Something I really don't see why its allowed is these people who go AFK for hours and hours so they don't lose their inventory. I think there should be a timer in the game like 1 or 2 hours, if you leave, boom. You're booted off the game, because we have these people like Sam's team members who do this. Well, what's the point in losing your inventory when you log off then? Another thing I will question is Sam's banning system, how does it work? I had 2 people tell me they were randomly banned from redspot with out even being online. To get unbanned, Sam makes this big deal of giving you a file to run to get a computer ID.Um, seriously? You're banned from a game but to be  unbanned you have to run a file that does god knows what?

Here are my suggestions to make the game a bit more realistic.1. Change trainee to initiate or youngling, either one works, and fight against another Jedi initiate (not a sith) with training sabers, which are regular light sabers with a magnetic field around the blade, which can still make shallow cuts and light burns; you could put an effect on the sound.2. Change apprentice to Padawan, and deflect blaster bolts back at a platoon of storm troopers or battle droids instead of dueling a Sith.3. Change Sith knight to Sith apprentice.Here is my reasoning.1. Younglings aren't ready to fight outside the Jedi temple until they are at least around 13 or 14, often later, until then, they practice the 3 types of force, and the 7 types of light saber style, as soon as they are old enough that is, around 9 or 10, and they use the training sabers, because they need to go on a quest for a crystal to make their own full power version, which is a major part of the test to become a Padawan.2. A Padawan would never be expected to face a full fledged Sith lord unless their mentor was for some reason unable to do so, or their was absolutely no other choice, they just aren't skilled enough, with the exception of only a few very famous ones, so they are much more likely to be used as a distraction, lookout, backup etc (plus you wanted to add storm troopers anyway...3. Sith have a thing called the rule of two, starting back with the very first star wars movie and continuing on, which states that their shall always be only 1 master and 1 apprentice, 1 to embody the dark side of the force, and the other to crave it; that means that Jedi have three unit types, and Sith only have two, hence the storm troopers or battle droids.I got all my info from the amusingly named wookieepedia which is the official star wars wiki.On another note, I think it would be cool if closing menus made the saber sheath sound, since opening makes the saber draw sound.

I would really like to see a variable spawn frequency added, to make the more powerful items spawn less.You could do it 1 of 2 ways:1. Add a value to the parser and just let the player change it like normal via the object info. Gives more control to the player, but could also cause imbalance.2. Make a hard coded spawn frequency value which gets less frequent the more debris pieces an object has. Adds more balance, but takes away some control.On one hand, who cares, if you don't like an item you can always change it, on the other hand, I'd guess that at least half of the people downloading additional objects won't want to mess around with values anyway.If you want to hard code it though, then you should probably also do the same for number of flips; that way people can't just make something that takes 1 flip and has 9 debris pieces.But again it's not like you can't play the game without just the basic objects so...

I explained it in another topic a while back, so i'll just summarise it here, but I'm terrified of melted rubber. One time my sister had those rubber shape things on the window in her room and one time I went in to play with them because at the time I had a tun of rubber animals like bears and crap. So i went to touch the rubber things on the window, but they were all melted, so I just touched this squished up squishy sticky mess of melted rubber. It was pretty scary for me probably because it wasn't what I expected to feel. Even now thinking about melted rubber makes me freek out a little bit, after this happened I was scared I would come into my room and find all my rubber toys melted. I also don't like touching chock boards. Not just rubbing my nails on them, but even just my palm or what ever, I don't like it. I also can't eat mushrooms because of the texture.

I think you need to install a midi driver. I'm not sure though since I only use mine with my mac, and since it came with garage band on it my midi just worked when I plugged it in as all the required drivers were all installed already, even for reaper. I had that same thing happen on my pc the one time I tried it there though.

Just got first ever Midi Controler and need help getting it going.

So I have Windows 10. And I have an Alasis VI61 Key 16 pads 48 knobs Midi Controller. I plug the USB cable into my computer and into the keyboard, and hit the power button, and it turns on because my computer sees it. But I doesn't make any sounds. I feel like I maybe thinking about using Reaper. Audacity I feel doesn't cut it. But I need help[ getting this to play notes and sounds as I press the keys. I am thinking that a Midi Controller is like a Musical Joystick.

I forgot to say that I love to run the ends of my finger nails around on silky things for the sound. I do appreciate how you guys took the silky thing. I'm not overly crazy about it in public places, although, I tell my wife when we are at walmart or any stores that might sell silky sleeping bags or jackets that i wanna go see them. Lol. I do go a bit crazy at home though. What's really awesome about my wife is that she is sighted, and she actually gets in to it by making the silky make noise, or she'll say silky, which I do say a lot just to say it. She does this to see me smile or laugh. Other people I've been with in the passed didn't like the silky thing. They would say that I'm to childish, or get mad at me. i just can't help it. People, even family members have tried making me get rid of my silky stuff. But, I just can't. TBH, I've thought and even asked my mom if I might have a bit of a mental issue because, I'm 33 and still go crazy over silky. Sorry for saying it so much. Again, I do hope you don't have a problem with it.

Many game soundtracks, especially indie ones, have synthe choirs... they can sound amazingly good if handled right. Most video game music nowadays is done with virtual instruments and midi, you just couldn't tell because of how realistic they sound. Some synthe choirs have built in articulations, so that it sounds like they're singing words... which is why a lot of the time, while it sounds really cool, they aren't singing in any particular language.

@flackers:I can relate a lot to the instrument sounds being satisfying. There are certain synth sounds that elicit really powerful sensations in me, as well as some piano/string/orchestral sounds. Some drums and cinematic percussion can bring on some pleasant tactile sensations if the characteristics of the sound are right, as well as different types of voices and singing styles. I may elaborate more in future if there's interest.@Sean-TerryNo need to feel ashamed about it. I can identify with a lot of the things you describe.Here's a weird one. I like to keep my hair short, not only because long hair just gets in the way, but because I like the texture of short hair. I used to feel my own hair a lot or seek out people whose hair I liked a lot and annoy them by feeling it. It wasn't as much of a social issue as you perhaps may think it would be. I certainly am surprised it was accepted as much as it was.Long hair on girls is also nice too, but I like it best if it's strait. I don't' care much for curly hair. When I had a GF, her and I liked each other's hair, and she, while not having texture sensitivity as much as I do, still was okay with it, and very often returned it. And to be honest I think she is more sensitive to such things than she may perhaps have admitted.

Have you heard of ASMR? It stands for autonomous sensory meridian response. Stealing a definition from Google, "Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is a term used for an experience characterized by a static-like or tingling sensation on the skin that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine. It has been compared with auditory-tactile synesthesia." In essence, certain sounds can trigger these responses. there are a ton of ASMR YouTube videos. I feel like this may have been brought up on the forum in an older thread.I twitch at pulling hair out of my hairbrush. I do it with my bare hands because it's easier and I just push through it, but i'm really not a fan of that texture. I know there was something else I had a stronger negative reaction to, but I can't remember what it is right now!

Thanks for the tip about the compadibility setting. That fixed the spinning issue I was having on my Windows 10 HP Envie machine. I miss my old Dell laptop with the older style mouse. My computer now has the single trackpad where the entire square presses down, and I've never gotten this newer style of trackpad to play nicely with Swamp between firing and walking. I much prefer using a native laptop trackpad to a USB mouse!It's fun practicing Swamp again after over a year of being away. The skills come back so quickly.

Hi all, I, myself really like silky things. Nylon thing in particular are my favorite. To give you a bit of a back story on this. i was 6 or 7 when I had surgery on my left leg to hopefully fix part of my cerebral Palsy. After the surgery, I was given a Nylon dinosaur.  These are made by Fisher Price. It also made noise, If you squeeze it, it would push air out of it, then, when you let it go, it would somewhat roar.  When I got it, I immediately fell in love with the way it felt. So, from then on. I got things like jackets sleeping bags and even pants that felt like that. To this day, I still really enjoy it. I even now have 3 of the dinosaurs. The Stegosaurus, the TRex, and the Trisaratops. I still have a sleeping bag with the silky feeling on both inside and outside. I even have a puffy silky jacket. Even though it is Nylon, I still call it silky. I have done since I got the first dinosaur. I like it so much, that I like to play with it, and rub it on my face. I know that's quite a bit out there, but, please don't think me odd or weird or something. I just thought tha since someone else posted a topic about it, I'd say my thoughts on it.

Technically AudiMesh3D can only view 3D models, not create them itself. But I see no reason why you couldn't do both with OpenSCAD, the CAD software allows users to create 3D models which can then be 3D printed, but the printing is purely optional. Really any modeling program with a scripting system that outputs STL format files would work.

But I see no reason why you couldn't do both with OpenSCAD, although I think its geared more towards modeling objects for 3D printing. Really any modeling program with a scripting system that outputs STL format files would work.

Even though I had sight as a kid, I too hated the feel and smell of an unravelled cassette. I'd totally forgotten how it used to make me feel ill. Being a bit neurotic, the disorder aspect used to get on my nerves too. Though it was extremely satisfying to successfully reel it back in without any creases. That last moment as the final bit of tape was pulled nice and tight back into the cassette, and order was restored, awesome.I also identify with the idea of certain sounds creating really pleasing textures in the mind. I have this FX preset for guitar that has a really smooth full tone that's similar to the sound of a sine wave. If you play notes staccato, it's as if each one is a highly polished hard little tile. It's just so satisfying.

Recently my depression has gotten worse again and I'm having trouble controlling it, in fact this last Sunday I spent about 40 minutes in the freezing cold because I needed to think to myself. I realize that was stupid now, and in retrospect I realize that had I been in the right mind I wouldn't have done something so idiotic. I've been wanting to start singing, but I keep holding back because I'm not really a fan of letting my voice be heard by other people and poring my heart out in that fashion. Every time I tell myself that I'm just going to pick the microphone up and sing, I never go through with it. I don't know why I get so nervous about letting my voice be heard by other people, but I do. I guess it's because when I was little I sang a song and my parents clapped their hands, and obvious attention scares me in general. I'm afraid of having publicity drawn to me. I believe some day I'm gonna get over that though.

Shotgunshell, record yourself, listen to it, get used to it. Pick up a microphone. Get used to how the microphone and your voice interact. Your own voice in your head vs how it sounds through speakers is a lot different. It's not a bad thing, usually something you just have to get used to.

I'm drunk as a skunk --- not that skunks are particularly drunk at least that I know of --- but imagine having a whisky lover (who's also your guitarist) shotting Scottish highlander whisky with you for free hours straight. We encouraged each other to drink more and poured each others glasses because the other one wasn't drunk enough. A genuinely good moment with a nice guy who seemed to enjoy my company in the throws of drunken honesty.The band is  going stronger than ever and I'm going to upload some shit in a while (like 1 or 2 days) from a recording with me and the guitarist jamming seeing as the other members did not show up for that rehersal session.

Both have their advantages, but when using BrushTone I tend to go with keyboard as well. Part of that has to do with the fact that the mouse doesn't work properly with tools other than the Pencil, which is something I plan on addressing at some point in the future.

AudiMesh3D v1.0.0: Accessible STL 3D Model Viewer

AudiMesh3D is a result of my tinkering with 3D modeling for the past few weeks, it allows users to view STL format 3D models using a variety of tools similar to those in BrushTone, such as a Sonifier, Cursor Scan, with 3D positional Audio and HRTF, and Braille Display output. Meshes are rendered with a Depth Map view giving them a better sense of shape and form, as well as being more optimized for Sonifying with [Peter Meijers Image to Sound Algorithm]. STL format models by the way are also largely used by 3D printers, heh.You can grab the latest version here: [AudiMesh3D v1.0.0]If you'd like to get your 3D modeling groove on you can also grab [OpenSCAD] which is a scripting based 3D modeler. There's documentation [here] and a guide [here]. To create 3D models all you need is a text editor and to save your scripts as a plain text file, like "your-script.txt", preferably in the OpenSCAD folder. Then to compile it into an STL model just head to the command line and type:openscad -o your-model.stl your-script.txtAfter that if AudiMesh3D is also in the same folder you can straight load it for viewing like so:audimesh3d your-model.stlThere are also all sorts of things you can take a look at over at [thingiverse], such as tools, decorations, costumes, toys, etc. Although some of them may be broken into individual pieces for better 3D printing. Hi folks,I just went to put together a third sample of text, and discovered to my horror that my encoder had a small glitch that was causing it to omit a character. Since this character never appeared in the section I'd done by hand, it looked like everything was fine when I reversed the process.Let this be a warning to everyone: do not develop software hastily. It will come back to bite you.I've repaired the encoder and re-processed both the existing long sample and my new one, which is about 2.5 times longer. Because of the nature of the glitch, a sizeable portion of the messages have changed slightly. The underlying scheme has not, however, and the changes should be easily noticeable and may even give you some clues.I'm very sorry for the mixup; hopefully having the longer text and ability to cross-reference against the old example will make up for the loss of time.All the examples are on the site at:https://nightvista.net/decoding-challengeAs I add more text, I've been considering creating a zip file of "resources", including files for each sample. I used to like the texture of corduroy but can't stand it anymore. Due to  the neuropathy in my finger tips from treatment and such I can't read Braille for a long time if its on card stock. Newspapers too sometimes I can't stand the texture of.

there's a thing that really anoys me about jaws and that is when a english version of jaws is out ti takes months until other languages gets that version too. me personally don't like to wait for the swedish version to come out and the only reason that i want it is so that i can read the braile letters that swedish has.  i don't get what's so god damn hard to release everything at the same time and not have some users wait just because they want jaws in another language

Hi all,I've been wondering what I'm going to do when the battery in my Focus 40 Blue dies. I don't expect this to happen in the short term, but I still have to wonder what I'm going to do 5 or 10 years down the road. This is the original Bluetooth model from 2009 that I got for $350 used. Is it possible to find replacement batteries for this or am I going to have to keep it connected via USB or the power adapter? Does Freedom Scientific still support this model? I highly doubt it and even if they did, they would probably charge outrageous prices if I contacted them.

Hello Snow. Thanks for finding this game. You don't need a real mouse for adding points. If you are familiar with your screen reader, you can use key combinations to move the mouse pointer and use it virtually. I'm using a desktop with NVDA, so this is how I do:1. Use the arrows and find the clickable element.2. Disable numlock and press insert plus slash from the numeric keypad.3. Anyone else ever play swamp with graffics on? For some reason, with either jaws or NVDA, every message repeats until I hit the control key. For example, arrowing through the menu would be like "Multiplayer game. Multiplayer game." Sometimes it repeats twice like that, or sometimes it just seems to go on and on, so I have to use sapi. Now I don't usually play with graffics on since I don't need them and can't use them anyways, but figured I'd mention that, as if showing sighted people the game I usually turn graffics on but have to switch to sapi which I don't really like doing.

Unlocker is useful software for getting rid of things that can't be deleted. It either tells you what's using the file if that's the problem, or will offer to delete it on restart. It's worked for me a few times.

Unlocker can be useful software for getting rid of things that can't be deleted. It either tells you what's using the file if that's the problem, or will offer to delete it on restart. It's worked for me a few times.

Thanks Socheat that is great to know. It has helped already since I have a one tb external drive (mostly used to pass stuff between my lady and I), that had an undeletable folder on it caused by an error while copying files from my lady's old computer. Even reformatting the drive wouldn't get rid of it, neither did C cleaner's shred option.It wasn't a major pain, but still having an empty folder you don't want clogging the place up can be a little distracting. Windows gave me the notification to scan and fix the drive which I could of course read, and after that bye bye annoying folder! thumbs up for that one.Also interesting that Windows 10 could fix a problem which neither xp, nor 7 nor even C cleaner could deal with, though I admit I didn't try too hard  it wasn't a major issue just a miner distraction.

I do perform a  registry clean up after uninstalling a program, but I do it manually using regedit, that way I know for certain that the registry entries being removed are safe.

Saving cheat lists has become a lot less useful in recent years. BGT in particular seems to use some form of address randomization, which means the different values have different addresses each time the program runs. Naturally this makes saving a file of addresses useless.

In that case, when editing the value, just make sure the lock checkbox is checked. That enables functionality where as soon as the game changes the value, GameCheater changes it right back. If that isn't working, the game might have some sort of subtle anti-cheating mechanism.
