Should this user be discovered creating any new accounts before their ban expires, they will be banned permanently.We approached this user a couple of weeks ago, on suspicion of alternate account abuse, and were told that the accusation was untrue, and that any similarity was coincidental. Unfortunately, Deucalion ceased using their VPN, which quickly let us realize that the location of both users was virtually identical. When you add in a similarity of writing style, similarity of post content, Deucalion being created the day after Talpaiute was banned, and Deucalion claiming he let Talpaiute "borrow his account" - which is against the rules as well, by the way - it's a slam dunk.Pro-tip, for those of you who find yourselves on the wrong end of an admin investigation. Don't lie, because it will go worse for you if you do. Re: a small concern about the public record of disciplinary action Regarding with or against the moderators, for me it's a double edged sword really.On the one hadn i think the mods are doing quite a good job and with the new aditions to the team this will hopefully result in quicker moderation decisions and actions.On the other hand though i have the feeling that the mods are to harsh on some, and to lax on other things regarding warnings or cautions. I get that's it's mostly like balancing on a knifes edge because no matter what you do, you always have some side against you, but most often I have the feeling that even though a user did multiple questionable things in a short persio of time, there is still no warning applied, mostly noticeable after the user already has 2 warnings. i get that you don#t want to ban people and keep the forum lively, but this might encourage other people to do the same because they don't have to fear a warning for quite some time.Greetings Moriz. Otherwise, that actually is, honestly, character assassination. I believe you will get a caution for this one at the very least, because you're actually saying @Simter is responsible for undermining the site in some way and that you in fact do know it to be without the shadow of a doubt true. This is the same as saying someone is guilty until proven innocent. That concept won't fly well on this forum. As you can clearly see by what happened to deathstar, the guilty will always drown themselves in their practices without you having to take their ship and sink it for them. If what you're saying is true, Simter will eventually slip up. The mods may or may not catch it, but given his reputation of late, it's more likely that they will than not.
