Re: Looking for a new mud to play Just realized I had this failed attempt at a class. Anyone here have experience with trainers? the mechanic of using certain weaknesses to break a target is fun. Having to find these weaknesses through spamming an ability on a long cooldown to pray you get useful information on monsters you ahve a candle light of taming? Uh, no. Also what's recommended as a secondary and stats fo rit? I get a vague sense that since the minions do msot of the work, survivability and hp was probably the most important. Not really a point to shoot for damage buffs, unless the class self-buffs and attacks on its own. Not many options for that though. I haven't studied as much as I should which is why I only have the B instead of the A, but I don't care enough to spend so many hours unless it becomes necessary. My strategy is to get the book and find some problems, and then I see how they did it, try it, and if I get one right I try another, and then I look to see if I got the second one I tried right. See, try, try, see. If I find that I'm not sure about the first or second example, or I find that I got it wrong when I tried it out, I go back to the book. If the book still doesn't help me get it, I leave it for now and come back later, refreshed. I then incorporate resources like Khan academy if I still don't get it. I had to get Khan academy to explain the chain rule to me again in order to understand implicit dif, and after I did that I tried and completed my first problem successfully! I think it also takes the determination: in the case of math, I know that there is definitely, 100%, for sure a way -- if there wasn't, it wouldn't have been written down definitively and I wouldn't be having to recreate it. It's one of the few things I, a self-proclaimed pessimist, can think 100% positively about. No, this is not a fighting game, you can call it beat em up though, the diffrence is, beat em up would usually put you in one stage and make you fight endless enemy, (the good example of this is the bloodrain and battlezone), while fighting game, it will make you fight one by one or 2 by 2 in a stage, where you will trade blows, do some combos and something like that until one of you KO.2. currently TBH I don't see anything special, overly used sounds, space mashing, small map, weapon only doing diffrent damage, and usual items.3. The majority of my relationships, including my current one, have been with blind partners, but that wasn't because I was systematically eliminating sighted folks from my dating pool. To be honest, in the area that I live in, a lot of sighted people are just not what I would consider to be attractive. It amazed me a few weeks back what a difference about 25 miles could make in terms of the attitudes of people, but I digress. The things that draw me to a person, i.e. a great sense of humor, genuine empathy, experiences which may be considered outside the norm, whether cultural, or just a quirky way of viewing the world, plus certain physical attributes, would exist just as well in a sighted person as they would in a blind one. So, my lack of sighted partners isn't because ew, sighted people have cooties, or some such nonsense, rather, a manifestation of the crappy experiences I've had with people in general where I live, and the fact that it is just plain easier sometimes to skip all the formalities, and connect with another blind person without having to do the whole song and dance of, "how do you do X, Y and Z?" Is there such a major difference between blind and sighted people that you think there is a thing it is to "be blind" and a thing there is to "be sighted." Yes, there are problems in finding! a partner if your blind, (slightly more so if you're male I think), but this is a much different matter to the actual question involved. Likewise, there are trends among groups of blind people that are undoubtedly offputting and would make relationships difficult, EG institutionalised blind people, or just the fact that the vast majority of blind people are over 70, but the same could be said for sighted people too, since there are definitely groups of sighted people who would make a relationship difficult, (I doubt a raging psychopath would make for an ideal spouse either).Myself, I didn't have a set preference, but up until I met my lady I sort of assumed I'd end up with someone sighted simply because other than online, I just plane didn't interact with many blind people, as most specifically "blind" events or organisations were not with people my age, and those few that were, tended to be heavily institutionalised or very cliquey. When I met my lady however, the fact that she was blind just didn't really matter. I'm also interested Jaiden in what you say about "blind girls trying to be like a sighted girl." What I'm not completely sure of is just exactly how the vulnerability of certain demographics is being exploited by COVID19, and I'm fairly certain it's safe to say there isn't enough data to support a sufficient claim about such a thing at present. New information about the virus is becoming available daily, so what was said today very well could be a different story tomorrow. So, bear that in mind before you make statements such as, "it's not as a, b, c, or d as x, y, or z." I'm still uncertain of this strong tendency to compare this to other things, but I suppose I'll have to just let that go as this thread continues on. Re: Declining Mental Health, Do You Need to Vent? So for everyone who are feeling sad, or lonely or something, my best advice would be to pick up a hobby. Do something you alwways wanted to do. I think for a good chunk of people, its the thought of having to stay home that's actually eating them up. Meaning to say, some of you already used to be home all the time, but just being limited and confined to your houses that's messing with you. Don't be a prisoner in your own home. Do something. Watch an old TV show, learn a new language, if you're in school like me do little exercises to stay sharp. Don't go dull. You never know when school or work could start back to function fully. I hope some one of you got even a micrograin of value from that post. It was worse in the sense that it had a higher death rate, however this virus is devistating in the sense that due to its higher transmission rate, and ability to survive in humans, its able to cause more economic, social, and environmental effects. As for the latter, its seemed to do a little good for it, as global pollution rate has dropped, however since China is a major producer of Solar Pannels the push to more renewable energy is halted. I tend to have this problem of leaving out data. But I have done my research mind you, its just lazyness on my part.One thing I have to say however, Corona virus isn't as deadly as past viruses, it doesn't imobalise the entire global population, but the devistating thing about it is how easy its to spread to people who are vonerable. There is a lot I'd like to address in each post, but I simply don't have the motivation to draft such a response. I do, however, feel compelled to pop back in and just recognize the responses received. This situation is certainly taking its toll on everybody in way or another, and I firmly believe we should do our best to help ourselves and others. One day, this will be a thing of the past, but I hope humanity as a whole has learned a lot from all of this. Certainly not, England still has a crappy attitude to blind people, all the crappier since we inadvertently moved to a small town in 2016 where there are even fewer people I know than where I was before, and where my parents' proximity often does more harm than good. Yet now, all of a sudden, everyone! is talking of "the evils of isolation", I have had more phone calls from long distance friends in the past few weeks than I had for years previously, since up to now it's always been me! who has had to contact them!Even with my parents, ironically conversations via phone have actually significantly improved things between us (mostly because my mum is no longer able to try and fix my life in the way she thinks best). And the irony is, we're probably on the extreme end of isolation, since with my lady recovering from cancer, she's on the at risk list, so we're being extra careful, not leaving the house at all, taking in delivery parcels with latex gloves, indeed the only time we go out of the front door is to walk the dogs, and even that we only do at ungodly hours of the morning. Yet, oddly enough I'm feeling great! Am getting more creative work done, for the db and otherwise, and am trying to volunteer for the NHS to sign up to be a companion at long distance for others. Of course, this is not to just say "well I'm okay, sod everyone else", however, I do find it amusing that so many people, now faced with the life that a combination of society and my own ptsd forced me to live for a significant amount of time, just are not coping half as well. I've been thinking that hopefully, if some good is to come out of this pretty awful situation, perhaps people will cut back a bit of the factionalism and flag waving which has dominated culture for the past five or ten years, and realise that everyone actually is on the same planet and it might be good to be nice to people for a change. Perhaps, as part of this realisation, a little social isolation might also help society remember those who have been isolated long before Corona. I suppose it's a tall order, but one can but hope. Of course, if I can do anything to help people struggling with social isolation, I'd be glad to. I'm always around the forum, and anyone who wants to chat is welcome to give me a ping. The solution: The Omega Shooter. Early game enemies have little to no defense against bullet damage, and you fire an infinite swarm of rapid fire bullets at least something like 3000 base, shooting up to 4500 and then 12000? after the two scope upgrades. I jumped into vio mode randomly just to see what it was about and that was clearing levels easily enough. though gettable on one's first playthrough, grinding 1000 minishooters is a pain in the ass. But if you decide to hop up to bio early, it'll let you kill and farm all the high exp rewards for a good while and level up to the difficulty. Anyone who claims otherwise is ignorant on the things we have the capability of doing.Jayde, poisoning water supplies, bombing, etc etc, are very visible ways of killing people, and aren't very effective, as they only effect people in the bomb's radius or the drinkers of the supply. A virus really does make sense to wipe out a part of the population, or all of it, and wouldn't be traceable to anyone, and would cover for you if you failed to achieve your goal. The fact of the matter is, this exact coronavirus hasn't been seen outside the infected people, only viruses partially similar to it. And the original sars pandemic could have been a test drive for perfecting a coronavirus weapon. So you really blame that person for your own mistakes? If you don't have a propper system to see if users have 3 warnings, then you can't blame the actuall users for doing that. Hmm, I don't know.The arrangement can be different from one track to another.Each track has its own characteristics and uniqueness.That is because the map of each track is based on a map of the actual tracks in the real world.A few tips from me:when you do a test, then your driver gives advice to reduce or increase points in one part of the car, try to decrease or increase 10 points.The difference will be very drastic.But remember, you have to keep trying until you get the fastest time.For example, I have to try to the limit of the last experiment, which is 6 times.Until finally I was able to get my best lap time. While I can't, and shouldn't, go too deep into my own personal struggles due to this outbreak, crushing though they are, in a public space, I have to say that I appreciate that someone took the time to step up and make this kind of support a reality.The paradox here is that everyone is going through the same thing. One person's unbearable circumstance is another's dream, particularly pertaining to the physical act of isolation. I would hope that, when the dust settles and life begins to go back to normal, this has at least taught the general public that mental health struggles are real. On the flip side of that coin, I, for one, feel that, since everyone is going through the same anxiety, uncertainty, and disruption of daily activities, is it really fair to burden anyone with your own thoughts? By that, I mean people like psychologists, therapists, and crisis hotline workers. They're human, too, and I can imagine that they are under enormous strain right now, not only due to lost revenue because clients can't come to them anymore, but also because they, too, could lose a family member or friend at any moment. They, too, are in their houses going stir crazy. So it's like, well shit, what now? You can still slice away at an enemy while it's in the middle of dying.3. Interestingly, there's an article [here] about a local who did some research into the incident from publicly available records to trace the origins of the virus.The virus has been sequenced and shows no signs of alteration, not engineered. Second, its been identified as a Bat Coronavirus, matching 96% to a known coronavirus found in Horseshoe Bats in Yunnan, which live 900 kilometers from the Wuhan market. The seafood markets in Wuhan do not sell bats, but may have had animals who were in contact with bats. Now the funny thing here is Wuhan has two virology labs, The Wuhan Center for Disease Control & Prevention, 280 meters from the market, and the Wuhan Institute of Virology, 12 kilometers from the market, both of them were collecting and studying bat based coronaviruses to prevent future pandemics, and listing job postings about it just before the oubreak.Now, its hard to say whether the labs had anything to do with it, and I definitely don't think they would do anything like this on purpose. But its possible a lab worker could have gotten accidentally infected, as they were apparently working with the viruses under BioHazard Level 2 which doesn't offer much protection, or maybe an animal came into contact in the market, or waste was improperly disposed of, etc. Its difficult to say without more data, though the WHO had traced the original SARS outbreak to a series of leaks out of the Chinese Institute of Virology in Beijing.Needless to say, if this were true it may not reflect well on China, so they may be a bit sensitive on the subject. Frankly I don't care for playing the blame game, it doesn't solve anything. It sucks, but at least it may prove to be a good learning experience so we can do better if it happens again. Re: (PART 3 finale) Final Fantasy 7 Remake playthrough, narrated hi, @Targor, yeah it was totally over the top, I think it even ripped through and destroyed planets on its way through space, but yet some how the party could survive, obviously wearing some seriously good armour that day @Garr, knights of the round was a pretty epic cut scene, it was one of those you could almost go make a cup of tea whilst the cut scene played out and still make it back with the cup of tea in hand before the thing had played out I think the longest of all cut scenes though is ‘Eden’, although I’m not sure if that was from final fantasy 7 or one of the later games. As for the weapon battles, those were pretty epic, I remember the first time I bumped into one I got totally destroyed!@gorilla, I know what you mean about the cut scenes, although they were long you never really thought about it whilst playing, I think part of the fascination of the final fantasy games was wanting to see the new cut scenes/summons in each game, since although they probably look dated now, back in the day they looked amazing and were something to marvel at, plus I think from memory you could skip the cut scenes if you wanted, so you didn’t have to watch them every time. For me, Final fantasy 7 was one of the first really detailed RPG’s I played. Although again it might seem slightly dated these days, but I just loved the story and how well they had worked the characters, so you felt a real connection with all the characters and each of their individual story’s. I also loved the concept of such a huge world which you were free to roam around, choosing to either follow the storyline or just head off finding tons of side quests and grinding out battles. I know this is common in most games these days, but back then those types of games were few and far between. in fact I might even go as far as to say it was probably one of the biggest games on console in its day, I think it was either 3 or four disks in size,, which was huge back then. .
