Hay all, sorry again for bumping a topic that I previously posted in, but I have some news regarding Remnant.first of all, the slightly bad news.remnant has been delaied; again, but this time it's due to mother nature.You see, my area has been experiencing lots of unusually heavy amounts of violent lightning storms, and my pc doesn't like them that much, that and the chance of the power going out or frying my hard drive is to high to wrisk using my pc during these storms.Due to this, the release date for remnant 3.0 has been set back to. july.Also getting in contact with theOnlyPKMNmaster is like pulling teath, as he hasn't responded to PMs, but he's working on psycho strike at the moment, plus he probably has colege finals coming up, so I can't really blame him.It would be a real bummer to have to make the main character silent for this final chapter, as he has to interact with Remnant during two of the ending
 s.Okay, the good news...despite the setbacks, remnant 3.0 is still coming along pretty nicely.All but a few of the viruses are done and most of the levels are at least on the stage list with only the final boss levels not appearing their yet.almost all cutsceens are done as well; again with the exception of the boss ones.I decided not to use the voice samples I talked about in my last post, as I came up with a slightly cooler intro than what I originally planned on.I'll be working on remnant over the next month or so, to get everything done, and I may even be able to get an objective view on the campaign soon from someone who's never plaied AAC or Remnant before as well.The only thing that can push back the release date at this point is when theOnlyPKMNmaster can record lines, but, please, don't get mad at him if he can't before July, just know that Remnant 3.0 will be out when it's really and truely ready.Som
 ething I've been thinking about for a while... and to help make up for the delays...Would anyone be interested in adding their voice to remnant?I was kind of thinking about seeing if any audiogame pioneers or current developers of audiogames would like to appear in a special segment, where they'd be feetured as ghosts/zombies that the plaier would have to take down.Also, would any audiogames devs like to allow me to use any zomby vocals they've created for they're games?I think this could be a nice nodd and tribute to all the people who've worked vary hard over the years to bring us all of the audiogames we enjoy playing.Also audiogames.net forum admens, or hek, anyone is welcome to appear, so long as they have the ability to record themselves, and use something like sendspace or dropbox to drop me the lines.Well that's it for now, later!

Hay Simba. That is a boss, and it gets a lot of people.It's actually designed to be killed with the cyberstar, not your knife.for a really fast player, it is possible to use your knife, but if you aren't up to that, here's what you do.Go up to the thing and use the cyberstar to start it moving.Run away from it and take potshots at it using the cyberstar from a distance, jumping over it as needed and going back into the tunnel to grab health powerups as needed.By the by, the cyberstar; if you don't have it; can be aquired by finishing the Rusty's software level within the postgame section of AAC.Hope this helps.Later!

Hay, Nock, sorry you're having a problem with the path of truth.If you know AAC vary well you might be able to find an alt method of reaching the path of truth through the path of lies.I couldn't do a recording over the weekend, as their were things making noise in my house that kept me from being able to consentrate well.

Nick, the platforms in the first two sections of path of truth have a patern to them.Their are a few platforms that I couldn't get to follow it, but for the most part its 4 4 3 until the end.The path of truth is not supposed to be easy, because; you know; it is the path of truth after all.However, it can be finished.It took me a few tries, but I did actually do it.

complicated meaning that the platforms I try to jump are hard, and I keep falling off because I don't know if the platforms are close together.I make a mistake and I'm able to correct the jump to get on the platform but on the other hand, I fall off the platform.

bigdog, I won't give you the password, but I will make a new file tonight that has a weeker missingno.Nick, once the music changes while going on the path of truth, that's when the fire starts chacing you.You'll hear a sound after a little bit that means that the fire is at position 400.Are you having a problem after you reach the dorr in that level?Once you clear the fire chace, you'll be in an area with no music.At this point you have two ways you can go...I won't say anymore at this point, but I'd like to know what you mean by "complicated."Thanks

Nick, I can't be sure of anything, but I really, really hope it will be done by June.I just did some more work this morning; as a matter of fact.And, all music is present in the beta, and most of the rest of it is already done.The songs that aren't just need to be cut.If things go the way I want, I'll have one final update to the beta up in about a week.

Nick, their were some difficulties with audiogames.net when I tried to post the link.The site was down or something.To make up for this, I've added even more content to the beta.I'm sending you the link now.Once this gets a little more polished, I might decide to post a public beta.edit: I've decided to make this a semi-public beta.Two other users posted in this topic that they were interested in; or couldn't wait for; chapter 3, so I sent them links.I also sent a link to a moddorater that seemed interested as well.I'm going to finish up what's in the beta; hopefully with comments from these users, and then see where things stand.Chapter might see a May or June release, as finishing this beta took shorter than expected.

As for chapter 3, hek no!It is still vary much in development.As a matter of fact, I just finished a level yesterday.It took a while because I was having a war with myself as to the concepts I wanted to use in this chapter, but that battle is now behind me.If any of you want an idea of the way chapter 3 is shaping up, just send me a PM, and I'll post a beta of sorts.Everything in this chapter is all-new and non-linear.Their are two paths to victory! The path of truth, and the path of lies!But only the really devoted will be able to stay on the path of truth.It's possible, as I've done it, but the faint of heart will quickly find themselves back on the path of lies.I'm really trying to make the path of truth worth the effort required to finish it.Path of lies has four possible routes to it's end, and even a hidden alt method of getting back on the path of truth!Path of truth will contain at l
 east 1 logic puzzle, with hidden method of bypassing it!Remnant contains references to audio games as well as video games!One is already finished, but if anybody wants an audio game included, please post here and I'll take a look at said game, and see if I can somehow work it in to Remnant.That's mainly what the holdup has been for.I took an abandondware game and ported an entire level into Remnant; it took about a month to make everything work as well as I wanded it to, while staying true to said audiogame.What audiogame? Well, I'm not saying, unless, someone guesses it.All level hubbs are done, and most skelitons are finished as well.I also had to do some custom remixes that required complete dissection of game assets and a lot of creativity in putting them back together.Lots of testing with regards to ambiance and music looping was also done as well!any other questions? Goodness, are sighted games as hard as AAC? The main thing I have problems with is jumping the pits. I mean, in other games, you just jump, tap right a few times, and that's it. But here, the pits are so close together and all, that I don't know when to stop. I can't even get passed the first set of pits in the mario level of the first chapter. Is there just, something wrong with me?

If you would like a walkthrough of AAC, you can find one in the AAC topic. I think it's around post 1000 to 1300 or something. It's uploaded by Trajectory, and I strongly advise anyone to listen, as he actually played through the whole game in nearly an hour and a half.

true he is hard and probably the reason i haven't won is that my poor laptop's spacebar might break if ii do win.  lol.  anyways nice stage and keep it up.  i could see a full megaman series since that's kind of what this game's potential could be.  If there were maybe an implementation to add weapons very little couldn't be done to make it so.

I really want to play the pokemon stage since I'm a fan of pokemon, and I really wish that I don't need to go through other stages of yours, which is quite hard btw. Hay Nick, glad to see you got through the Kirby level!You put your answer in by landing on the teleport pad you want.for numbers, it goes from left to right from 1 through 9, then 0.for questions with multiple choices, just land on the pad of the answer you want to give.If you don't feel like looking up the answers to the questions, I've included an answers.txt file that will help you.

Moderation! Knick, though this is not a commercial game, threats to hack a developer's work are definitely not! welcome just because your stuck. If you have a problem with the stage, the answer (as indeed you've done),  is to ask for assistance, and perhaps suggest the developer changes the difficulty if you believe it is unfair, rather than just difficult. If the stage is fair but hard, then it's that way for a reason and unfortunately there is only one  answer.

This does contain both chapters.and, No I will, NOT, give out the password.The platforms are uneven on purpose.Kill the birds if they're distracting you.If you're that far, the end of the stage is not to far off.If you need practice, spend some time with the practice platforms in the first part of the kirby level.If anything else, be patient and learn how many steps the platforms are apart.You can do this if you keep your head.

Hay Konnor142. congrats, you actually found a secret part of the level.If you're talking about the final time you beet your shadow, you went to the right.The message tells you that you can't get to the items because they're ment for remnant.If you got this far, you'll have to go back through the stuff you went through to get to that point, then just continue left.

[[wow]] I can't wait to play this one. I erally enjoyed the first version of remnant.edit: Just played some of it and it's vicious as heck. The stage right after you get your knife back, with all the enemies and the boss in the zelda world, took me 25 minutes to defeat and cost me over 50 lives. The problem was the sheer power of the enemies. There was a group of 3 malwares I had to destroy by running around and zapping them with my cyber star, because they took huge amounts of health from me. Perhaps defense should be a bit higher? 55 just doesn't seem like enough. It was also disconcerting at the sky platforms part because yeah, well, there was no footsteps, but I got through it ok. I still wish those birds didn't respawn. It doesn't make sense. I mean you killed them once, why do you need to kill them again?
