@JaceK, from what I've determined, charge equals the total time your spinner keeps spinning. I'm not sure how much charge and health are related though I do think there is some relation. Usually my technique is aim for the center and max charge, then keep tapping right arrow to advance on and attack my opponent, whilst tapping up or down as balance requires.Before i won all the awesome rare plus gear, I usually just equipped stuff with lots of repelle and damage, and won half of my victories by knocking my opponent off the side, indeed if your good at adjusting balance you don't need to worry too much about gear with negative stability. There was one game when fighting someone with lots of super rare gear which I won by damage and retreat, since he had so much stability I couldn't knock him off, but most of the time that's less necessary. I'll be interested to see if we get any new mechanics, or new parts that change the playing experience.

It really cocks up the plan a little bit when you're hitting for half damage and don't have screens of your own or a way to kill the thing quickly before it gets the chance to set them up.

There are easy ways to have things validated.If the administration of STW is okay with this sort of transaction, and if it's a hundred bucks U.S. that's at stake, why not just ask them to help oversee the transaction and verify on the game side that what was promised is what's being given?Honestly, I actually think the topic creator is at some sort of risk, since depending on how things went, he could dump his inventory and then get all kinds of excuses about why money couldn't be transferred to him in exchange.There are plenty of reasons this might not work, but if buyer and seller work together - you know, because they have mutual need? - then I see no reason why it couldn't be worked out.

The thing is that Sam also gets money from players who purchase something, but those are waaay less dollars. And who knows if he is honest when you ask for what's inside? We can't check if it's true what he says, and we can't even ask for return because let's take that he says, in my inventory there are 40 dfcs. When you get the thing, there are only 10, and if you tell him like hey, it's not what you said, he'll say you might have used them so of course only 10 remained, so he can laugh out loud at you. I wouldn't trust this, honestly. I can't even believe someone does...

If we can collate what everyone wants into a list of "tags" per say it would make organizing the information much easier in a database as well on the backend. You could go without a database and just use flat files but then you lose all the extra features of an RDBMS.

@5, you need to do systemctl start dhcpcd, not dhcpcd on its own. Running a daemon without executing the unit file to make it run properly will usually not accomplish anything other than tying your terminal to that process (unless you run it with & at the end, which has its own problems), and you only have 6 terminals available by default (though you can have up to 63 if you happen to have a keyboard with 63 function keys).I would not recommend arch Linux as a starter Linux distribution. Its probably one of the furthest distributions from "newbie friendly" available (besides Gentoo and LFS -- and LFS isn't really a distribution, per see). Use something like Ubuntu Mate, Xubuntu, or Debian if your new to Linux, not Arch.

Man I totally get you; I've had them all day and it's been driving me crazy. They finally cleared up though, but still. I get them worse during the spring than any other time of the year. I'm also allergic to Bactrim, which is basically an antibiotic for Sinus infections. Unfortunately for me, when I had to take it, I had a really bad sinus infection which kept me bedridden for about a week. After the sinus infection part was over, I broke out in hives thanks to the Bactrim medicine. I had to go on a bunch of steroids for the next week. This meant I was out of commission for two weeks. Thank you very much, allergies.

I sit here at 1:04 a m writing this completely pointless rant against alergies. Fuck them, and fuck what ever little bit of dna caused them to exist among us humans! This is not the first time they have caused me to lose about a night of sleep. Fucked up throte, nose that no matter how many times you empty it in to the only fucking thing available that can even constitute as something resembling a tishu (a thick, ruf napkin) never seems to empty, all of this causing me to drink water as if I actually like it's taste., oh, and never mind it gets in the way of my recording stuff for projects. I haven't yet found anything, but the move is...really not all that useful. It doesn't even do damage. Pokémon's Brick Break is a 75-power fighting move that shatters Light Screen and Reflect. Screen Shatter is just a niche move that only a handful of manamon even have access to.

With talkingarch, you'll be dropped into a command shell. From here, you'll need to set up things if you want a desktop.  Their are distributions that come set up with a desktop, have a look at ubuntu mate, or debian.I did try this, however, dhcpcd doesn't seem to work, as typing it gives me that the unit file isn't found.  This is running on vmware player, with the network set to share the hosts ip.

@10: No, that's the problem, you can't, as far as I know, do it that way.If you want to save a whole class, though not the fastest solution, the serializer is a safe bet.Plus, the binary approach is, though significantly faster, verry low level. Imagine you can't save but a single field or property at any given time. In this case, every class should have, say, a save method that would gather the needed data and save it. Then, a load method would perform the oposite, loading the data in a specific way(see the post before yours), then initialise the class with it, doesn't it sound abit BGT-ish to you?Saving with a binary stream can, in my opinion, come in handy when you need to save a verry small amount of data like player name, level, location as well as the number of the current map, etc because the other factors are known, random, etc. This way, you actually simplify the save as well as improving performance and file size.So, the method you choose greatly depends on the size of the data you deal with:if you find a small portion crucial for the game to run, use the second option.In contrast, if you find your self needing a huge object saved entirely for the game to work like, I assume, in minecraft, then use the serializer, though this may verry well be a design problem, to need such an object, that is.The golden rule here is, save only as much as you need and try to save as little as possible for obvious performance reasons.btw, sorry for going abit oftopic here, but you know how it is, once you start writing, you can't ever stop lol.

See that bit about having limited access to the y is what I'm referring to when I talk about games like streets of rage being 2.5d, and I have read numerous times of these beat em ups being referred to as such, else I wouldn't be making such a statement. I have also heard of 2d games with 3d graphics being referred to as 2.5d, though such occurrences are more rare so it slipped my mind. And I just asked my sighted brother about a game that allows you to jump into the background while being 2d, in particular fatal fury, and he immediately told me that's 2.5d.I think that the reason we associate the movements with the perspectives is because they are often associated with those perspectives. Indeed there are games with a third person perspective that play like a first person game.

Yours is the first such issue I've seen. Dozens of people did this puzzle before you (myself six times with no problem). This doesn't mean you're wrong, but I imagine that whatever you experienced would be awfully hard to reproduce.Some of those ladders are really close together. I wonder if perhaps you simply missed or double-clicked a switch. After all, you can turn the switches off again after hitting them, so that might've been what happened. It can be easy to get turned around, go back in to an area you've already been in, hit a switch you've already hit, thinking that that was your first interaction with it.I frankly don't know what happened in your case, but I'm glad it's resolved anyway.

There's quite a bit of misunderstanding in this thread!But first about how to talk to sighted gamers about this stuff. Don't talk about movement. The movement is secondary from and results from the camera angles. That's what these different things are, different camera angles.In first person the camera is located inside the character's head. It's impossible for the camera to face in a different direction to character.In third person the camera is detached from the character and floating ten feet or so behind their head. It is usually possible for the camera to face a different direction to the character, as the character turns to face the direction you're moving them in, while the camera doesn't rotate unless you rotate it manually using the right stick."Simple movement: up down left right" is top-down camera, the camera directly above the character looking down at the top of their head. "2.5d" does not mean being able to move in and out of the screen. It is a purely visual effect. It means a 2d game with 3d visuals.That's a hard thing to explain, but I'll try. Here's the thing. You can have a good old-fashioned discussion about whether or not the guy should've declared what he was selling up front, but his not doing so doesn't mean he's dodgy, especially if he has said that he will provide details upon request.Given that the inventory list is apparently very long and cluttered, it strikes me that the only people who really need to see it are people who are seriously interested in spending a hundred bucks for it. This will weed out most folks, and will stop the rest of us from maybe having to wade through a ton of info we don't want. So long as the info is available to those who ask, I see no problem with this.

The movement is secondary from and results from the camera angles. That's what these different things are, different camera angles.In first person the camera is located inside the character's head. It's impossible for the camera to face in a different direction to character.In third person the camera is floating ten feet or so behind the head of the character. It is usually possible for the camera to face a different direction to the character, as the character turns to face the direction you're moving them in while the camera doesn't rotate unless you rotate it manually using the right stick."Up down left right" is top-down camera, the camera directly above the character looking down at the top of their head. Happy new year all. I want to come on here really quickly  to make an announcement regarding my ringing in 20 20 new years marathon stream  and what it's about.first of all, it was going to be next week but I have a dentist appointment and I will be in a lot of pain, and my health comes first. The new date will be Saturday January 18th.Second of all, my goal for the stream is to at the end by the end of that week give between 10 and 20 percent of all donations either by patreon or through streamlabs (I don't know how to do the bits on twitch) will go to the rain springs dental group in Las Vegas. I go to this group, and hey have helped me so much, I want to try and help someone there at random. If this is a success this year I want to every so often do this for them, maybe once a year.We will have everything from video games, to flight simming, some sequence storm and some, pickled garlic. There will be a give away of the sequence storm sound track, and the game itself.time stream will start  assuming all equipment is working: 11:00 am PST, 19:00 utcplace to tune in: twitch.tv/ke7zumI will also put this on my patreon thing as well. I'd honestly be amazed if this sort of thing would be allowed. The rules don't specifically say it wouldn't be, but $100 for inventory in a game, a game which already has paid upgrades mind you? Na, I don't think so, and I'd seriously question anyone who'd buy this. There are so many things you could buy with that money that would actually be useful to you in your daily life. I think you should have seriously thought about this before posting the topic, at least acted somewhat professional and posted what you're charging this amount of money for.

Jaide, I would agree with your post, but I do have a problem with it, or rather, the first post.If this would have been something like a 10 to 20 dollar purchase of an inventory, well good, I don't give two Dongs about what's inside.but 100 dollars is quite the hefty amound of money, especially given that most of the forum users on here are under the legal age to make transactions on their own and require there parents or other legal figures to make the transaction for them.And if a potential buyer tells them that he wants to purchase ingame items for 100 dollars but doesn't actually know what's in the package, this doesn't seam right to me.So, regarding the high price tag on  this inventory which is only available for one game and contains items which are depleted one day, if the game isn't shut down before that date, my opinion still stands, OP should make public what the exact contence of the inventory is.Greetings Moritz.

For the record, I did manage to get past that stupid floor 7 thing on Ascendance Path, but it is a bug of some sort because I did it several times correctly and it didn't work, and I don't know if it was closing the game out and opening it later or leaving the floor and coming back to it that fixed it, because I did both, but once I did that, the same thing I was doing before worked perfectly. So, while it does work, you can't just assume that if it doesn't work, it's user error. As to how to reproduce it, I have no idea, but something did go wonky there.That said, once I completed that, the rest was gravy, and I wasted Mercilla in the master stadium. Now just have the postgame stuff, unless I do it with another team after another playthrough, which I may do, but I will still see if I can catch some decent breedable creatures to use in my new team.

There is no desire to hide or obscure anything.2. While this individual is asking for RL currency, a willingness to tell you what you'd be getting implies that no, this is not, in fact, like a lootbox. Please do not characterize it this way, as doing so leads to unearned mistrust.3. If the topic creator owns their inventory, and has the legal right to commit to this transaction, then it is up to them and any potential buyer as to the terms of this agreement. However, it would be imperative to check STW's rules to see if this sort of commerce is even legal.4. Once you're given stuff, you have the right to do with it as you will, provided there is no legally binding contract. If I was playing AA and someone gave me 100k gold, and I then wanted to sell that gold for RL currency (I know this wouldn't actually work, BTW, just bear with me), that's my right. Regifting is something people do. Just because person 1 gave you a gift once upon a time does not mean they're obligated either to give that stuff back to you, or to hold onto it for all time. Once you, as a gift-giver, relinquish control of a resource, the rights to that resource are no longer yours and you no longer have any real right to object.So yeah. My best advice is this. If you don't want to buy this package of STW inventory, no one's got a gun to your head. If you have other problems, that's well and good. But please don't make this out to be a scam when anyone who's apt to spend a hundred bucks is very likely to ask and then be given details on what exactly they're buying.

I've actually started a separate topic dedicated to a guide, and written down what I know. Forza Motorsport 7 menu and game guide, anyone interested in helping

Hi all,I've been thinking about possibly helping other blind gamers by somehow creating a sort of menu guide for Forza 7. However, I am going to need help, as the menu can be a little complex at points, as some of them are sort of grids, and there's some I don't even know what they are at all.Here is what I know so far.This assumes that you've purchased Forza Motorsport 7 VIP (one time payment) and that you have the free addons for all players.When the game first starts, and you've got everything installed, the first thing you hear is the intro. However, as this happens, your data syncs, and if you have the addons, something unexpected happened to me, you are probably going to suddenly start unlocking achievements out of nowhere. The most unexpected? You will reach car collector tier 3 at this point if you install all the free packs. and you may unlock driver suits, although that one might happen later.A different voice will then welcome you, and here and there, the voice talks but only at one-off moments and one-time. But it does talk at several moments.The first thing it asks you, is to make a choice, who are you.If you wait, the first thing you'll hear, is a click. This is a left right, non-wrapping menu. This asks you to choose your gender.Left is male, right is female.Make your choice, then tap A, it will immediately take you to the next screen.Here, you pick your first driver gear. At this time, you'll have three options. Just pick any, as right now, I have forgotten the colours.You will then be in a section with three choices. I'd recommend the bottom one as it will allow configuration. The one on the left is driver's cup, one on the right is multiplayer, and the one at the bottom, which I recommend, is "continue to main menu", the voice tells you it's explore at your own pace. Click the bottom one.You'll then get a ton of rewards, your VIP status message, followed by, I think, your tier level, and then you'll be in a men that is a left/right menu letting you redeem all of the addons. Just click each one, the option goes away immediately as you click. It makes little clicky noises as they are added to the garridge. Once this happens, you end up hearing your tier go up once all of these re redeemed. You'll probably reach tier 4 at this point, which, I'm going to be honest, is utterly hilarious, as from what I'm hearing, getting to tier 5 when the game was first released, was a bit of a grind, yet with these addons, we're now part of the way there.Eventually you hit the main menu.Now, this is where I'm going to need help with the guide, however I can describe the bits that I know.You can get to options by going all the way to the right and then tapping left once, and clicking. Tap right on the next menu to get to audio options.Note: I might get the order of some of these wrong, so could someone please correct me?A is save changes, B is back without saving, Y is switch to defaults. There's the following settings:Game master volumeOpponent car volumeTire volumeImpact volumeUI volumeMenu music: default is dynamic. Off, on, dynamicMenu music volumeThere's two more music setting types and volume levels options in here but unfortunately I do not remember the names. One of them was in-race music and the other, I don't remember and I don't remember the order. Same thing applies though, first thing is type, second option is volume.You can then tap A when you are done and then just keep going back with B.The top left is the Forza Driver's cup. Make sure you have some time on your hands when you click this option as you are going to be presented with an intro and then put straight into three races with little intros between each. When you get to the first race, you are going to want to change your assists. This can be done on the pause menu. Unfortunately, I do not remember the steps to get to the assist menu from here, but once you find it, the first option is global assist setting. You can set this to super easy by going all the way to the left, which will set all the options to their maximum value. You can go down in this menu and make sure everything is set to the left most value if you want an easy time of racing. When you are done, remember to press A, *not* B, otherwise you will not save your assists.Then, find resume and then start racing. If it's on super easy you can hold down right trigger to accellerate and the game should start turning for you. You'll know because you, hopefully, won't start getting stuck. The car will keep on shifting and changing gears as various things start to happen on track. If anone has any racing or even assist tips here, please post them.For the rest of the guide, I am going to need help.

I am using the default set up for the Xbox one controller. I am wondering what button do I need to press to change the difficulty of the Atari 2600?I know on the actual console there was a switch that you would do that with.
