But my rationale has always been that it's because most preamps do have an audible signature. The SCA2 is one of the few exceptions. I downloaded the 24/96 samples from HDTracks. When I try to play them on my SB3 (Classic), I get the error Problem unable to play file type on the SB3 display. I'm running Squeezecenter 7.3.2 on a Buffalo LinkStation (if that matters).
