First, make sure you're in navigation mode instead of exploration by triple tapping with two fingers on the touch surface. If that doesn't fix your problem, go to settings, accessibility, navigation style, and select follow focus instead of direct touch.

I thought we might have to use team talk until I can come up with a better platform, contact me for server details because they have changed. As for schedule, we will have to work that out amongst the members. Some of you may be a different time zones or have different schedules, so I want some thing that works for everybody. Too bad I couldn't build a little program that plays a Beltone when you open it and then immediately closes. Then again, that would really require me to hand programs around all over the place. As for questions, I am sure they would cover a lot of stuff. I don't know of any categories that would really be off the table. Another concern of mine is who would read the clues? Would we have a dedicated clue reader, or would we all take turns. I don't want to borrow questions from an Internet quiz bank unless it's an absolute necessity. I've actually been practicing coming up with clues, so that shouldn't be too much of a problem

I don't know where we would find any other teams, but I miss competitive trivia. I thought we could do it something like Jeopardy, since that seems to be with my Twitter feed once. I'll try to come up with my own questions, but if I have to borrow some, I won't feel too badly about it. Those of you who watch my streams no I'm not even good enough at coming up with Jeopardy clues. My main problem is finding a buzzer solution. I'm assuming you all don't just have random bills that have a different sound to them lying around your house.

Actually I think Ken Jennings will do just fine. He does seem to have a good personality. You're right though, it won't be the same. I have a special respect for Ken Jennings though. Seeing him on tv was really what got me into trivia in the first place. Challenging him to a trivia match is on my bucket list. It will never happen, but hey, I can dream, can't I?

You neeed an internet connection to redownload the OS. I havee no idea why the wifi menu doesn't show up for VoiceOver, but they need to fix that. Sorry if the instructions I gave were a little hard to follow.

If you just want to install the version your mac already has, you can just use command r instead of command option r. Command r starts up the recovery drive on your computer.

Just reinstalling the OS, no matter which way you do it, leaves your data alone. The only way it goes anywhere is if you erase your disk. As for recovery mode, on a mac with a touchbar, hold down the command key while you tripple click the power button to turn VoiceOver on.

I've never had an issue with the size. Even if something won't lie down flat, you can lean it diaganally against the wall or something. Unless you want to heat a whole kettle at once, it should be fine.

Let me recommend the Amazon Basics Microwave. They're a lot cheaper than the talking microwaves I've seen, and you can get a Braille overlay for them. Voice control is also an option if something happens to your overlay. I've been using one for a couple of years now. I also got one of those single-cup coffee makers. They are a lot easier to manage, and it eliminates the pouring step.

Normally I would turn a blind eye to this, but someone else is getting attacked here. I can't help it that someone cares enough to be concerned. I'm going to start quoting song lyrics at you now. I'm never going back, the past is in the past. And there's the very name of the song itself, let it go. I have far more important things to do here. I'm doing the best I can here, and everywhere. Do I have problems? Sure. Do I have a really bad past, definitely. Am I going to let it ruin my whole life? Nope. Like I said, I would really stay out of this if someone else wasn't getting hurt. Oh, and in case you didn't know, holding a grudge is bad for your health. It'll mess up your blood pressure. To those of you who won't drop it, well, that's your choice. I am allowed to be happy though, and nothing said here is going to get in the way of that.

So I realize this may be a sort of contraversial topic. What I want to know is this. What are your thoughts on roleplaying, say in a chat with your friends or something? The recovery thing is fine on intel Macs. My concern was just for the ones with the new chips.

I am concerned about this transition though. I read something discouraging today regarding the way to access recovery mode on the new computers. It involves bringing up thee startup menu and clicking on something there. We all know the startup menu doesn't talk, so that could be a big problem.

Hi guys. First, let's welcome macOS Big Sur into official existence. Second, here's the place to talk about your experiences/thoughts. Let me start off by saying that upgrading is completely safe at this point. I haven't seen anything that could cause problems. Upgrading might take a long time though, which was stated in the release notes. Something I've noticed is that VoiceOver seems to be enabled automatically in the recovery partition if you use it on your main volume. That will definitely be useful.

I have a regular HomePod and I absolutely love the sound. I can't say too much about the mini because I don't have one. The no bluetooth thing frustrates me too, but I think I like airplay better because VoiceOver stays on my phone instead of following my playlist to the speaker.

It really hits me when there's an Apple event. We would always watch those together and end up shouting at the screen 9 times out of 10. WWDC just about cut me in half. I wanted to skip it altogether, but my other friends wouldn't hear of it. The one in September didn't mess with me until later. Then I realized I had to watch another one alone, and it was like a kick straight to the heart. I really dread next week. There's an event, and I know I'll be right there in front of the screen, trying to act like it isn't killing me inside. There are other things, certain songs, some jokes only we shared that pop into my head, the fact that I haven't deleted a contact from my phone since 2014, and a few other things.

Let me explain about Ken Jennings for those who don't know. In 2004, when I was a lot younger, he was on Jeopardy for 75 days, winning 74 of those games. I had never seen anyone that smart before. All I knew was I wanted to do that too. It kind of turned me into a trivia/game show nut. I spent years on the school quiz team, but that ended in college because my school didn't have a team. I miss my trivia competitions.

Well, yeah, that's kind of the point. I always subscribe back if I can, but like I said, I don't always see it. I got 2 new subscribers a couple of days ago and didn't even know about it until someone else pointed it out because, guess what, no notification. I use do not disturb on my phone so nothing personal comes in, but if Bob the Nut decides to subscribe to me in the middle something, it at least deserves a mention. I don't know, I just don't want anyone ttoo feel invisible. I spent the majority of my life feeling invisible, so if mentioning someone's name makes that person feel a little better, than my job is done.

My thing is they may be heard in my YouTube videos if someone does something to trigger the notifications. I figured out that streamlabs will notify you if someone subscribes to your channel, and since I tend to miss the iOS notifications, I thought that feature would be useful.

Network boot doesn't usually show up though, unless you have a network drive configured I would guess. I know you have to hold down N to make it work normally.

Is this version able to be used with bootcamp directly, or do I need to chase down an older installer? I know for a while, Microsoft recommended bootcamp users install the anniversary update after the creator update came out, but that warning is gone, so not sure anymore.

My only problem with my fire stick is the AT TV app. It is not accessible, at all. I don't know how to leave feedback. Contrary to what Amazon has published, the iPhone app can manipulate the controls while Voice View is active.

My idea, based on everything I had forced down my throat, and a bunch of mistakes, is a bunch of weirdness, confusion, and things I can't follow. Most of what I've seen is just not for me. I do look in different sections of the get books section of whatever provider I'm browsing. I'll read something if it looks interesting. Like I said, most of my reading has drifted toward nonfiction. As for young wizards, I like those too. I'm still looking for 2 books though. That's another series I came back to after a long time. I do like a lot of classics too. I like a lot of mysteries and things too. My previous downloads list is confusing to say the least.

Lol it's not like I'm still reading Magic Tree House or anything. I like from about fifth to 12th grade level stuff mostly. It's that balance of magic and real life that draws me in. I do read some adult stuff, Stephen King and James Patterson mostly. Most of my reading has drifted toward nonfiction these days. You know, I think that's part of the problem a lot of people face. As they get older, they lose that love of things like that. I know the things in books likeke this can't happen, but my imagination does need some exercise. Now back on topic, for those who have read the series in question, do you have a favorite character? If so, who is it? Also, least favorites if you have them. I think I like putting the knowledge I've picked up from my psychology classes to work on some books that were just good stories when I was younger.

Is anyone interested in an informal book club?

Hey guys. You know I've been reading a lot lately. I just had the generic lightbulb moment. Why don't I turn that love of reading into an online book club? Details can be negotiable, number of meetings, meeting time, and so on. I'm going to assume most of you are able to obtain books somehow. So here's the deal. If you're interested, let me know. I'll find a way to set up the meetings and things like that. We can take turns choosing books, so my bad taste won't be a problem, haha. As I see it now, we have 3 options for meeting, TT, Skype groups, and discord. If there is enough interest, I'll get our stuff set up and we can go ahead with finding our first book. I'm doing this because I've always wanted a way to discuss books, but I haven't found anything like this. My rule is if you have an idea and can't find anything like it, fix that. So now, any takers? Let's make this fun.

I find the problem with most adult books out there is no relatable characters. It's like authors think grownups don't need to relate to characters, which is totally incorrect. I would rather have relatable characters and get laughed at for what I read than feel an awkward place with all content and no place for empathy with the characters.

Don't even get me started on Opal. You don't want to hear what I think. Honestly, Harry Potter never peaked my interest in the slightest. I want at least 1 character I can relate to on some level, and Harry Potter had none of those. Honestly, I like seeing the crazy situations these characters get themselves into, but don't they ever learn anything from, oh, almost getting killed?

I have to disagree on the narration. I got the first 3 on CD from a public library, finished 2 and a half, and had to return them. They weren't on overdrive or anything that I could find, and I just managed to find them. Now I want to finish the series. Only I've read 3 books in as many days, and now these characters have invaded my dreams.

Another series I've rediscovered

Hello wonderful humans. I just wanted to talk about yet another series of books I started reading years ago. This time, our subject is Artemis Fowl, the books, not the horrible thing Disney calls a movie. Does anyone remember these books? If so, what did you think of them and who is your favorite character? I read two and a half of them years ago, and then forgot about them until Disney got hold of the story. Then, of course, I wanted to finish up the series because I was missing details, which I hate when reading.

Could I use this with VMWare fusion instead of writing it all out by hand with Textedit on the Mac? I need to rebuild my site from scratch, since my dear hosting provider decided to shut it down because I supposedly violated their terms of service, which, after a careful check, I'm positive I did not do.
