Re: Retroarch isn't really accessible @13: Oh, you're probably on Debian or something with very old packages then. Make sure you have Retroarch >= 8.0. Re: Retroarch isn't really accessible @11 yes, though there was nothing in the cfg file, nothing related to accessibility at least. So I inserted that line given somewhere in this thread, but nothing happened. The ocr I setup on linux confirms retroarch is running, it displays something like no core loaded and something about load core, so the main menu I guess. However, I tryed that other trick with navigation through the menus to enable accessibility, but it seemns the option isn't available. So, what to do next? orca works perfectly otherwise, only retroarch doesn't. Re: Retroarch isn't really accessible Retroarch may be too advanced for some users. For those users, use the regular emulators themselves and NVDA's OCR. But Retroarch /is/ accessible. Re: Retroarch isn't really accessible OK, maybe it is. However, I can't make the damn thing turn on, didn't use sighted asistance for it as of now, I would really like not to btw. So, do you know how to enable it, any command line flag, since the --accessibility one says invalid flag or something like that. Btw, the man pages didn't say anything about accessibility, so guys, how to enable it?? Re: Retroarch isn't really accessible Quick question, does Retroarch's accessibility work on the mac? If so, how do you get it going since methods like appending a flag to the executable aren't really possible? I hvae roms for rhythm tengoku for example, but it just says no items! How do you guys successfully complete the scan without it saying no items? I've tried manual scan as well, but it says no items. Re: Retroarch isn't really accessible Oh boy you cracked me up! I'm sorry, did you read *any* documentation before trying to use RetroArch? Alternatively, you can append the flag "--accessibility" (as far as I can remember) to the path to the executable. Re: Retroarch isn't really accessible helloyou must enable accessibility, to do it: 1. Open retroarch.2. When your screenreader will say retroarch, press backspace, then press down arrow and press enter. Then press up arrow 7 times, then press enter and after press right arrow and it should start to work.alternatively, if you have problems with the first method you can open the retroarch.cfg file which is located in the main folder of the emulator via your favorite text editor, and then you should edit first line:accessibility_enable = "false"toaccessibility_enable = "true"and save it then, now it should start to work.
