I remember the user guide tells about some bonus levels which has never been developed. In the very first alpha version, there were even lots of sounds in the game which were never used.It wouldn't surprise me if there are some secrets in the game which has never been discovered. The OP is only isolating particular strings and code from the program, not actually attempting to open-source it or retrieve its source code. Retrieving the source code is impossible anyway unless its written in something like Python, where source code is easily retrievable. But if its written in VB6, Java, etc., then getting the original source, or anything remotely close to it, is virtually impossible without many years of hard work. (As a side note, I disassembled SOD once and found out that it has a level editor accessible with ctrl+L. However, its locked and you still need a license, and then you need some way of entering that license. The key combination is in the GMA engine itself, not the game, but since SOD was made with the GMA engine, I got all that the engine had plus what SOD have. Again, I stress that that was not reverse engineering. I couldn't even run the games code if I reassembled it.) I can say with clarity that Alien Outback doesn't appear to have any cheat dialogs or even cheat codes for that matter. I think for 90% of the games out there this was documented well. I think Monkey Business was challenging enough that many people struggled to play it through, I know that Aztec temple took forever for me to figure out back in the day. I tried it again last night and it's like they made that level much worse! Of course none of the walkthroughs or forum content from back is around nowadays either.Getting all readable strings is not rocket science, nor is it hard to find simple command-line tools like it which do this. Linux has this built in, naturally. 90% of the output you get are things like:"?G$B'PSASapmaIJfG&,i>&)<xU@Ue*rZ{Gi[IPn_Re2=A6]`P HciJ(+T~)z"I$YfxJGzIv)KfL LSM.Zf4{e]muAJdm57cA]Cw[jTT2DyJq4-Q*q\J* $xdD"Can you read what that means? Because, I sure hell can't. The code is still in bytecode mostly, and in no way will I attempt to reverse that. Also, with this limited scan, I couldn't even tell you keyboard shortcuts for things, because again, those are in bytecode as variables and values you just wouldn't get by scanning for readable strings in a program. This is very simple Rudimentary stuff.

I couldn't buy it when I was a young lad 13 years ago, but now with a job and working life, this is not unfair to do. With Monkey Business, none of the cheats were made official, so it's also entirely possible that they didn't end up adding the function and it's just stored there because it's there. There are lots of scanning tools which one could use that I would doubt be considered illegal. These include memory-scanning tools (thing: Cheat engine, others which can copy part of the application in a dump and then analyze it for info, etc) - mostly because you are not decompiling the code back to its original format. You're simply scanning the binary output of that code and grabbing any strings you may find in its copy, or scanning memory for specifically-programmed information and values/ variables which are set. To me this is very different from someone who de-Obfuscates and tries to go after the actual written code to either modify or patch that file, or do other malicious intent. Getting cheats out of games which may have had them but for whatever reason the game is less supported and you no longer have the playability of a community or possibly the support from the actual manufacturers for some games. Now, I may be able to contact Draconis and find out if they have any info on a cheat dialog. I'm just not sure how well they do respond, although they just took my monkey business order today, so I'm hopeful that if the forum can't, maybe those developers can provide that info.
