I'm afraid I wasn't %100 a fan of ten pin alley, while it had some great sound effects and bells and whistles, the actual gameplay always seemed a wee bit lacking being a fairly basic sterrio targeting fest, though I will freely admit I'm not exactly a huge sports game fan at the best of times, plus it is a very long time since I tried the game and its entirely possible I'd feel differently now . On the other hand, I love the esp pinball games, indeed I've been waiting for more pinball party packs. They're imho some of the best arcade games we've got available with really rich sound effects and very adictive gameplay and were some of the first games I installed when first got my Windows 10 machine and I still pull them out and play them on occasion. blindfold pinball is a nice enough game, but suffers unfortunately from the design flaw which sadly affects a lot of blindfold games titles, namely that they have gone for customisation progressive exploration.For example, instead of making several pinball tables with different layouts and sound effects which would give different experiences to the player, they've simply got three basic table layouts, and a number of sound schemes. So you can play the same table with starwars sounds or animal sounds if you want, and yet still have the same physics.This is a problem in a lot of their games, indeed I think Blindfold racer is probably the only one of their titles I've played which actually has progressive difficulty and the chance for different unlockables and experiences rather than just giving you the maximum choice of game types and options at the beginning and let you cobble things together yourself. then again I haven't played any of their titles for a while, and actually need to for the db, so its possible things have changed (I do gather they have a dog care sim in the works). Anyone here still spin cds? Well guys. I just bought this CD player from amazon. And yes you read this correct. LOL https://www.amazon.com/Rechargeable-Per … +cd+player I have had it for a week and so far it is very awesome! Very easy to use and it has very good audio. I actually bought 2 $30 cd players from amazon last year and both had a digital hiss behind them but I did not return because I figured I'd just use them and deal with it. So this CD player is well worth the $74. I have always loved CDS and missed putting on a CD and listening to it. I went to a thrift store and picked up a few bags of CDS. I actually have blank cds from about 10 years ago or so. Re: Books by Stephen King Well we're getting into multiple post syndrome here, but as I've read more stories in Night shift I'll note them down while they're fresh in my mind. As always, spoilers ahoy for the stories in question! Quitters inc: I actually had read this one before when my lady and I were sharing some of our favourite horr stories, but as that was three years ago I thought I'd read it again. This story was bloody awesome! The way King gives us just enough details to know what's going on and yet doesn't overload us with info about either morrison or his life, and yet the way Quitters inc is presented so wonderfully starkly. I particularly love the way he just outlines the central idea without fanfare, just a company who cause you to quit smoking by whatever means necessary, and then only has one brief slipup in the form of Morison's wife getting the shock treatment. Really this was a masterful example of a story that walses streight in, gets right to the point, then cuts off before it out stays its welcome. Its also a bloody scary premise if you think about it too long, and that from someone who has a real hatred of smoking.I know what you need: Okay this one didn't sit quite as well with me since the underlying philosophy behind it was so damn muddled. Told from the perspective of a beautiful popular girl, about how a socially outcast boy always seems to turn oup with whatever she needs, how she falls in love with him, and then discovers its all about black magic. What my problem was here, is that when you love someone you do! put there needs first, that's just part of it. I wondered if King would play on the idea that having all needs met is boring and relationships need some give and take, but no, the boy was just a creep who magically murdered her previous boyfriend, although without the murder of the boyfriend I honestly would be wondering what the exact problem was, after all he hadn't actually compelled her or changed her! just used his powers to know what she wanted and to make her happy. Indeed, in some senses this seemed to fall into the "single men who can't get dates are creepy" vibe, especially when contrasted against a popular beautiful girl, since hay some of the things he said about her having an easy time due to her good looks were actually fair. Oh, and that's quite aside from King's "all boys always want sex and girls don't" rigmarole, though I suppose I can forgive a story written 40 years ago for being a bit prehistoric.Children of the corn: I know this one was made into a film, and its actually odd I've not read it until now. A bickering couple stop off in the most batty of American towns and wind up getting murdered by its enhabitants who are Lord of the flies meets the Salem witch trials with a bit of lovecraft thrown in.Mrs. Dark didn't like this one, though that's partly because she is a little sensative about stories that play the loopy Christians card a bit too unreservedly. I didnt' mind myself, since it was pretty obvious from the start that the thing beiing worshiped had very little to do with Christianity. I actually thought it was a pretty well constructed story, I liked the atmosphere, the way the town was portrayed and the final confrontation was spine tingling, not to mention poor vicky suffering one of the most truly grotesque and goreful deaths. My only problem that the couple were really dislikeable, heck I can see why King now says the couple who similarly fall fowl of one of those randomly evil American small towns in The Rainy season were happily married, since compared to the sniping and unpleasantness of Bert and vicky, including a little wife beating, those two were positively sweet. It was also a ironic that if Bert had actually listened to Vicky's hysterical fear they wouldn't have wound up deadMy other problem with Children of the corn, was that despite the awesome atmosphere, I thought the church infodump was a bit too much. Deducing a town's disaster from just a reccord of deaths and name changes before any of the psycho kids appear was rather stretching belief, indeed in some ways I actually wanted to learn more about the life of the children in this very bizarre community, especially with the ending of the story implying there might be some descention in the ranks. The man who loved flowers: this one lives from its twist. A young man in love buys flowers, everyone around him says how nice it is to see being young and in love, then it turns out he's a hammer murderer, albeit one who only hammers girls he's looking for a girl who died ten years ago. Like Strawberry spring, this is a mood piece. Oddly enough, New york city didnt' seem overly romantic to me when I was there, and that just before Mrs. Dark and I were married and! in the spring what's more, but hay. A nicely executed if brief story, albeit one that lives almost entirely from its big twist ending, probably a bit more affecting for me since I love to buy my lady

Back when was still an undeggrad, a good friend of mine wrote an essay on pornography and censorship for political philosophy (actually a very similar discussion to what is being had here).He chose to do so precisely because! he and his girlfriend (who is now his wife), used pornography together, both as stimulation, and for purposes of instruction, so it was a subject he felt strongly about. Re: beginner to audiogames Crazy Party does make a lot of sense as a recommendation. While some of the worlds and games are quite difficult, it doesn't throw you in the deep end right away. In fact, the first few worlds are pretty easy. There are a few challenging games sprinkled in here and there, bouncing ground, I'm looking at you, but for the most part, a beginner would definitely be hooked. Even the card battles are pretty easy, at least if you play offline. I never got into Pokemon or anything like that, and really didn't think I'd enjoy it, but I was able to figure out how it all worked fairly quickly. Lua before the basics Hi, you dan't know me that well, so I will start this topic with my situation. in summary, I was born too early, and as a result, I had to be given medican and oxigen to help my lungs to grow. I think the lack of oxigen caused my retinnas to detach. What vission I had when I was a baby was gone by the time I was three. I also think I have a mile mental dissability. It takes me a while to grasp certain concepts, such as, figuring out exponential growth in algebra, calculating chemical compounds, and salving punnett squares in Biololgy. So hears the big picture: I want to wright Mushclient scrips. However, I need to learn how to code first. After I've learned a code, I need to determine what I wan to do in the Mud. I also need to figure out how to make A plus B equals C. I did a little bit of googling and several sites said that Lua was easy to learn. So, I need some free tools to help me learn Lua. I tried to find a Lua for Dummies book, but there is no Lua for Dummies book. So what resources do you recommend to an extreme beginner? Re: do yall think this is possible? Anything is possible, I say. Hell, I wrote a calculator in a long-winded way with a parser generator, just to prove to myself I could do it. And guess what? It worked so well I was able to use it in science classes. If anyone wants it, I'd be happy to publicize it, though I can't maintain it since I lost the source to it. Hmmm... wonder if I should remake it and bring in some algebraic and geometric functions into it hmmm, bares some thought. When I try to go to the site chrome states that this site can't be reached. something about connection refused. I'm pretty sure that this has nothing to do with my firewall or antivirus program. Re: Swamp, zombie FPS by Aprone Just reporting a dodgy thing that just happened to me, but not asking or expecting anything to be done about it other than being fixed if possible in a future update. I decided to donate all the low and medium armour I had because I'll never use it and it was just cluttering up my inventory. When I logged back on, I wasn't wearing any armour, and when I went to put some on, half of my high armour was missing. Stuff that I didn't donate by mistake. Bit pissed off about the apronic belt and vest, but I can loot the other stuff. Also quite a few weapons are missing too. I definitely only donated armour, no weapons. I certainly won't be donating a bunch of stuff in future that's for sure. I have noticed before this happened that the inventory menu behaves strangely, in that things appear and disappear as you arrow up and down. Maybe this is what happened, I don't know. Anyway, I need to go do some serious looting. Some of my lady friends tell me they enjoy checking out posters of scantily clad boy bands or male sports stars, is this pornography? How about romance novels? What about fashion magazines which include clothing modelling, often in unclad positions, and how about art works such as nudes etc? Are we going to ban any film with a scene of sex between heterosexual people? How about sex therapists and instruction manuals, heck my lady and I read threw Alex Comfort's "the joy of sex" together as part of treating my genophobia, would this be pornography? What about text games like Flexible survival, or audio games like Jim kitchin's spanker? Even in so called professional "pornography" there is a pretty major difference between a couple who film themselves making love and put it on line, or those who willingly engage in sexual videos on a professional basis, (videos which are often used in an instructional way, and someone who has been forced to pose in front of a camera, or still worse, has had unpleasant things done to them in front of a camera which have then been shared for their humiliation.This latter sort, the sort of pornography which causes devastating harm to those involved in its production should definitely be criminalised both for users and especially for producers, but tarring all possible sexual material with the same brush seems like extreme overkill to me, especially in a digital age where use of human models to produce any sort of videos will likely soon become entirely unnecessary anyway. Clok has a fantastic wilderness survival system with detailed fire starting, cooking, as well as hunting, fishing, skinning, fletching, carving your own gear from wood etc, I was especially impressed myself at the need to visit the bath house on occasion you do visit the city . I've also heard good things about Lament and cursed lands in terms of wilderness survival and skills, though I've not really got too far with either of those.For more see Mirage's list of cooking and crafting based muds, along with the topic itself This is why I'd love to see a scifi game with these sorts of elements, since there's something about having to explore an alien planet and survive there that really appeals to me, especially if you have to take care of colonists in the process. It probably wouldn't be too hard to make a mudh like that using code from something like Empiremud I suspect, though it'd take some good and detailed writing and careful working out of systems.
