Only things I like to use are USB sticks and hard drives. You can't scratch or get dirt onto an internal ssd unless you really want to. That's worth the potentially increased prices for games for me. With the digital one, you are limited to PSN and the prices called for there, accept if there are sales going on from time to time. Also you don't have the possibility of game keys like for steam or the xBox. With the disk version, I can get games cheaper after they are out for some months or even weeks, as well as check prices online and get the cheapest one.If game keys would be available on the playstation, that would be a completely different story.Greetings Moritz. Wit hsome exceptions, fighting games are still the easiest to get into. The Last of Us 2 and 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim are two very good games worth buying and are quite accessible, TLU 2 especially. There are others though of course, and with accesibility in the scope of most developers' vision, I'd say now is the perfect time to invest in a console if you want something other than fighting games, as there will be more stuff coming down the pipeline, probably sooner than later, I would guess. Even if the apps are accessible, the fact that the PS4 already takes 200 wats per hour when streaming does ammound to a lot if you do that for some time and depending on how much you have to pay for your electrics, this might get expensive.I'd rather get an Apple TV or a firestick, it's cheaper and does take less power.Greetings Moritz. Not having to worry about specs is one of the reasons I will always be a console gamer at heart, even though I might want a gaming pc for the occasional exclusive. Hopefully I'm wrong, but I don't think the reader speaks Norwegian text with the English/Spanish/Italian/etc voice. We haven't heard anything one way or the other, so I'm not realy willing to speculate if they have made it open or not, but chances are you're probably right. I wish they would, as that would make accessibility implementation so much easier. Recording, splicing, and inserting prerecorded audio samples had to take a massive amount of time. LOL. but I’m a huge fighting game nerd and I’ve been playing all the games in that particular genre I could get my hands on since Street Fighter II in the arcades. Thanks for the info, assault. All good points, too. Would also add Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle to the list of playable games. It’s not a very deep experience per se but I still find it fun. Also, I have a couple buddies who are completely blind that played the crap out of zombies mode in Call of Duty Black Ops 4. It takes a lot of work and it’s not easy and it’s not perfect. But if interested check out YouTube videos from TJ Blind Gamer. Diablo 3 is also arguably playable, requires patients and OCR. TJ also has videos on Diablo. Brandon Cole also has videos and a blog post about Diablo. MK11 and Injustice are quite playable and fun. I’ve also heard that the anime arena fighter Kill La Kill IF is playable although I cannot confirm. dragon Quest XI definitive edition is releasing in December and that has a 2D mode that makes the game vastly more playable, provided you can OCR. Check out Sterlock’s streams on Twitch to see what it’s like to play that particular game. None of these games are exclusive to PlayStation but still worth mention, imo. I think in some cases, and I know this is not ideal, some games are made more accessible if you link up with other VI/Blind players online. We learn tips from each other, help each other with menu navigation, etc.I myself am quite low vision but TJ is like 100 times better playing zombies than I am and he is totally blind, and I am learning to play by playing with him. On the other hand, I was going through the campaign in Streets of Rage 4 with another friend who is also blind and even though that game is barely playable in my opinion, we were having a blast.All that said, I personally am waiting until there is a highly playable or totally accessible game out for PS5 before getting the console. But given the hard work put into blind accessibility from Naughty Dawg and Ubisoft, I am hopeful we will see accessible games from those developers in the not so distant future. It is a slow, methodical fighter, also one of the most accessible because of this slowness. But if you make a mistake, you will get punished for it. You have to play both offensively and defensively. If you try mashing even a light attack, that won't really work because as you attack, your character might move a little as well. So it comes down to spacing in the stereo field, knowing what range is what by experimenting with that spacing, learning not only the character's special moves but also, their normal moves, because make no mistake just because a heavy attack is a heavy attack, doesn't mean it's necessarily the largest range, and if you miss, well, you'll know, and sometimes, you'll know pretty badly because the AI will counter you. But my well known obsession with fighting games on this forum can be found somewhere else, so I'll spare everyone that in this topic. lolThe ps5 will support most ofthe ps4 games library, as is mentioned in the guide. Which means that accessible or playable, anyone who doesn't already have a ps4 and wants to get into console gaming with the last of us 2 now has multiple reasons to buy the ps5. The fact that they do not have to buy the console just for one game, and the fact that the ps5's screen reader now reads more of the UI and is available in places other than North America are two good reasons. And with ps now also being accessible, they also have access to ps2 and ps3 titles as well which means more playable games still. And the distinction should be made between playable and accesible yes, but that distinction is often subjective. If someone was to ask me, I would say 13 sentinels is accessible, but many probably wouldn't. It takes skill, dextarity and memory muscle to learn timing, appropriate button combinations. Certainly there are more than judt fighting games we can play, and as indicated by the previous post, the system ui is very accessible, which is what people really want, regardless if a game is for ps5 or not. That, and the improved tactile feedback of the dualsense controller can only make finding playable games easier to do. On the PS5, if the screen reader is global, it will be much easier to even launch the games we're interested in. Also, The Last of Us has ii has been confirmed to also work on the PS5. Remember, if you're outside the US, the PS4's UI has no text to speech, at all. The PS5 might be changing this, and if we can browse the store and grab games that we like, right from the console, it's a win. Of course I am talking about the last of us part 2.You can probably a lot of fighting games, why? Because their mechanics are easy enough, and you can defeat many of them with a little luck and a lot of random button pressing.
