Re: Interesting question about plextalk ptp1 and linio

I know for a fact the PTP1 and the BookPort Plus use the exact same hardware. The software may be almost identical as well, aside from a few tweaks by APH. Any info you can provide on the PTP1 is very much appreciated. The Linio may have slightly different specs.

Re: Interesting question about plextalk ptp1 and linio

If you want to do that, go ahead. I'm a bit scared of permanently breaking something, so I'd rather not open mine. I'd be interested to learn what you find.

Re: Interesting question about plextalk ptp1 and linio

I'd be very curious as well. I have a BookPort Plus, and among other things I'd like to know what the system files are like, how much internal RAM and storage it has, the processor speed, etc. The only thing I know for sure is that these devices run a version of Windows CE, possibly CE 6.0. The reason for this is that my BookPort Plus will recognize drives formatted as ExFat.I don't really care what APH has to say about this. They abandoned the device, and I presume Plextalk has as well. If I had to guess though, I'm thinking it may have a processor running at around 500 MHz or less, with maybe 512 MB of RAM and storage if you're lucky. I think the Linio has 8 GB of storage, but that's all I know.

Interesting question about plextalk ptp1 and linio

Hi, is it possible to get in to service mode or something like that where you can see what is in system partitions?I just wanna know how this system works and what the structure of it's files is like.Does anybody have an idea or hack o do it?For example in mile stone you must edit one file in the internal storage to unhide the system files.Regards.
