Missing intros outros and brutalities is a bit meh, but it doesn't really bother me too much. I'm here to fight, not brutal you.If you struggled with keyboard inputs in previous games - you probably won't do so here, aside from actually practicing. The skill curb has been flattened, but that's fine to me. It's more of a prediction and outplaying your opponent than it is a test of fingers.The pace is slower which fits my grandma style reactions just fine. Custom is really fun - I've never had this much fun watching competetive play because there's so much variety. I've even seen Shao Khan doing home runs on people's skulls.As for the guest characters, aside from Terminator's shitty voice actor and Robocops bland playstyle, they're really fun. Spawn is just absolutely badass. Joker is a lot of fun. Rambo has a unique playstyle. Re: is mk11 really worth buying? Hi guys. So I bought the game yesterday for my PlayStation four. I managed to get the ultimate edition for R650, not sure how much that is in dollars. While I enjoyed playing the game on my Xbox One, I hated the save system. I have no control over my progress in the actual game, and this drives me crazy. I don’t know if this has been fixed or not. I have the complete edition of Mortal Kombat nine on steam, but I haven’t played that yet. Wasn’t the story mode four hours long without the expansion? No wait, I swear could’ve been 10. Well if you don't question the story at any point or wonder about the sometimes honestly strange DLC characters that get implemented, it's an OK game with alot of bling factor going to it.What keeps me away is the constant grind for extra character equipment, specific parts that you need and the fact that you are quite often pointed twards the store to buy time crystals with real money, something that anoys me in every game.I also don't really enjoy the fighting system compared to MK X, Mk 11 plays to slow for my taste and combat feels slow in comparison to MK 9 and x.Greetings Moritz. Hate Sindle and her retcon - and I'll be the first to agree with you. That being said she has an amazing playstyle that lends itself very well to pro players and those who're heavy to psychological play.Really - the only char who's left on the field is Shao Khan, though I'll still gamble money with anyone I can beat you with Shao. I play nearly all aspects of it daily - the only thing you can't do is the crypt which is ashame because that's where you get most intros / outros and brutalities.For customizing characters and giving them special abilities (which is very important) you'll need OCR, either direct if you buy it on PC, or using your console's streaming capabilities to your pc and using OCR that way, but if you have a decent resolution this shouldn't be an issue.I'd be more than happy to teach you the ins and outs of the games if you'd like. If you've already got mk9, mechanically they aren't super different, so it's up to you whether you spend money on the thing. the story is longer, but IMO since the acting isn't the best, it's more a punishment than a reward. Re: is mk11 really worth buying? Someone did an audio guide describing the menus and fatalities. There is a whole descriptive guide for everything that happens in story at gamefaqs. I think the only thing people should have trouble with at this point is the cript, but even that I heard at least one blind person managed to do. If you like modern mk and fighting games in general, I will say it's worth it, because there is a lot to do in game with the now 4 plus hour of story, character endings, towers and unlockables so it will last a while.
