Hey folks! Dragomier, I honestly see cliches and other predictable resources as pieces of a bigger pusle. They may or may not be used, it is up to you, but the thing is, you have to know those pieces are sometimes well known, so it requires more creativity to use them in a way they will be predictable, well placed, but the whole writing still original. It is like hearing your favorite song, you probably heard the same thing 10 times or more, but it still amazes you.Best regards, Haramir.

Re: Redspot: Blood and dumpsterfire.

It comes down to this. BGT is basically going the same way as VB is. While I love BGT, I don't see any future in it. However, it's hard to switch from one language to another, when you know it so well and you just want to get things done. However, that's another topic for another time. The problem with Redspot is that Sam hasn't been keeping the code up to date, so it's pretty much impossible for me to do anything to the game to help, etc. This is something I've been trying to fix.

The only navigation needed is to find enemies... and some drastically exaggerated sword effects would be better than just pings. igoreha, that's interesting... and as for how it could be playable right now, it's not hard. At least, not impossible... if you can block oncoming attacks in real life martial arts, you can do it in a game. Remember that you have a one in three chance of getting it right, and especially if you use a class that can also dodge, blocking is not as much of an issue.

Well of course. I don't exactly know how to word it. My next question: I noticed it said that Gwen is a battlemage while Merlin sounded as though he was a normal mage. I'm not sure if you can answer this, but does that speak of more class customization than was originally apparent? And I did notice music changes. If you listen to the Farhaven music on the soundtrack and in the radar demo, there's a huge, huge change.

Even though BGT is pretty limited when you compare it to other languages, it serves its purpose very well. BGT was the first language that I learned thoroughly, and I am more than satisfied with what I have been able to accomplish with it. When I want to experiment with something quickly, it is my go to language every time. I plan on using it until it becomes too outdated to be used anymore.

Re: Empire Mud: A misguided Admin is the cause of my departure

I can't speak on the initial situation, but I will say I have had my own bad experience of the empire mud admins which is one reason I've not been back to the game despite the crafting and such sounding really interesting. this was when I was starting, spent literally two hours wandering the map trying to find a free space for my empire and asked for help, when I received none I asked if there was something I was missing in the rules since it seemed odd that the game had no way of finding space, whereupon the admin gave me a private communication and quite severely told me off for complaining about the game on public channels. not the sort of newbie experience that encourages me to play more of the game. In  fairness this was with version 1 of the game which didn't have a newbie island and had a much smaller map with many more players and I doubt I would have the same problem again, however after getting a yelling at for being a new player I
wasn't precisely encouraged to continue trying. It also stands out being as I've been a newbie on many an online  game (hence why there are so many in the db), but I can count on the fingers of one hand the times I've had that sort of nasty response (usually game admins tend to be very welcoming of new players). In fairness though anyone can have a bad day, actually I do need  try empire mud out and give it a proper db page since whatever else it does have extremely good screen reader interaction.

the main reason a developer would be against multiple servers is player volume. Everyone starts out playing together, but eventually due to interest or whatever, you're gonna get a bunch of different servers, with a bunch of different admins. This isn't much of a problem when said game is popular enough, but with the current considerably small playerbase it could be an issue.

2 questions regarding the game:First: I think I've asked that before but will bosses be specified with a music indicating that this is a boss battle. And my second question is: how the game's distribution method will be for those who'll purchase it? Is it a registration key or just a download for the game itself? I hope it could be a registration system since that will decrease any vulnerability for it to be illegally distributed. Thanks Joseph for your great effort, indeed this game will be a really great thing that our gaming history will record and keep.

Hi,I think that's because the radar demo could be considered placeholder music.Speaking of which, after a while, not yet, but a while, couldn't some of these earlier themes possibly be uploaded to something like Bandcamp as some sort of additional soundtrack? You'd be surprised how many people would be interested in this. It gives a good idea how music evolves over game development, and just makes fun listening in it's own right. Unfortunately, if a collection of demo themes were to be released, I don't know what I'd name it. But I'd grab it for curiosity's sake.

That happens sometimes even in mainstream games I’ve noticed. You might have what they used to call a sound test option where you could hear all the music and sound effects in the game, and sometimes you might hear music in the sound test that wasn’t actually used in game. But yeah, it could be called something like heroes call bonus tracks, LOL.

Re: our LC games site is alive!

Hmmm, thanks for the fixes and continuing work on the game. On the plus side I have now found what is wrong with manual navigation. if you hit enter on any square that isn't a planet you are told "stop the ship first" even if your speed is at zero, since I did find earth. On the down side, the v menu for space still isn't working and I am not sure how to find asteroids or other things out there since there doesn't seem to be a scanning function and if your speed is anything over zero you don't seem to be able to interact with anything at all in space, or at least not with the only two things I've found in space namely earth and lc station. Sorry if I am missing something and being incredibly thick please let me know, since I really would like to get into the actual exploring, it's just that currently I've been all over the map and not found anything to explore .Also there seems to be a bug with the parachute stand on earth. I tried it out, and was told it was going to the correct altitude, but the game just hung at that point and nothing seemed to happen. I do have a parachute so I'm not really sure on this one. Sorry for me playing the complainer in this topic I just don't seem to be having much luck with this game .

Re: Braille: A philosophical Essay

s more of a blog post than an essay, i'n'it? Nevertheless I am in agreement. The problems are two: braille tech is pitiful, and people in general, independent of vision, tend toward the path of least resistance.I've said more than enough on the former point, (I'd provide links if I wasn't on mobile), so the real question is: if print is the path of least resistance for the sighted, why is it audio for the blind? I suspect this would remain the case, even with the best tactile device ever imagined +3, and personally, that's saddening. But if I'm wrong, and all we need is a magical shapeshifting touch-panel made of enchanted octopus flesh, then that'd be a nice kind of wrong to be. ... Umm, especially if this does not require killing or tormenting a ton of octopodes for research and materials. Have you ever tried to capture an
octopus? Doc Oc is not living up to his namesake, I can tell you that.P.S. I greatly appreciate the line breaks. I've noticed that blind people tend toward unformatted walls of text, which works if you're reading line-by-line with a screen reader, but in no other context whatsoever. Other contexts include reading by paragraph with the exact same screen reader because that's more efficient, reading on mobile, etc. I was kinda annoyed at all the times I'd run across sighted people complaining about walls-o-text, but then longer posts became more common around here, and holycrap you guys please press enter every now and then. I am typing this with braille screen input on iOS, and yeah, unless they fixed it in iOS 11, you can't add line breaks without going out of BSI, using the on-screen keyboard, then going back into BSI. But line breaks are totally worth it, if you ask me. And if you disagree... MBraille, or Pages, then copy/paste? I f
ind doing it in the box more convenient, but yeah.

Braille: A philosophical Essay

2017-10-17 Thread AudioGames . net Forum — Off-topic room : Dragomier via Audiogames-reflector

Braille: A philosophical Essay

Hello, everyone. It is I, the self-styled philosopher, here with another topic that has been eating away at me for years now.  First, let me begin with some background on myself. I was not born blind. A rather aggressive brain tumor destroyed my optic nerves, leaving me completely blind at the age of two. At the age of three, I was enrolled in the early childhood program at my elementary school. And, here, I began to learn braille.  I studied it diligently for years, until I was about seven years old, whereupon my training was complete. I had read for four years then and discovered I loved it. So I read...And read...And read a bit more after that...Competed in some Braille Challenges...Read more...Went to high school...Read...Applied for college and got accepted...And here we are now. Some rather disturbing developments have come up of late, though. As I am an avid braille reader, I will attest to the fact
that braille is important. Extremely so. But lately, it's come to my attention that some people would rather read through audio or screen reader than braille itself. This at it's core is personal preference, something I cannot disrespect anyone for. But the phrase that strikes me as the most disturbing is, "Braille is dying."  Let me pause in my philosophical ramblings to say that, as most of you may know, I am a writer, and hold my ability to spell and use grammar in high regard. I apologize if that sounds arrogant and ironic, for I'm sure I'll end up finding out I've made a few errors here.Back to the subject at hand. There is an increasing amount of blind people who are leaning away from braille and going to audio and screen reading technology. Again, personal preference. But what strikes me as the most concerning is that braille holds such little importance to them. One of the analogies or similes I like to use is "Braille
is to us as print is to the sighted." The sighted are constantly reading print, be it on street signs, apps, newspapers, books, etc. You could, however, make an argument here that they have the choice of audio, which they do, but in day to day life that's not practical.  I'd like to further expand upon this. From the beginning I have made it appear as if blind people are braille illiterate. Quite the contrary, most aren't, they just don't read it as much. But the main issue I have with not using braille is this: How does it affect your spelling?WAIT! STOP! DON'T GO! This is not grammar Nazi Dragomier at your service. This is where I bring the two communities into one final point.  The sighted, as I have said, read print all the time. Because that's what's practical. And, as a result, their spelling is better. Some may disagree on this. Some may ask me to provide proof. Which, if this sparks a debate, (note the word
debate, not flame war), then I will, but for now I'm diverging from the foint. I've noticed a rapidly degrading quality of spelling among the blind community, be it through the excusable dictation features (which are finnicky at best), or just because they don't see the words writen, per se. I'm not so arrogant as to say I never make the stupid mistakes, such as putting two p's in proper or two t's in writen, but what my point will always return to is that if you examine a braille reader's type over a non-braille reader's, both parties being blind of course, you'll notice a mass difference.  My conclusion is simly a request: Tell me what you agree and disagree upon. I hope that a lively debate will come of this. And, again, apologies on my part are in order if I sound arrogant. That is not my goal in the least. Again, if you would, tell me what you think.

2017-10-17 Thread AudioGames . net Forum — Off-topic room : Orko via Audiogames-reflector

Re: How do you make your coffee?

@DarkThe design sounds very reminiscent of the old percolaters. They are basically a tall container with a spout on one side that is where you pour the brewed coffee from, just like a piture. In side is a metal tube that's almost as tall as the container. You also have a metal basket with a cover, both the basket and cover have lots of small holes to allow water through. Finally the container has a lid with a glass bubble in the middle so it ends up being right over the metal tube.To use it, you first fill the container with water, then put the metal basket on the metal tube, the tube has a ring on it that the basket can't pass so the basket stays near the top of the container. Now you put the tube and basket into the container. Then you put a paper filter in the bottom of the basket, then add the coffee grounds on top of the filter, then put the basket's cover on it so the tube sticks up through a hole in the cover, then finally put the container'
;s lid on the container. Now you heat the water, some percolators had their own heating element, so you just plugged those in to start brewing. Others required that you put it on the stove to heat the water. When the water gets hot enough, steam bubbles will push heated water up the tube. When the water comes out of the top of the tube it comes up inside the glass bubble in the container's lid, spreads out, then drips down on top of the basket's cover. Gravity then draws the water through the grounds and back into the container. This continues until you remove the heat. By watching how dark the brewed coffee percolating up into the bubble is, you can decide when to remove the heat. If you like strong coffee, you just leave it percolating longer. When brewing is done, the percolator becomes a piture full of hot coffee. Because of the pouring spout you don't need to remove the basket and tube assembly until you want to clean them. It doesn't hurt
the coffee to leave them there, though some people prefer to remove them as soon as brewing is done so they can leave the piture plugged in or on the stove to keep the coffee hot.

I've already taken it. It was announced on the Blind Bargains podcast that it was now open. They also said that you have until November 1st to take the survey. The one thing I noticed is that no provision is made for using a second screen reader. Sure there is a question where they tell you to check all that apply but if you check JAWS and NVDA, for example, there's no way to indicate which one of the two is your primary screen reader. So I didn't check that I also use NVDA because that usage shouldn't be given the same weight as my usage of JAWS.I only use NVDA when I encounter a situation that JAWS doesn't work well with, which is only with certain games, and use JAWS for everything else.

I'd like to clear some things up, so please take a trip down wtf road with me, if you will.First, I want to start by saying that I haven't left UKA and/or Redspot because the base was destroyed. I soloed quite often and am just as good solo as I am with a base--a base just gave us an edge when it came to fighting people like vape and chiller who would get up 350k and 5k shields, then attack everyone. It's also worth note that when I was doing said dirty work, pepole didn't have issues. A lot of us, although not all tried to make truces and fight the bigger people; I've also lost track of how many teams have gottne started thanks to me handing them a few thousand wood. There were a lot of good points to UKA, but I can understand why people wanted them gone (and honestly I'm totally fine with it). It's worth note that despite the rumors, we never at any point cheated--I would've left before I stayed in a team that cheated. As a matter o
f fact, there were multiple times when people used bugs that sam refused to fix for multiple weeks to cheat. the most memorable comes after a player named Power destroyed a base, and I fought him. I killed him, then he returned the next day, built up and we had one hell of a fight. He won that fight, and when I ran back to base after I died and got past him, I got in while he was 230 some odd feet away. Somehow magically he was with us in the base, and we lost quite literally everything that day, as well as had to repair everything in the base because it had -75 health. After we spent hours working on getting stuff and repelling attacks, someone impersonated a team member, somehow got on the team, got the code because we knew he didn't have the new one, walked in and took everything again. We yet again rebulit to again have the same thing happen the next day. We had a lot, because we worked for it and we worked pretty hard to make that happen. We were overpowered simply bec
ause people didn't band together to kill us effectively. For example, RSA together at one point had about 1.2 million hp, but they kindly stood on the base tile and let me blast them all in one go with the 400 sat bombs I'd put there for their arrival rather than learning from the last 4 times I had killed them that way. There were many people who either by cheating and many others by playing the game that managed to do an absurd amount of damage to a base. i know specifically the best I've pulled off is about 9 mil solo on another base, so it can be done and is doable. There are multiple issues and I don't claim to know them all, but lots of people never at any point adopted their fighting strategy. Someone posted that I made a comment like feel free to break barricades because I'll just rebuild them in another thread, and that was pretty much the case, simply because people did not attack in a way that would have mattered apart from those who went cr
azy and did some serious destruction. One specific event comes to mind; I decided that I wanted to see if I could get the player base all on one tile so I could get a huge mass kill with sat bombs. So I started a campaign called Make Redspot Great again and convinced everyone that I was leaving UKA and wanted to destroy the base, so if they could get on the base tile I'd let us all split everything from the base and we'd set off the boom. It literally took 20 minutes trying to convince everyone to make a passage through the east side, and took two uf us from UKA making the hole to get everyone together before we got the 15 person kill. This unfortunately says a lot; if I can't get the base to rally behind free stuff but they would follow through barricades once there was a hole (some didn't even get that there was a hole and died on barricades while we were all trooping through this hole), why would people be able to form up and attack the base? I spent a lot of
time teaching people how to fight, and Nakon and myself specifically pretty early on even gave people tips on how to destroy or attack us and make a good fight. So, long story short the game is getting pretty old fast. Add to this the vast amount of bugs, issues like people droppping sandbags on islands to prevent people from getting up there, and a player base who seems like they'll do quite literally anything to get ahead and are happy to throw a good fight out the window and the game loses its appeal. The lag isn't an issue so much as it's that everyone will use it to their advantage. The newbie shield isn't an issue so much as people will find every possible way to get around it, from dieing and retrieving their corpses so their timer resets to using it to come after barricades, and if it takes weeks to get updates on systems that are used to cheat larger teams out of things, my hopes aren't high that many of these will be fixed in a timely order.

Re: How do you make your coffee?

I'm flabbergasted and amused. I just bought a new coffee maker, this new one is made of stainless steel rather than plastic as my old one was. While going through the manual to familiarize myself with it so I could start using it tomorrow, to my surprise, the piece that I said looks like a flat shower head, they actually called a shower head! Wild!@DarkProbably so, but you can also get percolaters that have no heating element. For those, you place them on the stove just like you would a tea kettle. Also, there's no condensation involved, the sole purpose of shooting the percolating water into the bubble on the piture's lid is so you can see how strong your coffee is getting so you'll know when to stop brewing it.Other than the part about dropping the basket with the grounds into the coffee, your device sounds very similar to a percolator. One thing I don't know, is whether the automatic drip machines make a better cup of coffee o
r they are just simpler to use than the percolators. It might depend on personal taste, despite the popularity of the automatic drip machines, I have one friend who swears by and still uses a percolator.

Tactical battle questions

Tactical battle questions

Hi. I was doing some updates to the db and have made some changes to the tactical battle entry, however a lot seems to have gone on since I last played and I have a few questions. firstly as regards maps. The only place I've seen maps for download is the audiogames archive, which seems a bit odd, yet their are some maps there not listed in the downloader of the game. Also there it states that the demon war map by victorious is a stand alone version of tactical battle, yet I see it in the games' own downloader to be downloaded, how does this work? Any information would be appreciated, indeed if there is some sort of main uptodate map repository, or if the downloader isn't quite as uptodate as it could be I'd appreciate knowing, both for the sake of the db and my own sensibility.

hmm. I agree for the must part. The reason I aren't reading braille myself is because I started learning it at the age of 16 (and I'm 18 now).I just can't learn it quick enough that it would be practical for me to use when I'm at school or programming at home, but I would love to some day read braille as fast (or nearly as fast) as I can understand a speech.

I think I read braille once since high school, and I really don't see myself going back to it at all. also I would rather listen to an audiobook than have to have a book with 6 or 7 different volumes. especially on a vacation or something. I have no idea why people would want to deal with all that insanity really. it's just so much easier to buy an iPad or something and put your books or whatever on it. also yeah my spelling might be a bit bad sometimes, but I wouldn't blame braille for it, that's kind of crazy.

I wasn't backing out all the way to the playbook screen. I used OCR to help me out, and managed to get back on-track. Now I can actually call running plays when I want. At the end of my first preseason game, score was Oakland Raiders 42 Cardinals 10. I am coaching a Raiders Franchise. This is lots of fun! the game not say each menu item when you selectit by pressing enter? It's just a little redundant to me.Later!

Scrolling battles, your world tips for making new and awsom maps!

2017-10-17 Thread AudioGames . net Forum — Articles Room : BigGun via Audiogames-reflector

Scrolling battles, your world tips for making new and awsom maps!

Tips for creating maps in scrolling battles, your world. Here are some tips and tricks to help you build maps in scrolling battles your world. This tutorial expects from you to know the following things.*How to play the game.*How to make a new map.*How to use the map builder.I wouldn't suggest you imidiatly start making a complex map. First make a general map with out any cosmetic things, then you can start using tips and tricks in this document to make more interesting maps. If someone says that your map is easy or that your map is stupid, don't think of that as an insult. More over, if you make a very stupid map there are chanses that in that stupidity there will be fun,so menny guise will not notice that there is so mutch stupid things in it because of the fun. Also, note that maps don't need to be things like jumping over hazards, etc. But now, let's go on to the tips!Tile changing.this cant be considered
as a cosmetic change, but it is something new users get into trubble. There is basicly no tile changing and stuf. you just say to it that you want a platform, and in the y field put the hight at witch is the platform that you want to change. This is basicly overrighting that platform, note that the map interpreter will always look from start to end, so the latest changes will have total effect. Note that sound sources will mix each other, witch will make some bad things if you mix some not related sounds. In short, only use overrighting when there are platforms. Note that walls are also overwritten by platforms, so becarefull when having both walls and platforms at the same spot.cars.Wonderring how do people put cars in there maps? Here is the answer!Cars are basicly, doors. only thing that you have to do is to specify one of the car engine sounds as the door loops. Most of them are included in the list.In short, doors are actually teleporters. To m
ake a real door, see in the appropriate section.Real doors.Making real doors is easy, but for someone who's stuck here is the answer. Note: I meen vizical doors, Like doors in the house. same things to do, if you want fences, accept you have to mix choisses.you first make a wall, any type of wall. Then, from it's left side, make a door just by that wall, it goes to the other side of the wall. There are menny door open and door close sounds, doorloop should be emty. Make the door with same parrametars on the other side, goes to the first door, and here you are! You managed to make a real door!Braking flor thingy. If you were on sbyw for a very long time, one time there was very popular map, called braking flor. it was basicly jumping 4 squares at the time and trying not to fall from those squares. Sadly it started giving really small number of points, that's why it lossed it's popularity. Now, you know that if you dy by fa
lling, you don't get returned by a checkpoint. That's why, if you a game like jumping from platform to platform, put a hazard below all those platforms. You should know how to do that, just type the options in the hazard screen.someone got sound x plaing in there map!Note that every sound in the game can be used as a sound source. You only need to guess it's name. It's often very easy, for example footstep sounds are always tilestep1 to 5.oggnote: you need to have the extension, .ogg, To play the file.you first get /rawmap, and you find the sound source where you want to have that sound. change it with one of the games sounds, And it's ok! Always make shure that it's working. Note that you can do same with door sounds, and other stuf witch need a sound to play, may be available in the future.I can jump froo a platform from below! This problem is very easy to fix. Just put any kind of wall below that platform. W
hen the player trys to jump, he will bomb of the wall and he want get outside.ClimbablesUse the starecase for everything that you will use for climbing. From trees to real starecases.jumping doorsThis is something witch I forgot, and I have added it now.You have shurely seen some maps have something like, jump to go to where ever or press space to do what ever. What it basicly does is it puts an automatical door higher then the platform where the player is located, max is 5 tiles for a player with no shues, and there specify where that door will go. That's also very good for traps, like, you have gon goodness knows where by only pressing space.ClosingWell, I hope that this thing has helped you in any way. Hope to see your cool maps on SBYW soon! Fiel free to contact me if you have any questions, note: I don't check my PMs very often, but I will notice a email And I will reply to it as fast as possible. Also, fiel free to
ask a question on SBYW chat, there are menny of us who would like to help.Happy building!

Re: 2017 Screen Reader Usage Survey

I agree Orco and had the same problem as regards Nvda, Supernova and narrator, since while I use Nvda as my main screen reader I do occasionally use sn or Narrator too. also, I did find it a little odd that Supernova was not listed, but Window eyes was given Window eyes has recently I believe been taken off the market and supernovais still being updated and sold. I also wondered with regards to the question about "how to find information on a webpage what exactly it related to. Sometimes I use a find function, sometimes headings,  different navigational keys, sometimes skip to content type links, it all depends upon the website in question and how familiar I am with it, indeed usually when first visiting a site I'm unfamiliar with I'll probably just down arrow through the content or straight out read through until I get used to what is where. Still it's nice someone is doing a survey, and since I also went through the questions with my
lady we got two for the price of one .

Re: Braille: A philosophy

i gotta be honest, I don't read braille nearly as much as I should. I know it, pretty well, but don't read it much, because yeah... I prefer to read audiobooks. Not only because i can just listen, but braille books are quite huge. One harry potter book, for example, is like 5 volumes at least. Its much more convenient to read audio. As for my spelling, its pretty bad, probably because of the fact I don't rea braille that much. However, I still know it, and do read it. Braille signs, or my braille note touch, or math work, are all in braille. Yes, I use braille on my touch rather than speech. I actually turn off the speech most of the time and just read everything. But, although I do turn to audio when I can, I still know there's always going to be a time for braille. Many people I know who go to a blind school hardly know braille. Yet another reason i dislike those schools... You aren't forced to read. Apparently its more independent that way? Fo
r another topic. anyway, people I know don't even hardly know braille at all. And, honestly, that pisses me off. Braille is reading. If you don't know it, you don't know how to read. I was at a summer camp in july, and someone asked me to read the sign for a room because he didn't know contractions. Seriously? While I don't always read braille, it is still important to know. It may be dying... Slowly... But same with cursive writing i guess... I do think it is very important to know braille, because if you don't you basically don't know how to read.

Agreed with Muhammad—you don't want us to spoil too much info on the game world...but, moreover, I don't know how we could give a satisfactory description of how "big" the game world is anyway. It's not like a real place, which can be described in square feet or miles or anything like that.

Re: How do you make your coffee?

@Cinnamon, nope mine isn't a machine, it's more like a jug with colling apparatus that goes in the fridge and a straw up the top, but it does sound different to what you describe. @Orco, actually a cafeteir is much simpler than a percolator, it has no heating elements, neither is there any condensation involved, it's basically just a jug with a vertical civ which winds up at the bottom, indeed you could probably get the same effect   by sticking the grounds and boiling water in a jug then pouring it through a civ into the cups when ready, albeit you'd need a pretty fine mesh civ since coffee grounds are fairly small.

I know it says way back when that this game is rp enforced, but for those familiar with actually playing the game long term, having experiences in the different guilds, how strict is it? I only ask as the game itself sounds truly wonderful, but I'll admit, I'm probably the world's worse rper ever. I don't mind keeping things in character, aside from a few slip ups here and there, but the going majorly into detail to do the smallest action, I've never been good at. I tend to solo a lot, if I can and really only try to ask for help if I need it, so would that be an issue?Either way, from all I read here about it's features and such, it sounds pretty cool.Take care.

Show errors? Is that mean you still don't have a set of compiling environment? If that's the case, I recommend using MinGW compiler collection. You can just type "gcc filename.c " on the command prompt. We can of course use Visual Studio, but MinGW is much smaller and easier while you are testing basic C programs that don't heavily rely on the latest Win32 API or VC/VC++ specific macros.

I'm a fan of the four Netflix superhero shows and they come highly recommended. Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and The Defenders. I wouldn't recommend watching iron Fist at all.Other shows that come highly recommended by me: Black Mirror - Anthology show taking place mostly in the future about how our reliance on technology may just be our downfall.House of Cards - Based on a book trilogy about a fictional british prime minister, though the show is wildly different and better. Set in America, Frank Underwood does everything he can, including blackmail, murder and more, to get into the White House, and stay there. The OA - Very interesting new drama that explores the paranormal and spirituality. There's a lot of mystery to this one, so it's best to leave it at that.13 Reasons Why - Based on a novel of the same name, this show deals with bullying, and most importantly, suicide and in season 2, it's aftermath. The options in the download map campaigns feature don't work anymore, because of the way dropbox has links set up, so the best way to get campaigns is to get them through agarchive. The game has not been updated to reflect this change.

Re: Braille: A philosophy

Afrim, it's interesting you bring that up because I actually had a debate with someone about that very same topic not long ago. While yes, Braille displays do a lot less than mainstream computers, consider this: Computer manufacturers are selling to a higher number of people. They can afford to make their prices significantly less, because their devices are in much higher production and much higher profit. Now a braille device is usually A, bought by a school district for one or more students or B, bought by a select group of people who can raise the money for it, their profit is significantly less. And there are multiple things besides the technological aspects. You have to take into account licensing agreements, labor costs, part costs, distribution, repairing, like any other tech company would have to. But again, the reason braille devices are so outlandishly pricey is the simple fact they need to do it to make a living.

Re: Braille: A philosophy

Hello everyone. I did a little research on this a while back. Let me give you some recent shocking statistics to show you the magnitude of the Braille Literacy crisis. Out of all blind people in the world, approximately 75% of them are unemployed. Also 10R of blind people read braille while the rest of them resort to auditory solutions alone. This is in comparison to 40 years ago, when 50 percent of all children in the United States were reading braille. Now I know that the wealth of individual citizens of other countries has to be taken into account here, but still, this is a shocking decline, and I fully support any organization that advocates for braille literacy, as I believe the unemployment rate for blind people would increase in a major way if more learned braille and used it often academically and in the workplace. I am pleased to inform all if you don't know that the price of braille displays is being addressed slowly and surely. Orbit Research has made a Brail
le display that is priced at 450 dollars, and can refresh with 20 cells. This is a start, and I am confident that it will continue to grow. Also The affordability of Assistive Technologies (that includes baille displays) might increase because of an act introduced by two senitors that will go into affect soon. This bill is supported by the National Federation of the Blind and is known as the Accessible Technology Affordability Act *ATAA( which will allow those who have a job and are eligible to purchase assistive technologies to be given a 2500-dollar tax credit over a 3-year period, in order to purchase such technologies. With money flowing in from income, I think this could increase literacy for bkubd people. I hope that action can be taken in several countries to increase worldwide braille literacy and the proliferation of digital braille.
