It can be, but remember you can add parry cards and change your type during the battle if you need to avoid getting creamed by something that's super effective. Colossal Crushing can be incredibly powerful, especially if you combine it with a bunch of foot cards from ground and fighting. Oh, don't forget to throw in a Midnight Ring or two to boost your damage. That's just one of the many strategies you can employ. Look at the cards and experiment.

The thing is you have to enable those plugins every time you create a new world, and there are 2 most important ones, being mushreader and output functions. To enable then, hit control shift p to be taken to plugins list which should be empty, tab to add and hit enter to go to a standard file browser' where you can find and add the plugins I mentioned above which are likely in the plugins folder if you play any current mud with a mush soundpack. After they have been added to the once empty plugin list, just tab to enable and enable each one. And dont forget to save your world, think that can be done from one of the options you tab to within alt enter.

Yes, this would definitely be useful. As has been said, JGT has you covered in so far as Japanese is concerned. With an automatic clipboard reader, you wouldn't have to press nvda+C, and when using something like the NVDA translate addon as soon as it translated something and copied to the clipboard it would be read automatically which is far more useful than or just gaming. Not sure why this seems to be such a hard concept to grasp... lol

I am trying myself to work out dec building strategies, but it seems like an ongoing process, trying something, seeing if it works then tweaking it if it doesn't. I was trying to put together a  fairy psychic dec based around the idea of  confusion and sleep, but it was a total disaster, and while I'm very tempted to just pinch a deck design from someone else I'd rather  try and get it right myself if I can, since even though I have no interest in pvp and am primarily interested in just pounding bots solo or with others, I'd feel more satisfaction if I can actually build the decs myself. this has been the major reason I've not played the battle mode as much since multi element decs came into play, since making a single element dec wasn't too hard (I made several), but getting two elements to work in tandom is something I just couldn't get the hang of.

Spoilers, obviously.Huh, guess it is still there after all.The dart can I believe be used twice, I'm not sure how much initial damage it does, but of course weapon archetypes being weapon archetypes, it's poisoned. It seems to do quite a lot, and even works on bosses. Save it though, this game does not take it easy later...

JGT only handles Japanese though, and even then the game would technically need to require an NVDA output option. Some legacy games won't have that, maybe some developers don't use it too still. The Chinese audiogames don't seem to have NVDA output at all. On top of that, some new posts in the Sequence Storm topic imply that the developer may be looking into the clipboard as another way of giving information.

Wow just had a look, and yeah it does run on win 10. That is cool. I do remember something about a bug earlier, but I don't remember what happened as regards it, and I'm not sure if its related to the bar cheat or not, since whilst I used the bar cheat on my first playthrough back in 2006 when the game first came out, I don't think I discovered it until after those 10 fights, and when I played through the second time around I decided not to use the bar cheat after all.

found another little secret on chapter 1.if you go back to the deserted town after you beat the snake, you will find a butherfly. if you kill it, you will get a buterfly dart.i think ryan mentioned something about a butherfly dart before.don't have time to test it now, so... anyone knows how this weapon works? i think if it is a dart, i use it and then it's gone.

It's helpful for allowing blind players to translate the game's text into other languages as they play. It would just be a matter of outputting game text to the clipboard instead of speaking it through narration. It could also offer the opportunity for players to hear the game's narration through a voice of their choosing as opposed to being limited to sAPI voices.@87I only have one or two of the accessibility settings enabled. In my opinion, checking them out doesn't take too much away from the game experience at all, and I believe that, for the time being anyways, there are certain missions you might not be able to complete without any of the accessibility settings enabled at a certain point.@82SPOILERI managed a bronze medal on Virtual insanity for now. If I'm correct, the hallucinations are really strong on this one, and I believe they interfere with how your rig is operating. I think trying to use boost as much as you can might really help here. That was how I approached it anyways. I struggled a lot more with antiviral.

Turtlepower, there is no deck that will trump every other deck. There is no best-of-everything deck. There are strats that work well and strats that are just too clumsy to set up. There are decks that use good strategy and those which don't. Honestly, I'm pleased that you used my deck, and honestly am about to go use it to grab or at least look at the new cards released today. I don't mind sharing because this deck is not the be-all and end-all. Sometimes people need a little help getting set up.Most of my decks are about 65-70 cards, almost never more and only sometimes less. If you wish, I can also explain a sound deck, a rock-fighting deck, a dicemaster deck and a poison deck.

I think the idea is to build the deck that enables you to manipulate the battle so that things fall in your favor. But there are many ways to do that, so the purpose is narrowing it dowm to do it exactly as you intend.

First place to look could be places like [thingiverse] and various other 3D printing repo's, you could also look into conversion tools like [Trace2SCAD], or my own tool [ASCII-Mesh], if your into ascii art, though all those require access to a 3D printer or printing service. There also seems to be a company called [3D Photo Works] that specializes in tactile conversions of paintings with embedded sensors, though I'm not sure what their pricing is. There's an article about them [here]. Course, there's also things like pottery, statues, tapestries, needle point, etc. you can likely get through other places like art shops, amazon, ebay, etc.

Following. Are there any artists who do textured artwork? I have a tactile map of Shadesmar from the Brandon Sanderson novels I got from Lighthouse. It's matted and framed up nicely. Aside from maps, it would be neat to get some textured paintings, or tapistries/other embroidery that you can feel.

@85As explained, there are certain programs that keep track of when the text in the clipboard changes and speaks the text whenever it's updated. It's helpful for allowing blind players to translate the game's text into other languages as they play. It would just be a matter of outputting game text to the clipboard instead of speaking it through narration. It could also offer the opportunity for players to hear the game's narration through a voice of their choosing as opposed to being limited to sAPI voices.@87I only have one or two of the accessibility settings enabled. In my opinion, checking them out doesn't take too much away from the game experience at all, and I believe that, for the time being anyways, there are certain missions you might not be able to complete without any of the accessibility settings enabled at a certain point.@82SPOILERI managed a bronze medal on Virtual insanity for now. If I'm correct, the hallucinations are really strong on this one, and I believe they interfere with how your rig is operating. I think trying to use boost as much as you can might really help here. That was how I approached it anyways. I struggled a lot more with antivirus.

First of all, loving the game so far.Second, good news for @Dark and everyone else who is having issues with Steam.You can download the latest version of the demo hereAnd it looks like Steam itself is finally! slowly but surely rolling out accessible interface updates. The chat features were the first to become accessible, and word has it that the library is to be converted next. The thing will play out like a web page, they just need to make sure to make it keyboard friendly, though if it uses mouse navigation I guess that isn't an immediate show stopper as long as the text is clearly readable with standard navigation keys.

Assuming you've downloaded Python proper and are already familiar with it, WxPython is an accessible GUI library, but not completely, requiring frequent trial and error troubleshooting. If you've had problems getting it working, you could try posting the traceback and we could try troubleshooting it. Other libraries you could try out are Pygame, Pyglet, or possibly some of the more recent versions of PyQT. They seem to have approached it from a whimsical athetics view rather than from accessibility, which is fairly evident from their GDC talk [here] where they blow off the idea of it even being possible. They should consider looking into filtered sonified depthmapping for spacial navigation and object isolation, or some of the design conventions from many of the audiogames here. It would be interesting if they could create a new character based on those systems that could be fully accessible.

I didn't have any issues with Welcome to Daemon Space. Got gold on normal and challenge modes. What is a little problematic is bonus objectives for some of these missions, as there's no way to tell where rivals are in relation to your rig. I'm also having issues obtaining high accuracy. it's always around 90% no matter how perfect my timing is when hitting notes. I did try messing with the settings, however I haven't messed around with accessibility ones as I wish to have as much of an authentic experience as possible, only the ones that control ms. Did no good. I wonder if there's like a detection issue in accessible modes? be great if dev could check into that.

Clipboard narration is literally just sending the game's text to the clipboard. There are certain programs that will let screen readers automatically read the content of the clipboard when it changes.

I haven't gotten as far as Virtual Insanity as far as evaluating how it works in the audio modes.In welcome to daemon space, the rivals behave differently in that they actually purposefully try to ram into you, so you do need to manually steer around them. I think this objective might be very tricky to do by ear.

The new sounds for streams and the autopilot feature are incredibly helpful. I can't figure out how to get the bonus objective for welcome to Daemon Space though, since I think the autopilot is still colliding with other vehicles or the edges of the track and there's still no way to know where the other cars are before boosting or how close to the edge of the track you are.

I admit, mine sounds rather pathetic in comparison but, here goes:I'm not a big fan of water, or swimming. I used to love swimming, though I've never, even to this day, mastered swimming without a floatation device of some kind.So anyway, I was on holiday in the pool, which was one of those ones that was shallow at one end, deep at the other end.I was standing in the water and it was around up to my chest, about half way to the neck.As is the case in all good horror moovies, I slipped because the water had a very slight current towards the deep end. Nothing major, it just was that the filters were at that end.So, down I went. thinking back on it, it was a hollywood worthy performance, all flailing arms, splashing legs, and bobbing about.I actually managed, somehow, to surface once before going back under again. I just remember surfacing, going, "no!" and then sinking again.Thankfully, one of my mothers friends was in the pool and lifted me above the surface within about ten or so seconds of me going under.Heh. Suppose that explains why I hate water.That's probably the scariest experience I've had.

Okay, here are a few general tips.1. Keep your deck to 80 or less cards. The minimum required cards in your deck is 40, and the maximum is 80. Any amount over 80 will result in random cards being omitted, and anything below 40 will result in idleness cards which are very very bad. I recommend sticking between 40 to 60. Yeah, I think a co-op decks database would be fun. I definitely get what you're saying, though, especially as someone who really does suck at building decks. My problem is that there are just so many cards that I get overwhelmed, and when I begin to think about making a deck, I just start cramming everything that looks good into it, which means I end up with decks with over a hundred cards. I know it's bad, I try to curb that habit, but when I see the sheer amount of cards, my head starts spinning and the cycle just repeats itself.

@turtlepower There're both upsides and downsides to that, I think. Upside being the obvious, it helps newbies or people who just plain suck at building decks... downside being of course they'll probably be used a lot... but that also means if you realize what they're doing, you might be able to counter it somehow if you have the right cards. Although I guess just because you know a train's coming doesn't mean you can stop it. Something I could definitely see being good though is a co-op battle deck database, for those of us not really interested in PVP and just like kicking the crap out of bots with other people.

My only issue with having a Dropbox folder or similar available where people can swap decks and such is that everyone might start all using the exact same decks. This is why, as much as I wish a resource were available to help me fit the most effective types and cards into workable decks, since I'm stupid and can't figure it out myself, in the end it's not worth it. If everyone went around sharing this stuff, battle wouldn't be any fun, because you couldn't take a target by surprise. Everyone would know what strategy is the most popular, and all the noobs would just parrot the popular strategy without really understanding it. Hell, I'll admit to having made a dark/bug deck exactly as Jade said above, and it worked really well to get the new cards that were released in the beta today. However, I feel it's wrong to use that deck because, A. it wasn't my idea, and B. I figure everyone's going to use it now since it was so clearly laid out how it works.

well, installers usually have command line switches. Try typing filename.exe /? to see the commands. Alternatively, get yourself a vm and try installing the software on it, and write down the keystrokes required (use shortcuts). I have no idea how sapi should be realised, but maybe winetricks?

@95 my own testing has shown that NVDA prevents them from working; I'm not yet sure how to solve this but providing an accessible alternative is on my list of issues to resolve.

@ironcross32Not to take something basic into consideration.Such as.Well I don't know...Sexual orientation.See that is something, that requires more than 2 brain cells to understand.just like @13 points out, just because shes female and he's male doesn't automatically mean that he's inlove with him.But back to my original point.I just said it was interesting, to think about, that if it was a female (asuming Heterosexuality) that asked about a male YouTuber, no one would had brought up, a question (or joke) about a romantic interest in said YouTuber.

Hello.  I can post now.  Thank you.  I'm sorry that I haven't had enough time to respond to all of the feedback that I've gotten.I should clarify that there are no holds in the audible versions of the game.  I still haven't figured out how that might work.Also, just so you know, the game is going to go on sale soon.

That’s basically just a stereotype. It’s like saying that all South Africans can speak every single language ever spoken in South Africa, when I can only speak English and Afrikaans. Terrible example, but an example nonetheless. Just because I am mail and she is female does not mean that I have any sort of romantic feelings towards her.  You’re going to need way more than two brain cells if you wanted to find out if someone had a crush on someone else. There is a lot more factors involved in that you know?
