Muahahaha, I know a couple of those female gamers you asked for, but I'm not going to submit them to ... ahem ... media coverage They have enough stalkers, meaning me, to worry about already. On another note, I find the political correctness and radical feminist opposition to "sexist" video games to be ... well toxic. I'm not going to make a political rant about details or individual cases, mostly because I only have a few minutes before I have to leave. But honestly I've never had a single one of my female gamer friends complain to me about sexism. Perhaps because no one really gives a shit. It's entertainment, so it's not a depiction of reality - in most cases. I'm not  complaining about nitpicking on reality simulators, but you should all know that this is usually not the case. Meh, I'd have to go read more on particular instances of this to be able to give better commentary, and I'll certainly not do it here, as that'd be way too political for what this forum is supposed to be. Maybe I'll throw a link to my blog once it's all written up.

Nick, that specific bug may want to be mailed to the dev team, if you haven't already of course. With all the people experiencing different bugs, it's hard to keep track of who's said what about whatever. If you have done that, then really all I can suggest is waiting. Obviously, there are a whole pile of people who don't have the issue you're reporting, but just as obviously you are, so it'll be down to someone to find out the reason for that, what's different enough about your situation to be generating the errors. I'm sorry I can't be of more help.After learning about new game plus being bugged, I'm just a wee bit burnt out on AHC for a little while. I may take my save file - I made a backup copy - and grind for awhile, probably in the mine or graveyard, to see if people keep gaining new attacks, and to jack levels even higher for whenever things are all patched up, but I have no pressing desire to right at the moment. I also fly out of here in two days to return home, so I'm gonna be bushed for a day or two after that. Plane travel always wipes me out.

Hello,I agree with visualstudio, use smartpointers, this pointers will delete the conten or the pointed-object when you are outsite the block. This is recommented, because when a exception is thrown, it clean automaticly up the pointers. Also the smartpointers throw a exception when you try to access on a nullptr.Btw. use nullptr, not NULL. Well I got a hell of a christmas gift, my remaining balance on my last student loan of $1,730 or so, my dad and his wife decided to pay it off. That's a $90 a month bill I no longer have, which is nice.I've been lucky to avoid family issues mostly. My only concern is for my brother if he really marries this girl he's engaged to. He has a child with her, and she has a child of her own from a previous thing. I just don't think the two of them are right for each other. She's so damn vacant and weird. When a date is set, I'm gonna say to him as the time approaches, look dude, are you really sure you want to do this, you two do not have to be together to make the kid thing work. Her kid is 5 and has some form of Autism, and their kid is 2 and I believe she's going to be the same way. I pegged her kid for it and told them, but they never did anything about it, and now, that could have been two years he could have had therapy. They're really not ready for kids. I mean, they show up with no shoes on sometimes, or no wipes in the diaper bag. He's so disorganized, you could give him a check for a million dollars and he'd lose it in two seconds. I think they've been doing better, they used to fight really bad, I actually was living there and left because I got tired of it. She was sucking him dry for a while, not financially, butlike, spiritually, she was sucking his soul dry of anything happy. I hated seeing him depressed like that. And he actually seemed worse after a time after I left there, but I guess he's OK now. The whole thing is so uncertain, and I don't like it. My mom, and my aunt don't like her either. My dad and his wife I guess do, but I think they try to remain neutral as much as possible.Now, back in the fall of 2014, my grandpa died of a complication due to his quadruple bypass surgery a week later he got out of the hospital. Two years later, in the mountains where that side of the family are from, my grandma up there signs Spicewood, which is the land that should have been divided into thirds, my dad getting a third, my uncle George getting a third, and my uncle Chuck getting a third. But, out of those three, Chuckie is her son, my dad and George are not. She's my grandpa's hell, 2nd, 3rd, I don't know, but not his first wife. She's always been a little... funny about that, sometimes acting like the other two, I'm not gonna say don't exist, its just weird. Basically, she favored her son over those two every single time. So, that land got signed over to Chuck. Now, imagine that you hear from the age of 5 that one day, you'll get that land, all through your childhood and so forth, and with one stroke of the pen, bam, its gone. I mean, my dad and his brother Chuck still talk, so its not like its completely out of the family, but still.I was up there this summer. There is a cemetary not far away from our camp. You go up our drive, which merges onto this road, part of it goes up and around to meet up with another road that's a steep downhill road before forking left and right, and the other half goes down and around, so it forms  a large loop. It's this lower half where the cemetary is located, off to the left if you leave the camp, and to your right if you come towards the camp on that half of the loop. I've always wanted to be buried there, but I didn't think it was possible. That land, I don't know, there is a very powerful connection I have to the mountains, and its always been that way for me. So, I recently found out that there are plots open, so I will be getting one, which is awesome, because that's where I want to end up when I die.This summer, my other grandpa on my mom's side of the family was in the hospital for nearly 3 months. He went in there with such a bad list of stuff I didn't think he was gonna make it. He was kept out of it for a while, completely sedated to the point of being almost in a coma. I had to work myself up to go in there and see him, A, because I hate hospitals, and B, I don't know, its something having to do with someone you perceive as strong, being completely weakened, it fucks with your head. So its a bunch of us there now, me, my mom, my brother, my aunt, and his... I don't even know, for lack of a better term, wife. (That's a whole other story). So yeah, he's not doing good at all that day, his heart keeps going into arythmias and they can't get it under control. They had a call into Cardiology, who basically were gonna come down there and zap him, which they said was a risk being that he's 79. We go outside for 5 minutes and come back in, and he's doing better, they had one last medication to try I guess before they had to resort to the defibrulator, and it worked. After that, he was still asleep for a while, but then he had to be kept in after being woke up due to problems swallowing. He had to have a tube in his trachea and one in his stomach for feeding, and that presented problems, and more things, but finally, he made it

I thought since it wasn't respecting the voice from there, it wouldn't respect the rate, but it does.There are two control panels, one for 32 bit and one for 64 bit. Going to clear up some misinformation here and set a few things straight.somespoilersbeyondYou've been warned.First, the noisy goblin in the dungeon has nothing to do with the A House Divided quest. For that quest, you have to find three letters. One is in one of the camps. One is in the settlement. One is in the palace.Second, the professor's house is accessible using the little east-to-west road in the northeast section of town I believe. It's not super-hidden, but it's a smallish house and relatively easy to miss. You do not actually have to visit him though, unless you want to start the Finding the Founders quest. Father Ignatius will do everything you need for that quest, so I'm honestly not sure why it mentions the professor there. Maybe to alert you to visit him in the first place? That might actually be a good idea, now I think about it, because he's not really used for much else.spoilersend

I forget her name lol!After that, you have to go back to the card writing machine and create the card using all the information you've collected.I'm still stuck on the Hanger puzzle. S P O I L E R SWhere the heck is the Professor's house?  I've wandered all over to try and trigger the second phase of the Inn and tavern quest, but I just can't find it.  I run across the Prof's door, his wall, and just have no clue how to find  the way INTO the door.  I want to trigger the second half of the quest before moving on to one of the bigger ones, this is so frustrating lol.  I kind of wish his house were a built in beacon because I think I've seen other people having trouble finding this.Also, how do you clear the brambles in the forest quest?  I'm stuck there too. I already see the greatest problem with the Husband and wife voice acting aspect of things... You'll want your cats to have a name, so unless you get someone who's exceptionally devoted to the project who is willing to pre-record like, a kagillion different names at least 10 different ways to show different types of connotation and emotion and such, you certainly won't have a very believable experience.

I didn't bother trying to open the safe I assume you had to go back to the science office to get that.Using the pg13 playthrough I was able to get past the cameras.spoilerAfter you unblock 42, you need to go to 53 block 43, navigate to 51 unblock 41 then you can go to 41 and d243 is open.However I didn't bother continuing as I just wanted to get the last part finnished I never completed the genna side quest, and at any rate it wouldn't matter if I did.One thing, if you never got the in training hacker rescued in ep0 you are basically screwed.Look at your email you will know what to do.Oh and to the person that said the ending was epic you are absolutely right.You just went and beat the boss in ep0?Um, what about if that was what the boss wanted you to think became part of your os, and well now I assume in the next 2 eps you need to try to stop the boss.However this is dificult since even the virtual nets know that you are sort of a death bringer, and depending what you did with yourself in the last ep will probably depend on if you will get an easier time of it.This game is 4 eps long so I assume in the next 2 eps you first try to clear the virus, stopped by the boss, then in the next one try again.So if you do your cards right in number 4 there will have to be an epic boss battle, but the boss is part of you and it gets complex.Seriously this game is so systemshock 1 and 2 except its not systemshock.

I want a Cat Sim!

SO the discussion in another topic got me thinking, and I want this cat sim thing. I was thinking to my self for a while before that, it would be awesome to have, but my programming skills, if any, do not stack up to the challenge. Here's my idea for the game. You play as a cat, you may randomly be allowed out, like, as an indoor / outdoor cat, or kept in all the time, unless you sneak out . As a cat, you will be able to run around, jump and climb up onto things, and do the things cats do, but the game isn't free for all, it has some challenges. Cats have needs, I have a cat, and while I might not be an expert in them, and certainly have misinterpreted my cats wants / needs before, I can give you an outline of that the major ones are. Food, water, litter box; these are the basics, then you get onto more harder to define needs. Cats like to hunt, and they manifest that in different ways being that they're domestic, and don't really hunt, unless you took in a stray from the streets or something, which, incidentally, is what I did. Just to dampen the possible outrage, my cat is perfectly healthy, she's been spayed, is current with flea treatments, etc. Is due for shots but I have an appointment next month to get that taken care of. Anyway, cats can display complex behaviors, like the desire to play, and the seeming need to scratch. I think these are part of the hunting reflex. They play to keep their skills sharp, as that's probably instinct. I would say definitely the need to scratch and play should be in the game. Also, balancing out the need for interaction or affection, with the desire to be alone / in dependant.What I envision is that you're placed in a house with a family, so a husband and wife, and then the cat. You run around and try to be a cat, satisfying any needs that come up, before they become a problem. If they do become a problem, and say, any of the needs if they start out at 100, hit 0, you lose control temporarily while the cat acts out this need. For food or something, maybe there will not be consequences, as they would just seek out their food bow.. But for scratching, the game would have the cat go to the nearest things that seems scratchable, and scratch it for a while. Now, say the family is away every day, so maybe a day is like 10 minutes game time, and so you have a small period of that time to go wild. if you do scratch up the furniture, either because you failed to satisfy this need yourself, or because you literally went over to it and hit the key to scratch, you would then be in trouble, yelled at, etc. You would not be yelled at for scratching things appropriate to the purpose, such as scratching posts, cat trees, etc. I also think there should be the possibility to climb onto surfaces the family doesn't want you on, like the counter tops, stove tops, refrigerator, dining table, etc. Also, I think you should have the ability to knock stuff over by walking into it.SO, maybe the game has challenges, but its hybrid sandbox, hybrid meaning you can, for the most part, do what you want as long as you're willing to accept the consequences. Maybe this could be a scolding, to in home obedience, or obedience classes, to, if you're really really bad, they give you up, and the game would end.It would be great if the husband and wife were voice acted, and we had a game that was like this, you could walk or run and jump, climb, scratch, eat drink, piss shit, claw fight, bite, etc. etc. etc.I would love to see a game come out like this, but I don't have high hopes of it becoming a thing

Spoilers aheadIn order to change around your party members, you need to go back to the tavern in the town. When you go into the south large bedroom which is the first door on the left hand side in the hallway, then you can choose who you want to go with you on your adventure. This is how you change party members around every once in a while when you feel the need for it.

There is a bug with skill learning. Mathias is level 25-26 for me, I think, and he's in the same boat. Certain skills have prerequisites, but the game is somehow missing that you have the prerequisite learned. I think the same is true for warriors, although for mages it appears to be working.verysmallspoilersIf you buy ice spike and lightning bolt, you will unlock further spells of ice and lightning whether or not you choose them in elemental attunement. For instance, I got Flash Freeze and Whiteout just by buying Ice Spike, and for all I know I'd get the higher-level ice attack as well (the same way I get Fire Blast naturally, for instance).I am stupidly, stupidly excited for the next patch. I have all kinds of respect for the massive amounts of work going into fixing the myriad issues the game's having. Even with those issues, I've logged about forty-five hours on the game since I bought it.

I don't know. There used to be an NVDA addon that would translate, I bet it probably did use the googs. The google translate would either have to have an API that the developer of such a tool would call on, or they would have to do some clever stuff with HTml parsing and stuff that's way above my level of expertise.

By buff-stacking, I mean out-of-combat buff-stacking. Inside combat I don't care, obviously, since every round you spend putting up a buff is a round you aren't doing massive damage. Ditto healing or whatnot. But yeah, being able to set up all your buffs, heal your mana really fast and then enter fights that are supposed to be hard, only to rip them apart because you got to put up all your defenses? I've basically made an unofficial rule for myself. I'm not going to do that, because it makes the game way, way too easy.

While I am fully aware Nightshade can speak for herself and probably will should it come to that, I fully believe I'm right in saying she would have no issue with the offensive email being displayed, given she, much like myself is an open book with nothing to hide, and also, that the email she wrote was a civil warning from a moderator to a forumite, the resulting offensive email being something she herself didn't write.  I think the truth is that for the most part we're all sad that it went down this way given it honestly didn't have to.  had he bothered to reply nicely and simply state that it was a joke in calm and respectful tones with perhaps some hint of an apology none of this ever would have happened.

I was reading a book for C++ today, and some of the important rules when dealing with pointers are:1. When using new keyword, also always use delete, in case when you no longer need that pointer to prevent memory leaks.2. After using delete, also reset that pointer to null, in order to prevent crashing if you accidentally recall the deleted pointer somewhere in the code.4. Always check if pointer is null or not null before trying to recall it.5. The keyword delete *must* always be used also when you want to reinitialize pointer, in other words, when you wanna make it point to another variable.

Hello together,I am kind of stuck in the forest. But for me it is not the main quest, but the side quest "Laying Down the Law". Spoiler:I managed it to kill enough bandits and the Captain talled me to find places where the bandits could hide, such as ridges and knolls. I have found two ridges. The first one west from the city gate and the other one by the intersection of the north south road and west east road. When I have found a knoll a little to the east from the north south road. These three places doesn't seam to be the only places. Atleast I don't see anything new in my quest log. You almost certainly can't fix the error yourself, and will probably have to wait for the next patch.As far as the letters, there are three of them, but again, knowing which one you're missing makes a difference. One of my main problems is the first letter navigation thing. I was told that I could just search for a user name, but typically when I want to mention someone, I like to go to my friends list and press the first 2 or 3 letters of their name to jump to them. When they put emogies in their name I have to up arrow through the list until I get to them, and I have a rather large friends list. I suppose I'll just have to search for the user somehow. Also, sorry for my ignorance about sited people looking at emogies, I'm not 1 so I didn't know.

I don't use Emoggees that much but I do some stuff on slack where in one of the groups I'm part of the thing translates what they are to JAWS which helps. Sometimes I'm not sure what things make up what and it has led to a lot of confusion. But even I use a couple mostly the  and  and not much else.

I pretty much agree with @pitermach on this one, but I just wanted to expand a little. With all of the most popular social networks and services aiming towards audiences wanting to share gifs and images, I think that Emoji are pretty cool since we have access to them at least. If I didn't, I can certainly say that the chance for confusion and misunderstanding during my conversations with sighted individuals would be much greater. (only because sighted users use them so much) I didn't really care for them when they were first introduced on IOS, but over time, the concept kind of grew on me. Unfortunately, they've encouraged me to be lazy. Why spell something out when I can let the Emoji do the talking? I don't go overboard at least. I mainly just use them to help emphasize my tone. Example:"I FINALLY REMEMBERED TO PAY MY SPOTIFY!"Edit: Well the Emoji didn't paste, so let's just forget about the example.

Yeah. That's why it's so widely used on social media. Just for the record, Narrator's been reading emojis since the early windows 8 beta stages. And also, I'd advise you to start listening to your speech faster if you haven't already, since that will solve half of the time problem as far as going through all that. I have espeak set to 15 percent on rate boost, and that to me is a moderate speed. The more you listen to it the more you get used to it. And if it comes down to it maybe you don't need to use natural voices as a consistent reading voice, at least until they can start speaking faster without slurring their speech, which only some natural synths will do. As for emojis, I'm fine with it. I have a pretty diverse twitter timeline and considering it could be just a picture tweet I could be scrolling over, I have no problem with emojis and have since gotten used to them. When someone had a twitter that consisted entirely of emojis and other unicode characters, I just made a pronunciation entry with the replacement being her actual name. Done and done. I would honestly advise against using sapi with the clients under any circumstance, using a screenreader just gives it a more smooth performance overall.

Hmm, I hope I can explain that.After unlocking the exit of the second town. If you go through it, first a dinosaur appears which you have to fight. And then, after it's dead and you are between the two towns there's the problem. I went north where you have to fight a bratboy which drops a key after you defeat him.Does this help? sighted people don't register absolutely anything and everything. If they want to tune something out, they won't even take notice of any emoji or at best only briefly glance over them. A lot of emoji in a name is actually pretty common, its done in display names, group names in whatsapp etc.

Sounds like a pretty cool update again, will check it out. @pitermach I don't hate emogies, I just think they should be used in moderation. If someone says face with tears of joy I like this post or thumbs up to person mctalk for that tweat, I don't mind. I just don't like seeing it in display names.@connor142 On Twitter, nobody's business is their own unless they're direct messaging someone else. As for the display name thing, more than 1 person has emogies in their name. I wouldn't just block everyone who does that, because I only block people if they say something stupid. Also, what do you do if you don't use a screen reader? You can't set a dictionary entry in your eyes, and I don't think Twitter has any way to turn off emogies so you're pretty much screwed. If you use Microsoft Narrator your probably screwed with that 1 too, unless Narrator doesn't read emogies.

Meh, stuck around the goblin tunnels again. Or well ... I wasn't really stuck the first playthrough as I found the letters immediately. This time though, idk what's up with me. 2/3 found, one missing.Also yeah, the only viable way I'm running xp now is with Alexia actively healing, lest I want to spend thousands on potions. Wasn't really the case when playing on easy.I wish the warrior class had more substance, maybe a way to tank in general, intimidation and group tactics, organized retreats (although at the moment retreat isn't really an issue since just trying it a few times will get me away).

I personally like Emoji, because they make the visual side of communication more accessible to us because they're so common. People will often choose to send an emoji rather than a sticker, and then you don't have to feel left out or like you're looking stupid for asking what someone just sent you. This works in the other direction too, I'll often sent sighted people emoji to express emotion, because I actually know what I'm sending (well, for the most part anyway).They also make icons more accessible. Quite often, developers will use an emoji to label a link or button on a website. Stuff like down arrows to indicate dropdown menus, magnifying glasses for search, thimbs up/down for like and dislike on comment systems, it's getting quite common

read about heep and stackwhen you declare a variable, it will be allocated on the stack while pointers are allocated into heepyou can manage memory with it (allocate and free when it is needed) hence faster speed and lower memory usagein OS development, it is needed for working with devices etcnd many many more!

Hmmm, that is very odd and quite a shame, particularly given the accessibility work that has just been put into the game. It seems strange that numbers of accounts should be limited in this way. I suggest people contact the developer, and show that there is a distinct interest in the game from members of the audio gaming community.Hopefully iot's just a miner server blip and will be sorted reasonably soon.

Thatsort of worked but it sort of didn't.i.e. I got the speechsdk stuff installed BUT here's the odd bit. I'm running Zorin 12.2 which has its own desktop. I got the speech stuff installed and rebooted thanks  to my system decideding hey it's too warm, shut off. Fired it back upI'm in a Gnome desktop instead of a Zorin desktop.That and I'm not sure why installing something in Wine would have changed the desktop.well changed it so severely I mean.

Announcement, musical professor banned from the forum

This is just to make all members aware that the user known as Musical professor has been perminantly banned from the forum. Some people might have  seen the offensive comment he posted about myself in the topic regarding the adult online browser game, Nabbers empire. I requested other moderators to look into the situation, and Nightshade deleted his initial post and sent him a warning email, notifying him that his insulting behaviour (which boardered on the misogynistic), would not be tolerated on the forum. he then responded by emailing her a mouthful of abuse, claiming he was only joking. Said abuse also  contained several  totally! Misogynistic and insulting remarks (I do have a copy of this email which Nightshade shared with the other moderation staff, should anyone wish to see it, though I suspect Nightshade might wish to keep it restricted to moderator access only). As is well known, personal attacks will not be tolerated on this forum, and that goes for moderators as well, indeed part of the reason there are! multiple moderators is to try and offer independent perspectives when these sorts of situations arise.. Just like active racism or other forms of insulting discrimination, misogyny will not be tolerated on the forum, and that definitely includes crude gender based insults directed at female members of staff (much less family members of moderators), and no, claiming that "it was only a joke" isn't a mitigating circumstance either. Since musical professor has already recieved a ban for insulting behaviour, this time, given the gravity of the situation his ban is permanent.I really hope we can avoid this sort of unpleasantness in future, generally this forum has been free from discriminatory insults, and myself, and all the other moderators would very much like to keep it that way. Thanks for reading and sorry for spoiling people's day with such nastiness, but since we prefer to keep forum workings transparent I thought our members should be made aware of the situation.As is usual, this topic will be unstuck and moved to site and forum feedback in a week.
