The issue with that is, that's only assuming that you're having trouble with every website, and that your browser isn't already maximized. I will agree if you have an email account from a University, or just an email server through your business, Thunderbird can get a little hard to set up. it can be done, i have done it, but it requires you to set up all of the server information by hand. Press In the start menu, search for device manager and open it. Here, don't expand the first category which is audio inputs and outputs, but instead continue scrolling until you reach Sound, video and game controllers. If you expand this, you should see Realtek Audio. Press enter to open it's properties. Switch to the drivers tab, and tab until you reach Update driver. Now, choose Browse my computer for drivers. Once that opens, choose Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer. Once the list opens, you should see High Definition Audio Device. Select it and press next, then follow the prompts. It should ask for a restart and then you should be using the high definition audio driver without it automatically updating back. If you ever want to switch back, the instructions are the same, except of course you don't choose the high definition driver but the realtek audio one. Why you'd want to use this for anything other than Swamp, I don't know. You can, however, have profiles trigger when executables are run, though the interface for this has unlabeled elements with NVDA. I have been blind since birth, and I'm a pretty strong chess player. I mean, I'm not a grandmaster or anything, but I can play entire games of chess in my head without a board, and a lot of higher-ranked sighted players can do the same thing. Chess is an eight-by-eight grid with a maximum of thirty-two pieces on it, so for me personally, I don't have much trouble at all keeping track of pieces.The only advantage I could see the sighted having over the blind is this. Say I'm in a tournament; in chess, you're really not supposed to touch pieces that you don't intend to move, so groping the board in a tournament probably isn't going to fly. That said, it's okay for a blind player to have a separate board set aside which they can manipulate to their heart's content, without penalty. The advantage to the sighted player is that if a blind person's hands are wandering over this board, the sighted player might get an idea of their intentions this way. But speaking for myself at this point, I don't have this problem. A good friend of mine has improved by leaps and bounds under my teaching, and I asked him if he can ever glean advantage from the way my hands move on the board. He said no. It was something I used to have more problems with, but now I tend to calculate more in my head than with my hands. It'd be an indicator without any movement restrictions. What makes this tough is the soundscape is very busy, everyone is moving so fast, and the cue shouldn't be exhausting to hear over and over. There's a ton of ways to approach it. Like scooping out each lane with positional audio, or adding painted lines as an element to the soundtrack. The power-up size and acceleration drop-off are pretty generous so I think it's better to direct folks to the center than to indicate its exact position. Max Audio Pro issue (surprise) I'm having an issue with Max Audio Pro on my Dell, no surprise. When I plug my headphones in, it's behaving as it normally does where it tries to enhance the audio. Can I reinstall Windows without cited help?
Can I reinstall Windows without cited help? So I am now in a state where the computer just stop responding in the middle of booting. It just don't do anything and the screen is pretty much useless because it's broken. So I'm wondering is there any way to reinstall Windows alone without sighted help? Re: Help me with a little Manamon 2 Fun So just out of pure curiosity and because I could, I simulated a battle - for lack of a better word - between my favorites with ambush guards and Jayde's "rejiggered team" ideas. To recap, his idea of a "rejiggered team" was something like Wavotamus, Sirenea, Simphonid, Penguilum, Ghoperto, and Fowlusion. My favorites are Wavotamus, Grandlan, Guerrerrol, Sacroloon, Ghoperto, and Mantasteel. My favorites got smoked. I guess this sort of proves what he's been saying all along, which is that you'd do well to get as much speed and coverage on your team as you can. Grandlan and Guerrerrol didn't get to do anything, and Wavotamus just plain died to Fowlusion. Each Ghoperto got some hits off and then died. Also, sticky web is just mean on a physical attacker. You take half the damage you deal. So you'd either have to kill yourself with your own damage or wait it out and probably die anyway. So yeah. This is the kind of stuff you can get up to if you're a ninny like me and buy two licenses for this game. Re: Can I reinstall Windows without cited help? You can't start Narrator in the installation boot screen on Windows 8, you need Windows 10 for that. If you must reinstall Windows 8, you need to use the talking Windows preinstallation environment. SO basically you get an ISO of that, boot it, and since it comes with NVDA you will get speech right away. Then you insert a USB drive or a DVD with Windows 8 already on it, and run the setup.exe file. From there you will be able to follow the procedure as usual. The only difference is that we cannot purchase controllers for international participants. Given that there had as yet been no action taken in this thread - I didn't even see it till twenty minutes ago - it can even be construed as you trying to tell us how to do our job. This again may not have been your intent, so I'm just going to issue an official caution. You aren't actually in trouble. It's totally fine to ask if a thread is going to be locked or if punishment is going to be brought against someone, but making a post to suggest that this is happening is something we would prefer that nobody without the requisite authority actually do.On this subject, by the way, here's the deal as I see it:Nothing stops a person from pranking a friend with this technology, except that it would mean illegal use of the software in question. If you want to do that in your own way and in your own time, we can't stop you; if you talk about the exact steps on how to do it here, however, that's going to fall into enabling users to impersonate others - ironic, considering how this post started - and that's potentially troublesome.My general rule of thumb is that there may be some edge cases where doing this is funny or harmless, but there's also a ton of use cases with a much more malevolent slant. Would you restore your vision? @114Someone also worked out how to get some General Electric appliances talking by hooking into the maintenance port with an arduino, but I don't have the reference handy.W.r.t. blindness and autism, I don't think that blindness itself causes autism in the sense that the underlying mechanisms are the same, but somehow half the blind people I've known over the years have also had some of the stuff that's hard to attribute to blindness like highly focused interests. But I'm a programmer, most of my friends are programmers, and whether that's actually causal or not it's also a high correlation for such traits, so perhaps that's not surprising.
