canons in oh shit can't be destroyed, you have to keep jumping over the cannonballs. however, the cannonballs are fired after 30 seconds each time, and you hear a tone signaling that the cannon is about to fire, so there is ample time to prepare yourself for the oncoming ball.

@techmaster20 Compared to the charger that I personally received (i'm not sure what chargers are shipped out with newer units), it was able to charge at a higher voltage than the stock charger could. The win2 can handle up to 15v charging. I also purchased it because the UK seller I got it from gave me a UK charger with a U.S. adapter that didn't always work, it had to be plugged in at just the rite position to charge.

Re: `Cosmic Rage, an all new, all awesome Space MOO from Nathan Tech!

Hi.I agree on the language thing, but it's difficult to find any good solution. I agree it can be very difficult for us who don't have English as our main language to rollplay as much as we wish.Translate the whole game into other languages would take more time than I even can describe. This game is extremely huge. If you just look at the help files, there are more than 500 of those. I don't know how many rooms there are. If I did, you also have to keep in mind that players are expanding the game and building more rooms on their factories all the time. Both the amazing developers, builders and all the players who have a factory makes the game grow extremely fast. So if you should have a minimum chance of translating the game into an other language, you need 10 people constantly working on that part.

@techmaster20 There wasn't really any bloatware on the part of GPD, I'm more so talking about the infestation that is vanilla windows 10.. lol. That's bloatware in and of itself, without all the added manufacturer crap. As for it speaking a different language, I didn't have that problem, so I have no idea. Also, if you get a charger that has a converter adapter to convert it to a U.S. plug (that's assuming you live in the U.S.), get this charger instead.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071H … =1Might want to get another USB C cable as well, the one that came in the box was a little short. Just make sure it's type c to type c, meaning both plugs on both ends. The the end that plugs into the win will be the same on the other end. For best performance make sure it's a power delivery cable as well.

The other problem with GPS right now is the security of the protocol it uses. Hell, the security of the protocols phones use is at serious risk right now too. Anyone with the appropriate skillset (which isn't overly hard to get, either) and about $200.00 of equipment can very easily reroute your GPS to take you somewhere it shouldn't, like into a back alleyway so they can kill you or steel your shit. And the scary thing is you'll have absolutely no idea that its happening unless you know the route to where your going very well, or you actually listen to your subconscious.

Re: Proposed New Rules: Discussion and Feedback

In the system I'm talking about, a lot of production won't have to be set up the way it is now, as 3d printing will mean that much production will be able to be done by individuals. Property is iffy, but I'm definitely a big fan of things like tool libraries, which are already a thing in some places. (i.e., you pay a nominal fee, and you can rent a tool for a specific time rather than buying your own; just for example, you might have to pay thirty bucks a year, and that's unlimited rentals.) Somebody would obviously have to govern social programs, mind you.And as far as word about the rules? I haven't heard much from the list lately. It's been pretty quiet. I've also been fairly busy, honestly. End of the semester, and all that. But I'm trying to keep abreast of what's going on. If I hear anything, you guys will know, I promise.

I used Liam's stream to go back and get it because I was an idiot and had no idea how to get up to that platform.Just nerving myself up to get two more yoyos at this point. I'm assuming I can't get a yoyo and then just exit the stage. Since it requires keeping Carla alive, and there's a lot of things that go boom in those levels, it doesn't look like fun. But hey, I did it once. I only have to do it twice more.

Re: making html download something?

I don't understand what makes the code in 7 much different from using the download attribute. For one, that method is inefficient and requires the size of the file in bytes of memory available because your reading the entire file into memory. And that risks going over the memory limit that PHP sets. And, two, your opening it in "read" mode, not "read-binary" mode. No point in adding code that's pointless when the download attribute is there in HTML.

And that risks going over the memory limit that PHP sets. And, two, your opening it in "read" mode, not "read-binary" mode. No point in adding code that's pointless when the download attribute is there.

If you want to go with web development, coding HTML is a thing, but you still need to learn CSS, perhaps _javascript_, PHP, mysql, and all that stuff. If you want to be a web developer. Or, if you know Python,, you can't go wrong with Django, or Flask. Still though, you need to learn how to manage databases, and CSS as I said.

@Chris I only did that because I had an enterprise version of windows without all the crapware. The way I did it was spamming the del key on startup, which took me to the bios, had my brother select usb for me and that was that.  I really wish moterboard manufacturers could start implementing some form of standard accessibility in their mobos, like keep a standard interface on all different mobo types and brands to make things either, because some motherboards have different functions than others.. Make a common key to enable the screen reader. Idk.

Re: an interesting article about accessibility in virtual reality

Hello there again everyone, karate25 here and as promised, here's what I have thus far with my outline. It'll seem like I'm jumping around here but I'm basically writing down ideas as they come to me in no particular order but I hope you like what I have thus far and if you can think of any sorts of names for either the starting planet or the world itself, by all means, feel free to bounce them my way.    In the world of NewDawn, the time is the beginning of the 30th century and mankind has long since learned how to become a space fairing society and has left the milkyway galaxy for more habitable worlds since the earth was struck by a massive meteor and destroyed. Luckily, scientists were able to locate the approaching meteor before it struck the earth and there was a mass evacuation of earth without a single fatality since everyone was put into massive voyager class starships and departed the impending disaster for a newly discovered planet almost identical to earth just outside of the milkyway galaxy called Utopia.    Starships in NewDawn will employ both ion thrusters as well as fusion drives for both their propultion as well as supplying power for their internal electrical systems and life support.  Every avatar, known from here on as colonists will take on the roles of humans to carve out their lives here in NewDawn.  Each colonist will have implanted in their brain a device called a cerebral computer which is a tiny chip in the head that will allow you to do everything from making transactions at a shop’s console, making calls to other colonists and even summoning your starship to your current location.    Dynamic voice chatting will be mandatory in NewDawn, dynamic meaning that where ever you happen to be, your voice will sound as though you are actually there.  Your cerebral computer uses bone conduction technology to allow you to hear its voice if you are a totally blind colonist as well as hearing your caller’s voice when making voice calls or watching video messages.  Yes, you will even be able to watch video messages with your cerebral computer as well.    Starships will have many roles in NewDawn.  Everything from asteroid mining and salvaging on up to transporting passengers in ships called spaceliners that are equipped with seat-mounted food and drink ordering consoles for your passengers to feel more comfortable as you take them where they need to go.  The voyager class of starship mentioned earlier can literally hold thousands of people and is a luxurious model and is meant for very long distance traveling and exploration but it also can be outfitted with weaponry if one is so inclined to visit more dangerous parts of space.  Starships will also be equipped with hyperdrives to move quickly between galaxies.

Still not seeing the problem? Fundamentally, it's a set of rules for parsing strings. Implementing those rules might not be as easy as fizzbuzz, but I'm not sure what would make it so much harder as to require DLLs or built-in support. We're talking parsing rules, not hardware drivers or DSP.

Ah. Yeah, that's definitely true. And even if you do strive for a more socialist society, I doubt it'll happen in our lifetimes. Change, especially with societies as large as Americas, never goes that fast. No, if it ever starts, it'll slowly -- very, very slowly -- trickle through about 3-5 generations before catching on. Re: How i play pokemon let's go, and why you should try, if your a fan!

No, no spoken dialogue. As far as knowing where you have to go to talk to people, what i do is follow along with a walkthrough while i play. Yes, it takes patients because sometimes, you have to use a grid patern to find people in buildings and other places. Since i really enjoy the series, it's worth it to me to take the time to play. You could use seeing AI for battles if you want, but since i'm very familiar with the formula after 20 years of playing, i know the attack sounds. Even if game freek comes out with a knew mechanic, it doesn't take very long to catch up. Again, i really only recommend this game if your a true fan, as this can't really be played casually, until you beat the main story, and can just train and use whatever pokemon you like. If your new to the series, i'd start with the pokemon crystal access project, so you can get a good feel of how things work.

Hey, quick question: how can I secure my codes? I started to use C# more as time goes, but I am concerned about security of my codes, not that I think that they can be useful but anyway I want them to be secured.

Re: X Box One wireless controller help!

2018-11-28 Thread AudioGames . net Forum — General Game Discussion : Ethin via Audiogames-reflector

Re: X Box One wireless controller help!

Here's the layout, left-to-right, or as best as I can make it in writing:The Xbox1X controller is made of multiple sections:* On the left-hand side is the D-Pad (directional pad) and the left stick. The D-pad is (I believe) diagonal to the left stick; that is, it is down and slightly to the right of the left stick.* To the right of the left stick and D-Pad is the view button. The view button is used to focus in on an activity within an app or game. The functionality and usefulness (or lack thereof) of this button varies between each app or game.* To the right of the view button is the Xbox button. This button has multiple functions:- When the controller is off, holding this button turns it on. When it is on, holding this button turns it off. Some guides indicate that this also turns on and off the console; I have seen no evidence of this.- When using the console, pressing this button once will instantly take you to the guide screen, no matter where you are.- When Narrator is off, if two snapped apps are viewed, pressing this button twice quickly switches between them. When Narrator is on, pressing this button twice quickly toggles between narrator and controller mode.* To the right of the Xbox button is the menu button. The menu button is used to access settings menus in games, extra functions within apps, or (when typing) acts like the enter button on a keyboard.* To the right of the menu button is a cluster of controls: to the left of the cluster of buttons on the far right-hand side of the controller is the right stick. To the right of that are the four buttons you will use the most, shaped like a diamond: on the bottom is A, to the right of A is B, above B is X, and below X is Y.* Additionally, there are five more controls on the front of the stick: the left and right bumpers, the left and right triggers, and a controller sync button. The functionality of these bumpers and triggers varies per application. The controller sync button is to the left of the USB charging port; you should only need to press this once, and should never need to use it again. It will sync the controller to either the computer or the Xbox, whichever you choose to use it on.Finally, on the back of the controller is an expansion slot.Sources: my own experience with the controller, and https://help.quickflix.com.au/hc/en-us/ … ler-Guide.

Decided to go over it again just cuz I was bored and point out some things that aren't specifically about the site it's self.Over all if you want to include low vision users more, you could use the acronym "VI" (visually impaired) nearly all of us know what it means and you could quietly define it early on for those that don't. You did use it once though and it's up to you. I'm total so I'm not a big part of the partial community, they may understand it perfectly after all and I'm just full of shit.Introduction:Did you mean this site was made to be screen reader friendly and low vision accessible?About UsI think you meant to say blind/low vision accessibleWork Opportunities":Extra "to" when talking about hoping to increase that split in the future. Our Vision:You have a "b." section but no "A." section :-)Missing connective words between "2023" and "regarded". I see the "–" but most screen readers won't pick that up by default.Resources:you say "sight" accessibility again. Maybe this is an Australian term? If so it's a bit misleading but, does kind of make sense at the same time. LOLWe usually say vision loss, but I think we can figure it out.By the way I doubt your going to find more than a handful of non professional voice actors here, and most won't have good mics. Even fewer females... Kind of odd honestly. But we always appreciate good quality voice acting and pick on the opposite around here so it may be a big risk even if you do find someone LOL. Sorry to be a downer. Tabletop RPG players though? Look for MUD/browser game  topics that have posts mentioning RP with the advanced search and you should find them their. We have a decent amount.Or, you could make a post specifically about it in general games. That'd be easier for you anyway. As another aside, while I do appreciate the thought, it was shown in the "the vale" topics that audio gamers really don't much care for blind protagonists. Take the player character in most audio games as an example, Shades of Doom, Superliam, TDV, Tarzan Junior, Treasure Hunt, Swamp, RTR, AHC and many more. If it's ever mentioned that the player is using some kind of device to help them navigate like an audio scope it's nearly always only in passing and just their to head off occasional comments  about believability (as if that's the only thing that makes a blind guy getting into gun fights hard to believe) or  framed as a future technology to make their game a bit more unique, while most never even mention it and just (rightfully) assume that most players won't care much. I know it seems counter intuitive but when you think about it it does make sense. The majority of us just want a game that's as close to the mainstream as possible, so we see things like that as hype mainly to get sighted players interested. Which, over all can be a good thing anyway so it's a bitter sweet sort of feeling, and in really story heavy games (of which we have almost none) it may be more useful.Essentially I think we'd rather have a normal person so we can live vicariously through them (as pathetic as that may sound) you don't play a game like Skyrim or Darksouls where you can choose your race, armor, body type, face, ETC so you can just be your self (at least most people don't) you do it so you can get a taste of what it'd be like to be so powerful/awesome looking. And of course many of us  subconsciously put our selves in the shoes of the main character of a book we're reading, like Harry Potter, or Percy Jackson. So while a strong blind character is cool (take the blind swordsman from the game of the same name, or Edward Blake from A Blind Legend) and may empower those who are newly blind, it doesn't do much for audio gamers.Yet at the same time, Falling Squirrel games (the developers of The Vale) said that focus groups with older blind people who didn't really ever play audio games, showed them that a strong blind character was wanted.I'm just saying you will get backlash, but over all it will also  help get you more sales and spread awareness of the game. It's just something to look out for, and you may consider only doing it in a couple games where you feel it's really important, and maybe not your first one. Here are the topics in question. I bet you their is also the same kind of discussion on the old Blind Legend and Blind Swordsman topics, but because Falling Squirrel made it a priority like you have, I think it was more so for them.https://forum.audiogames.net/topic/2424 … st-thread/https://forum.audiogames.net/topic/2631 … st-signup/https://forum.audiogames.net/topic/2654 … iscussion/

We have a decent amount. As another aside, while I do appreciate the thought, it was shown in the "the vale" topics that audio gamers really don't much care for blind protagonists. Take the player character in most audio games as an example, SOD, Superliam, Technoshock,, TDV, Tarzan Junior, Treasure Hunt, Swamp, RTR, Redspot AHC and many more. I bet you their is also the same kind of discussion on the old ABL and TBS topics, but because Falling Squirrel made it a priority like you have, I think it was more so for them.https://forum.audiogames.net/topic/2424 … st-thread/https://forum.audiogames.net/topic/2631 … st-signup/https://forum.audiogames.net/topic/2654 … iscussion/

SoundRTS 1.2 continuous 9 is available. The file is there: (Windows only)http://jlpo.free.fr/soundrts/continuous … indows.zipChanges from 1.2 continuous 8:- now workers won't automatically help building (they will still automatically repair)- multipoint patrol (If a unit is patrolling and an additional patrol order is given (with shift), the target will be added to the end of the targets list.)- now a defeated player in a team will only observe the team as long as the team isn't defeated- bug fixed: wrong perception and memory after the defeat of the first ally- restored several frames per communication turn (in the config of the server, set fpct_max to 1 to remove this feature)For a Linux server this file might help:http://jlpo.free.fr/soundrts/continuous … 1.2-c9.zip

You can check out a reorganized version of all the guides BlindNinja wrote and my audio guides atwww.blackscreengaming.com/bk3I'll still make a generalized announcement when it is fully completed.

If you were using regular expressions (and if the function was just called "match") you could just do:if (match(currentloc, "^house[0-9]$")) {//...}Believe me, your not going to get regular expressions in BGT any time soon. Unless you enjoy hacking together C++ DLLs, that is. Or getting PCRE/PCRE2 to work. Another reason to not use BGT...

At the moment, that may be true. But the real question is, should they be so polarizingly different? I say no. Shadow Line, A Hero's Call and this game all do good jobs of proving in arious ways that the line between the two doesn't have to be as different as apples and oranges. But that's for another topic.

This looks interesting. I never thh I would be able to easily play Pokémon just based on the visuals alone, and I've never played it before. Would Seeing AI be used for when you are in the battles as well as reading the text, and do you have any tips on how to point the phone at the Switch's screen to get the optimal ⠗⠂⠙⠳⠞⠦  Also, how do you know when you are near a person that you need to interact with, i.e. not a trainer, but someone who is relevant to the story?I know these are new player questions, but I'd love to know.
