This tells you what you can brew with the herbs you have in your inventory. Which might be intentional but 7 control points for something that you have to refresh soon and which really doesnt appear to be all that hard to destroy seems a little much.I definitely like the call animal level change though. Id much sooner pair it with mage for its utility spells and backup damage spells, cleric for healing and protective spells, or even thief/warrior for backup melee abilities. Ive done all the quests on slow accept for one, and I think Ill just leave that one alone and move on to Kordin. I like the druid class so far, though the brew salve thing is confusing me a little. Re: Alter Aeon: I need help with the druid class I have a lot of fun playing necromage, using minions for my tanking and damage, brewing and bottling potions with the spell components I harvest, getting exp from harvesting teeth, and using hand spells on myself and minions to take out harder creatures. Harvesting teeth gives some extra exp, and bone prison is awesome for taking extra enemies out of the fight until you can handle them. You can also bone prison yourself to hide if necessary. Re: Alter Aeon: I need help with the druid class Druid just got a whole bunch easier with call animal being drastically lowered in level, from 30 all the way down to 8. As for me, my druid is secondary cleric, which seems to be the popular choice. I think it works quite well, the stats synergize nicely and I can switch to healing in group situations where druid isnt so useful (*cough* underwater *cough*).My main is a warrior/necro, which takes a bit of effort to get going but is really fun to play. There are lots of strategies I can use, from tanking while minions beat things down, to using tank minions to allow myself multiple charges on enemies. The only real weaknesses are a lack of high level healing, which I can oleviate with potions, and limited area damage capability. Things usually get rather hectic when the thought of bone prisons even enters my mind, at which point Ill almost reflexively try to use it to trap whatever Im fighting, only to be told that I dont think itll work on that particular mob. I always thought the druid class was capable of becoming equal to the necromancers in the scope of power, even if it became as difficult as the necro class to play. I pointed out just awhile ago on another post that people say the necro class is the easiest, but I dont translate powerful to easy. Necros are powerful because necro players must consider so many variables, variables that as a group are generally divided among its members. my conclusion was that the necro class is powerful when you give it your time and your patience, otherwise its actually worse off than all the other classes, given its physical weakness and the fact that its power comes from the undead rather than being able to draw implicitly from the necro in question. If your monna runs out, and your undead get destroyed your pretty much done for, unless your in a group with people tanking or healing. I think what i might do is create another character to test different combinations of classes, i love my character, i have some great skills and spells, but maybe its time to really test what its like being a warrior at a high level. Re: Alter Aeon: I need help with the druid class I do love playing around with different combinations.right now my main is necro/cleric, but Ive also got a warrior/thief, which is quite a bit more difficult at low-mid levels. thats mainly due to not knowing where to find equipment for that particular class though. Also not being able to heal more than about 10-15 hp hurts. I do agree with necro being tricky when you get off the islands due to how much you have to keep tabs on your minions and the like.I also find that in group settings Im either mainly blasting with the occasional shadow fiend, or working on being a secondary healer.
