2017-02-03 Thread Richard Frawley
all ok, was not offended.

heat stroke (not dehydration), was the cause, very hot, too long struggling in
difficult conditions and my fault for not giving myself longer to recover from
bad gastro (a week before)….

fainted on short final. hit a tree (luckily) which saved my life as did the
farmer in the paddock who saw me crash and stopped me bleeding to death.

I will get around to writing it up for the magazine soon.

Longer recovery is something we all need to be mindful of, especially as we get
older.

Hello Niall,
1. Agree with Mark
2. I am staying clear of claiming to know what/how the opposite gender
thinks. Many have tried and failed miserably. What makes you the expert?
Have you considered publishing a book? Did you consider that you might have
offended someone with your claim to "know"?
3. No matter what gender or orientation - someone will always be offended.
Mark, I have to correct you: LGBTTQQIAAP is the correct term. Don't leave
out any minority!
4. I am not sure if there is a scope for swear words on a public mailing
list. Niall, I wasn't able to avoid the colorful language in your post -
but I won't be harmed by it. I built up enough resilience. I booked myself
in for a counselling session though - just in case.
5. The definition for "a sense of humor".. I bet a few people had at least
a bit of a smile on their face when they read the thread. It has been
proven that having a laugh is good for you. I am sure the Glider of the
type Marianne, serial number 69 which glides really nicely and is easily
de-rigged and fits well in a very beautiful trailer won't take offense of
being made fun of.
6. Niall, hope to run into you one day and we can have a laugh together.
And if Donald Trump is present - even better. Whoever makes him grin first
- wins! How hillaryous is that? ;-)

You challenged me Niall,

I believe club live in general is dying.
The only way to go is commercial.
Volunteers is going to be history (with great respect to all volunteers).

I believe in a CFI (I am the CFI) but as we run a commercial operation it is
different from a club CFI.

Hi Niall,
Sorry if you were offended. All I personally said was I owned a glider with
a rego that raised a few eyebrows .
Then I said it was a nice glider to fly.which is very true.

I think if you truly want to be objective you should perhaps consider that
any sexual references that you may have taken from the discussion could
also extend to any member of the LGBTI community, which you have clearly
ignored.
It seems that your response sexually objectifies heterosexual women only,
which in itself shows how you personally stereotype women.

Also your language was less than optimum for a public forum.

Maybe we will both bump into Donald Trump?

Mark Fisher, Erich Wittstock, Richard Frawley, Robert Izatt: perhaps
you should keep your risque contributions for the locker room. You can
share them with Donald Trump next time you bump into him there. They
don't belong in a gliding forum.
How many females have contributed to this present discussion? Fucking
none, that's how many. Perhaps one of the reasons that it's difficult
to attract and retain women in gliding is because of the number of old
wankers sniggering while they share their lewd humour.
On the actual subject at hand, I agree with everyone who thinks that
