They are the most inaccessible menus I ever have seen. You need to move a cursor around like a mouse, and a selection sound is heard when the cursor lands on a menu. Because of that, I find the menus impossible to navigate.2. There is an accessibility menu. It mention voiced menus. The only thing they do is to say the following:Press A to access the lobby, and something like holding the view button to access the chat.Since I'm not able to navigate the menus at all, I'm not able to give any feedback on the gameplay, because I can't even start the game. Apex Legends would be a great title to have accessible, mainly because the game is free. If people then get a great accessibility experience, then they might buy other games which are accessible. Mason's servers do go down all the time, and he is slow in restoring them. Now I get that he has things to do, but when you charge for access, then you need to step up your game a tad and make sure that server is available most of the time, barring maintenance and the like. However, they're down so often, it's absurd. When I couldn't connect to SBYW, I had no leg to stand on, due to SBYW being a free game, but he was charging for premium features on that game as well for a time, so those people would have a right to say something.I'm hoping your position on this allows people to give honest customer reviews on their purchases, as long as they do it in a respectful way, and don't spout falsehoods to intentionally damage a developer's character. But, for so many here, finances are scarce, and if someone has a bad experience, I think it's important that others know about it too. I wouldn't want to see something minor turn into a boycott against a particular developer, however, if others are having similar issues, that information would be good to know when considering making a purchase. For me, something like $5 isn't an issue, for others though, it may be, and any information that people have to give, I feel should be accepted, as long as it's made constructively.This particular developer has a history of wavering on decisions to such an extent that I personally do not trust purchasing games from them in the future. I did pay $5 once for access to SBP, which has been recently updated. Back when this happened, the game was either taken down or made free very soon after, I can't recall which. I was rather irritated, not because of the sum of the cost, though I would have been more upset if it was $20 or $50; but more owing to the fact that the developer decided not to take into account the feelings of those who have paid for access's feelings on the subject and just do it. I feel that is not fair and it is not a good business practice. I will quote an excerpt now from this postmasonian wrote:OK and about the forum and the server. Re: Game servers now available chriss, In regards to the uncle susi cheat, you need to be running a slightly older ver of rtr client and server for that to work. You can either find it on the audiogames archive or i believe the rtr entry in the db still links to that ver. Maybe host two different servers for both? That ver also has the added advantage of being able to run on 32 bit machines, so it's more available to people with lower end hardware.Also, very slightly off topic, but it would be awesome if you could do an sbp stream on your youtube some time. Now the question is is there a way to write clean equations say in a Word document or is it is there a way to write equations and have them evaluated and do actual math processing on them?Option 1: I did all of the math in university with Word equations. This includes all reports, exams, assignments, practice and stuff. In a Word document, press alt + equals, this will pop-up an equation field. You can then start to type your equation, there are escape codes for pretty much all symbols. Jaws reads the equations pretty well. Two examples.Example #1: f(x) = x^2 + 2x + 31. Press alt + equals to open the equation field2. Type f(x)3. Notice that if you press shift + left arrow, you will select the closing parenthesis.4. Remove the selection and press space after the closing parenthesis. There is apparently no effect, but if you do shift + left arrow again, you will notice that you selected the whole (x) block. This is because parentheses allow you to do blocks in the equations. It's like if pressing space processes the last thing you entered.5. Type equals, then x^2.6. If you select three characters on the left, you will select x^2, however, if you press space and select one time to the left, you will notice that you chunked x^2 into a x with 2 as superscript. The caret symbol allows you to put stuff in superscript.7. Type plus, then 2x, then plus, then 3.Example #2: integral from x = 0 to T of log in base 2 of x1. Alt + equals2. We need the integral symbol, to do that write \int, many symbols can be summoned with the backslash sequence. Then press space to turn \int into the integral symbol.3. We want x=0 in subscript and T as superscript, so type _(x=0)^T, then space, this will place your cursor into the argument of the integral.4. Now we want log base 2 of something, type log_2, then space, it will put you in the argument of the log base 2.5. Type x.6. Remember that you are in the argument of the log base 2. If you press right arrow, you will be in the argument of the integral again, if you press right arrow again, you will be after the integral.This is just to give an idea, there is a ton of tips to write equations, but I did that for many years so I found out all of the tricks with trial and error.You can write pretty much anything, simple integrals, double triple integrals, fractions, superscripts, subscripts, logs, sums, symbols on top of other symbols, matrices of the size you want, logic symbols, set symbols, vectors and so on and so forth. The only symbol I never found was the implication sign, so I did => and never had issues with that.Option 2: You can do math with matlab. Matlab is a Java program built to do numeric calculations being specially eefficient with matrices. The program is not really accessible, but I got away with it by redirecting log output to a text file, writing my scripts in a text editor and only using matlab by pressing F5 to run the script, then examine the output in the text file that opened automatically.You can also use a Python interpreter. The package numpy is basically Matlab modules ported to Python. However, this will work pretty well with numeric calculations, but not with symbolic maths, where matlab while not being designed for that does a pretty good job with that. Python can do pretty much all numeric calculations though, it handles complex numbers, linear algebra and so on and so forth.Anyways, this is how I did it. I don't think it's free, but you can queue up files by right clicking on them and then click compare and the diff GUI appeared. The UI was not totally accessible as far as configuration and options goes, but I could use the shortcuts to jump from a diff to ther next. When I would press the key to find the next diff and would not move, I knew I was at the last one. There was also merge shortcuts when you wanted to merge conflicts into the document in the middle either from the left or from the right. There was also shortcut to jump from a document to another.Alternatively, Windows has a command line tool to do file comparison called fc with some options, but I mainly used it to do binary diffs, showing octets that would differ. I think it compares byte to byte and the position must match exactly in both files so it's good with two files that are very similar. Useful when you cannot see why two files are different or if you wanna make sure they are the same to the very byte level.There is also git diff, the diffing tool of git which is pretty good with text files. You can download git. Then use the command:git diff --no-index file1.txt file2.txtIt's gonna show you the diff between file1.txt and file2.txt. Lines with plus symbols at the start means they are present in file2.txt and not file1.txt, lines with minus symbol at the start means they existed in file1.txt and now do not exist in file2.txt. Lines with no symbol are present in both files. This tool will work pretty well with all text formats (.txt, .html, code files, .xml, every mark-up). This will not work well with Word documents or Office suite documents, GSuite documents, images, videos, only with text (which can be code). Re: So I bought a remote control for my computers The problem this remote has is it doesn't have an F1-F12 or home and end or page up and down buttons, but other than that, I cannot complain. The butons on this thing are fairly sized and the F and J buttons on the qwerty keyboard side are marked. Additionally, if you have the button facing up, the buttons on the underside are inactive. so you cannot accidentally press the spacebar on the underside if you're using the media/quick access side. Pretty nifty otherwise. Also,, it seems you can only press two buttons together at once. However I bought this largely for remote access for media and a few other random things. I can see it being useful while sitting at the drums and what not to start and stop recording in Reaper. Since it has ctrl, alt, and shift keys, it opens some optio0ns up for ya. doesn't have an applications key. but you can't have everything, I guess. lol. The whole thing about representing the blind community as a whole has merit, but it rubs me the wrong way because I was literally told by someone that, as a blind person, I have to be perfect. That's not hyperbole, that's what I was told point blank, so whenever I hear about how I should do this or that to be a posterchild for how the average blind person behaves, I recoil. I have enough standards that I fail to live up to, I don't need that piled on my head as well. Re: Epitaph Online I played this mud extensively a few years ago, and the combat was brutal to try and get through. especially when you're fighting multiple combatants! it gets really crazy!I enjoyed the atmosphere of the mud, and walking around the streets gave a real feeling of danger and that anything can pop out at you in a moments notice, and you'd be in battle again. But trying to progress with a job line / career and it just got to be too much effort for the return.I'd love to come back if combat was given a blind mode, or at least slowed down the number of rounds per second.
