Re: NBA 2k17 current accessibility report You'll get it. There are times where I'll bring the ball down for 6 or 7 dribbles, then just stand there for 3 or 4 seconds to let the defenders come to me. I'll make one pass, Curry to Thompson, accomplished by R1, then the right button of the diamond. Next, I have Thompson splash down the three. Nothing says you have to make 15 passes. I choose to do that some, but there are other times where I find one pass, maybe two, to be sufficient. Plus it depends on my moodd. Lol. I'll see about doing a podcast, but it will most likely be this weekend before I can. You have to press the button that corresponds to the player after R1 for the pass to be completed. To review, if your controller has a diamond formation of buttons: The bottom button of the diamond will pass to your point guard, Steph Curry for me. The button on the right of the diamond will pass to your shooting guard, Clay Thompson, for me. The top button passes to either your small or power forward, can't remember which. In my case, it goes to Kevin Durant. The left button of the diamond goes to the other forward, Anthony Davis, for me. The left trigger will go to your center, Kevin Love, for me. So, let's say I'm moving up the court. Curry has the ball. I cross the half-court line, then press R1, then the right button to pass to Thompson. R1, and then the left hand button to pass to Davis. He moves to his left, then sends it across court to KD when I press R1, followed by the up button of the diamond. I have KD head toward the hoop, then press R1 followed by the left trigger to dish it to Love. Love posts up on the defender, but instead of taking the shot, I press R1, then the bottom button to kick out to Curry for the three.As for shooting: I do not use the right stick, although this is an option if you so choose. I prefer to use the left button of the diamond. I find that holding down for about half a second seems to produce the best results. Every player is slightly different, so you just have to get a feel for that sort of thing.On defense: Be sure that you move toward your opponent's goal when they have the ball. Do this for about 5 to 7 dribbles after the inbound pass. Then, be sure to switch to the closest defender to the ball each time you hear the opposing t eam pass. So I hit r1, one of the keys you mensioned and my player will pass the ball to that player?So, as far as I know, you shoot by pulling the right stick downwoards. How do you know when to release the stick? As far as I grasped there is a certain power meter you have to watch out for.And, I know, a lot of questions, what about defense? The aposing team mostly just runs through my defense and scores goals easily.Is there actually something like a tutorial mode= What I mean by that a mode where you just can tr out the differnt moves and where no points are counted, would make it easier to learn.Greetings Moritz. Find out which key for you is R1, and that is the key to press for icon passing, which allows you to directly pass to any player of your choice. R1 followed by A or B will pass to your point and shooting guards, X and Y to your small and power forward, and the left trigger to your center. It's the R1 key, followed by A, B, X, Y, or the left trigger key as stated in my above post. R1 on most controllers is the top button above the right trigger key. R1, then R2 right below it, and then under that is the trigger key. Same applies to the left side of the controller. Doing this and shooting as you get close to the basket will cause the player to dunk the ball.Pressing left or right on the D-pad will bring up the play select menu, and pressing the left stick in the up, down, left, or right direction will select a type of play. I hav e not memorized these, however.That also applies to defense. On defense, holding the right stick toward the opposing team will make the defender aggressively guard the player, so I always hit A to switch to the defender closest to the ball when doing this. Holding the right stick up will cause the defender to attempt to block a shot. The only frustrating thing I hate is not being able to make trades or adjust my roster. It's too bad there's not a way to do it manually by editing a file. I tried to see if I could through the roster manifest, but no. That being said, I play in game just fine. I have a Microsoft controller that works with XBox, but is also compatible with PC. To pass to a specific person, do the following:Press the Y button, then the button of the corresponding player to whom you wish to pass. For example, I'm currently playing as Golden State with a current season record that contains just one loss. I've got a slightly modified roster, but I'll give you the corresponding players to whom I pass the ball:Y followed by the B key, will pass to Curry, so point guard. Y followed by the A button will pass to the shooting guard, Clay Thompson. So the splash brothers take the two bottom keys of the diamond. Y followed by the right trigger key will pass to Anthony Davis in my case, normally Dreimond Green. Y followed by X will pass to Kevin Durant in my case, Normally Harrison Barnes, or Andre, if substituted. Lastly, for me, the Y key followed by the left trigger key will pass the ball inside to Kevin Love. I hope that helps.
