Re: Browser-Based RPG Needs Sound Track

Yeah, I'm sorry. I'm not sure what to tell you here. I use both Jaws and NVDA, though more often Jaws, and I use chrome, and I don't see a ton of blank lines.More accurately, I see almost none with Jaws, and a few with NVDA, but tab will skip past them to the important bits. I personally find Jaws+chrome is ridiculously fast when playing the game, but the game is perfectly playable with either Jaws or NVDA, and either IE or Chrome, though I don't precisely recommend IE for a bunch of stuff. It's a little fiddly, but perfectly doable.

Re: Browser-Based RPG Needs Sound Track

The RPG is called Chronicles of Denzar. Have a peek if you want:http://www.chroniclesofdenzar.comThanks for the info thus far. There would be absolutely no problem with attribution, by the way. I'm not at all interested in stealing or obscuring someone else's work.

Re: Browser-Based RPG Needs Sound Track

@Jayde I would gladly do it for you for free, for the sake of just being mentioned in a project, but at present the only thing I have at my disposal is a mixer and a mic.  I've lost all of my musical equipment, so I'm just like a pilot without a plane.  If somehow I manage to get the money to buy all I need I'll willingly come back to this, assuming it still needs tending to and my offer will stand, provided that you all tell them where they got the music, if anyone were to ask.`

Re: Browser-Based RPG Needs Sound Track

Jayde, if you know music, writing MIDI will not be your biggest concern. You can give some MIDI files to someone, and then that someone will master them for you. I used to do these things but it was long, long time ago

Re: Browser-Based RPG Needs Sound Track

If you do not wish to compose anything, a 2 minute long track usually starts at $250 and up on average. You might get a cheaper price from indie composers, but it is not unheard of of having more pricy cues. Hans Zimmer, for example, goes for about $15000 or so. That's just the composing part, not orchestrating in his case. So there is really no limit. If you'd like to compose everything and pass it on for remastering the midi files, you will most likely get a much cheaper price, but there's still going to be mixing, mastering, plus rendering your tracks with sampled instruments, so it's also a lot of work, but it's marginally better. My suggestion at this point is to grab a cheap midi keyboard, get a decent-sounding free instrument package and compose the tracks yourself, especially since you said you'd like to take part in how the music sounds. When that's done, you can look for someone who's willing to render, mix and master and possibly take suggestions as well.I have experience with this, as I have been composing for TV, radio and games, if you are interested, please contact me either via a PM here, or by other means through my site (see the signature). Unfortunately, the contact form does not seem to work at the moment, but everything else is okay.
