Re: question about android tv sticks

It's accessible.  I got one when I signed up for Youtube tv.  Talkback runs well and for the major apps (YTV, Netflix, Dizney Plus, Hulu) it works eh ok.  I still think the Apple TV is the smoothest and best experience, but you wont' go wrong for $50 with a chromecast with TV.

Re: Instapot experiences?

Re: Instapot experiences?

When using the instant pot, I have never used any of the presets.  I only use the arrows, the saute, and of course the manual buttons.  The neat thing about the instant pot duo nova is that it will remember your cook time; set it for six minutes last time? press manual and it's on six minutes still.  Every recipe I have encountered cooks at high pressure.  As a side note, I've made everything from a chocolate lava cake to a meatloaf and mashed potatoes to hard boiled eggs in mine.  They are versatile and one of my favorite appliances. As for flipping things, for chicken breasts and a good non-stick pan plus a tiny amount of olive oil I won't even use a spatula to flip things.  I'll just reach in and flip it over.  Same with french toast, thicker pork chops, and a well put together berger patty. One thing that I've started using the past six or so weeks because I wanted more variety in my meals (I got bored of the same ten fifteen things) is to sign up for either a meal delivery service like home chef, plated, big oven.  They will teach you great cooking techniques as well as provide interesting food.  I'd never have had a butternut squash and potato chowder with crispy prosciutto on top ever in my life, but that was one of the meals that was sent my way, so, I ate it.  Fucking delicious is the only way I can put it.  The only drawback with a service like that is there is a lot of waste--boxes, ice packs, bags.  Another alternative that is worth considering is something like platejoy that gives you recipes and a grocery list but you do the shopping.I'm the guy that will plan for a week's worth of food.  I'll usually do an instapot or slowcooker thing, quick five ten minute meal, and a couple of more involved ones.  On the weekends, tipicaly sundays, I go all out with a roast or a half rack of ribs or something once or twice a month, depending on the sales in my grocery store.  Just whatever you do, for your walet's sake, don't order take out/delivery from Uber Eats or something like that the majority of the week.  With a little practice you can cook food just as good, if not better, and save a shit load of money, and when you do order in/go out it's more of a treat that is enjoyed rather than a chore.  Side note, deciding what you want and ordering it and waiting takes longer than making a menu and cooking for yourself, I'm convinced of that!

regarding chewy.com and amazon.com, I have used both lately on my Mac and have had no lag issues.I also have not experienced the "busy busy busy" bug people are refering to, nor do I find that Chrome is inaccessible/difficult to use.  I will state that my experience, although not for any professional purpose, is pretty decent.  I do get a little annoyed when I try to turn quick nav back on and i get no feedback.

Re: Listening to Sports on the Computer

My volume control problem stems from the fact that I can't lower it within the mixer.  I'm using Chrome for a large majority of my work purposes, this includes some audio and video content, so I do need chrome to be at max volume at all times.  I am also unable to install external software onto said work computer, so, chrome is the only browser I get.  Within a lot of the web players for Tune In and some of the team radio affiliates, there is no accessible way to turn down the volume.  I can't go into volume mixer and do it, as again, I need chrome loud volume for other actual work purposes.I'm able to do what I want within chrome itself to a certain extent.  So if there is some way to turn down the volume of a spacific tab only?

Listening to Sports on the Computer

Hi all,Please don't suggest iOS alternatives; I'm working on a desktop computer and I want to listen to radio broadcasts of sports events; PGA tour, MLB, and most importantly, NFL.I'd use TuneIn, however, I can't turn the volume down; I would like to have that.  Volume control is a must.Any suggestions?PSI'm not going to two-ear iOS devices, i can't use a smart speaker in my location, can't have a mixer where I am, so the browser or the computer is really the best option with my limitations. Thanks a lot!

I consider myself to be decent enough with the camera on my phone.  I've not really had too many problems with KNFB, and would have said yes, it's worth it.  And then Seeing AI came out.  No.  IT's not.  Don't waste the $100.  If seeing AI isn't available in your area, unfortunately, that makes things a little different.

Weather we agree with or not, the decision has been made, and it's probably not going to change ever.  Either get one or don't -- truthfully, it makes no difference to Apple.  They're going to get their sails anyway.  I just called my carrier to ask a question and am waiting for upwards of two hours, and the preorders haven't started yet, so, they'll sell, and they'll sell well.  I've never waited for more than a half hour on a given day.Android is a viable alternative.  It's not iOS, but it can be used.  I've only heard it's gotten better, and when I used a Nexus Five, the only reason I went back to Apple was because of a few minor things that, from what I can tell, have mostly been resolved. Also, not trying to be a dickhead here, I'm really not, but it's Android, A, N, D, R, O, I, D, not E, N, D, R, O, I, D.The OCR help on the camera might be more helpful than first tho
ught.  They did include an image processor that, so they say, helps negate shaky hands.  That will help with OCR.

I'm a jim dale fan, personally.  When I've read through, I don't recall principal being used -- I'll have to pay more attention. As to the blind thing, I would imagine that, since you know magic, there would be different accomidations.  Several times throughout the book, things are bewitched to do certain things -- rita's quill, for example, the "potter stinks" badges, percy's badge, etcetera.  Why couldn't we bewitch a textbook to read allowed?  There are also detection spells of every sort, so, we could charm something to detect objects and people, if not just drink a potion to get/regain sight. As to the books, I hated the seventh book for several reasons.  Fanfics and my hatred of those and the seventh book are too long for me to desire to go into now, though.  I will state that there are several good fanfics out there.

Re: Using Uber Experience

On a quick google search, I was able to find, within the last three years, several insidence of taxi drivers raping or killing passenger -- as well as Uber.  Also, considering the regulation issues, here's how it works in my area.Yes.  It's true that taxi drivers have to have a licence to opporate.  The city regulates their prices etcetera.  While I will agree that this does bennefit the consumers, Uber itself, regulates prices.  While in some areas, Uber is not able to opporate, in my area, it has been determined that drivers must have vehicle inspections, yearly background checks, and keep records that may be viewed at any time. From the conclusions I ahve been able to draw, uber, in some areas, has no obligation to pay the area in which it opporates.  again, in my area, my city government threw a fit because they wern't getting their cut.I love taking uber.  It's convenient and half the price of a taxi i
n my are, and I'm not talking in just price.  I can get to my destination (wait time and trip time combined) most days in the amount of time that I would ahve to wait for a cab.  Not to bore you all with the details, so I will simply menchen that my taxi service does not let me talk directly to the driver, so, finding them can be a bit cumbersom.  Plus, I can't rate a driver down so I never see them again. In either case, drivers rape/kill people -- neither is safer, according to the atlantic.  Uber, for me, is cheaper and more convenient.  It's so convenient I don't even have to do a darn thing to pay my driver.
