenty of other content, ppus ambiance around me, to keep me amused? also, how do i level up weapons, and is it recommended to play  with a controler? the keyboard is perfectly usable, but i assume this, bk series and even games like manamoar if it supports it? will work bettw with a gamepad? which ones do people recommend? i really am enjoying shadow rine, as combat is in realtime. thanks for any assistance.

oralux, the people who sell an Eloquence TTS for Linux responds quite quickly. The old way of selling  AT where you have to constantly contact your vendor instead of the obvious choice, the people who made the thing... is really the issue here +restrictive copyright protections. I mean if you want high support loads go ahead and implement a scheme like this. At least Freedom Scientific commit to stand for their schemes, and try to respond to people's activation requests quickly. You don't have to go through your dealer. I respect them for having that much responsibility compared to these people.

Hi,I don't think so. The only way you can go to get a working website without having any programming knowledge are homepage builders, as far as I know there aren't any apps which would do this for you, except Adobe Dreamweaver and such stuff, but man, they're not accessible at all. So, if you already know how to use HTML, CSS and PHP (CSS for a person without sight shouldn't be helpful at all), just use those skills without bothering to find any accessible builder for you.Best Regards.Hijacker

Hi,it is indeed, since it doesn't just support C# but also alot other languages like pure C or C++ which you aren't going to use very soon. But you'll have to ask another question: are there other IDEs which are more accessible than VS and contain the same features, all without paying anything for it? I believe not. There are IDEs like Eclipse, but honestly, you can dump Eclipse into the trash, at least for it's C-like implementations. The java features are okay, but the C plugins and extensions lack functionality and intend to fail alot. That's why I would just recommend installing VS 2017 community and try it out.Best Regards.Hijacker

@Ian: I actually know of one game that did this, but the name escapes me. It used NVDA and outputted the description of the company logo to the screen reader. I know the game had the name world in it, but that is it. It was quite an ok game though with the audio (textual?) described logo being a nice touch.

I don't really get what you mean by title atributes. Usually, I use heading to help me navigate through websites to find out what screen I'm on, because I expect the title to be just the game name.

It actually disappeared from the Elaborate Bytes sight. Will have to go to the wayback machine to find it. Which also means it's no longer available to purchase. It's a 21 day trial which should be enough for the task at  hand, provided they didn't program the disks to expire along with the trial, which some bootable disk copying programs like Flashboot will actually do
