Re: MUD suggestions Alteraeon is a good start, though bare in mind other muds aren't quite as well put together in the soundpack department, so don't get spoiled on the idea of muds always being audiogames. Also, check the database since several muds have pages here, especially those with good screen reader adaptations.For what muds to play, it depends what you want. If your more into the hacknslash, aardwolf or Erion. Aardwolf is larger, but with harder quests and more eclectic areas, Erion is smaller scale but is over all more focused, plus it has great random systems. If you want to get into crafting and rp and exploring, Clok is definitely worth a try, while if you fancy something focused around a scifi universe I'd personally recommend cosmic rage (which also has an amazing soundpack). If you want to explore, do quests and learn about the world, Frandum is what I'd suggest. Re: MUD suggestions Altereon with the Mush Z soundpack...Miriani if you can handle drama and enjoy SciFi.Godwars II is complicated but awesome, with much better combat than 95 percent of MUDS out their.Aardwolf aint bad...Awakened Worlds if you enjoy cyberpunk/shadowrun, but almost no one is ever on if that matters to you.Age of chaos, especially nice if you've read wheel of time but still great if you haven't.I don't play RP heavy stuff really, and their are still many others to choose from, but that's just my list. Re: MUD suggestions Try the unofficial squaresoft mud if you are into final fantasy. There is a soundpack floating around here somewhere here thats easy to set up. Just extract it and run mushclient.exe from the extracted folder. I had a quick question and hope someone can help me. i use mushclient, and when playing quite a few muds, i noticed an issue and its in uoss as well. The issue is, that there is a lot of info but only a bit of it shows. For example, i looked up the archer help file and only 22 percent showed. I know this, because at the bottum it said "more, 22 percent" so my question is, how do i continue the file? I don't know how to make more info to show or to go to the next page, any help is appreciated. Re: mud suggestions Erion mud Website here has a dedicated archer class. The game is rather similar to aardwolf though with lots more quests and such and random stuff to do, and their classes and races are a rather unique selection. Avalon Here for the website has a very dedicated ranger class which works heavily on things like poisoned arrows (made with different herbs), traps in the woods, having a quiver of different arrows to throw at enemies etc. It also has some of the most beautiful descriptions of any mud I've seen. If you want a game with lots of player interaction and rp around some very extensive activities, Avalon might be a good bet, though unlike on Clok it's not really quite as possible to just wander around and see the game, you have to dedicate yourself to a player guild and a city and so on.I'll also second the recommendation for Clok here, especially if your not as s ure about rp but want lots of crafting and hunting and the chance to do things like make your own arrows, hide and wait for your prey then shoot it with an arrow from a distance before it runs away, then being able to go and skin and butcher the corpse and make use of the skin and meat and even sinew for making arrows like a real hunter. Avalon has it too, but I can't tell for certain how it is. Empiremud has archery ability in the battle skilltree.
