Re: I'm hoping for game recommendations

Thank you people. In answer to some points, I'd like an interactive game rather than just a drama to listen to, but not a fast-paced action game.Text-only ones would be fine, if there were ones I liked.I'd ideally like a game where you don't have to follow strict rules to accomplish the aim of the game, but where you're free to mess around and experiment to see what happens if you do one thing or another, - none of the possibilities including instant death or anything as destructive as that, but where, for instance, a story goes in different directions according to which option you choose, or where you can cause some amusing disruptions to things, such as by casting a spell that temporarily lifts the roof from a government building where they're all having a meeting during a rain storm so you can listen to their reactions as they all get soaked.Maybe there aren't any audio or text-based games like that though?Maybe there are games that don't have much of a story that I'd like.I've followed the links and read up a bit more about the games that were suggested. My browser blocked the Heart of Winter one though, for some reason, saying someone has reported harmful software on the site. I don't know what that was about.

Re: I'm hoping for game recommendations

I'm personally a fan of Brogue Speak, a randomized dungeon adventure game wherein your goal is to retrieve the Amulet of Yendor from the lower depths and return with it back to the dungeon exit. This game, relatively unique amongst is peers, actually promotes a stealthy approach. You get no benefits at all from killing the inhabitants of the dungeon, and in fact more often than not trying to do so can pose many detrimental effects. There are ways of playing the game, though, so that you never have to kill a single thing should you wish not to -- even the object of your quest is left unguarded on the target floor of the dungeon -- it's only once you pick it up that you are then chased by a guardian, which you can't kill, so have to evade. It uses eSpeak to relay game info, and all the hotkeys for interacting with the game are included in the readme. The game is turn-based, so you can spend all the time you need to explore the map, objects, and monsters, evaluating the situation before you make your move. It even features an auto-explore button (x), which will make the character zoom around the map to explore untraversed areas, picking up items and such along the way. The auto explore feature will try to engage enemies though, so it's your job to manually maneuver around them if you choose to play the game stealthily (you can stop the automatic explore mode by pressing any key).Kai

Re: I'm hoping for game recommendations

Post 2, did you actually read the first post? LOLPost 1, I like your name, .As for a game like this, it's a pretty tall order in the current market.  Usually either the story isn't great or it's heavy on combat. All I can really think of that isn't just a concept demo would be Legacy, Code 7, and Descent into madness, and the Ticon Blue games (but those are not very good quality)There are other, older games that could possibly fit the bill, such as the inspector Cindy or time adventures series, but they are old and not very good from what I know. You will have more choices for this kind of thing on the Iphone/Ipad/Ipod Touch, and the Amazon Echo and Google Home have some as well.I haven't played many my self, so unfortunately I can't comment much on story quality, but if your expecting something at the level of a mainstream game you will undoubtedly be disappointed. If you expand your criteria to include text only games, you will have a thousand times the content to choose from, and if you include games which are action first and story second, you could add a few titles as well.If you just want some suggestions for full cast audio books and podcasts with sounds and music that aren't interactive, than I can also give you several suggestions.Unfortunately though, as I said, our choices are quite limited, and even more so when quality is taken into account. But here's hoping that Dark or another user can come in here and school me on all the ones I'm missing. Some links for you:Code 7HEARtREAD Concept Demo1812 Heart of WinterAlt FrequenciesDescent into MadnessGrail to the thiefHome of multiple audio adventures including the inquisitor series, She Noir, and Flare starA couple notes. These are loosely ordered by quality, but again I haven't played all of them so I'm just going on what I've heard for most of them. You will need to ask someone to give you a link to Legacy as it is not hosted on the audio games archive, and I had to remove it from my cloud storage for space reasons.  I know people have it though so it shouldn't be to hard to find.

Re: I'm hoping for game recommendations

Whitch platform of games are you looking for? I don't use an Iphone, so i'm sorry if I can't help you with that. But I can help you with a game if you want it for your computer. It's a game called Oh shit, don't worry, it doesn't have any bad language, but it lets you collect items, and at the saim time not dieing. You can get it here.http://samtupy.com/stevend/oh_shit.zipOh Shit! This game, despite its title, does not contain any questionable content, and is a massively addictive arcade game.Run around, and avoid the rocks that will try to fall onto your head. But it doesn't stop there, where the game gets interesting is that the objects that were trying to destroy you become one of three things once they're on the ground; points, items, or pits. Survive as long as you can, pick up points, and avoid pits and exploding canons that will appear out of nowhere. Pick up superbonuses to gain invinsibility which will in turn destroy the canons, pit covers to cover the pits, and a speed bonus that can help or hinder you! It's a perfectly good timewaster, and very fun! it does take while to get used to though. If you nead anything elce, just ask, and I will help you!

I'm hoping for game recommendations

2019-10-16 Thread AudioGames . net Forum — General Game Discussion : Herbivorous Zombie via Audiogames-reflector

I'm hoping for game recommendations

I'd like to find an audio adventure/fantasy game that works with Windows 7 or Windows 10, or just possibly the iPhone 8 - though I need to learn how to use that itself before I can play games on it, - which is fully blind-accessible, and more feminine than the average - I mean, that doesn't involve much killing and fighting or other kinds of destruction, but can still trigger an adrenaline boost. It would be nice if it could be humorous or quirky in some way, with a good story, and if it could inspire the imagination, allowing for the use of it for some kind of creativity in the game. I'd like the game to be one that also allows time for the user to stop to puzzle over the best decisions to make or respond to mental challenges along the way, but ones that don't involve having to remember many things at once or having to use mathematical skill.I'm a beginner to audio games though, so it might be best if it's not all that complex, or at least if the first levels of it aren't.Does such an audio game actually exist? Thanks.
