Record 40 is a baptism of Manuel who is the legitimate son of Manuel ?
Goulart born on 13 of Sept 1905. The DOB is in the third line from the top
on the right page and the father's name is in the fourth. The date of the
baptism was in the first line of the record.

As a newcomer, might I suggest a sticky with a list of your other sites

Too late perhaps, but I have become a very strong advocate of online backup
like Carbonite. It works completely in the background, nothing to remember

I have Justa Coelho, b. Feb.8.1582 in Se, Angra do
Heroismo, Terceira and married to Pedro Goncalves Linhares
baptizing a child in Porto Judeu Dec. 8 1644. 62 years
after!!! I believe some genealogical references are incorrect
as for the parents of Justa Coelho married to Pedro, as a
daughter of Joao Garcia Romayo and Barbara Coelho, more
likely
a grandaughter and possible daughter of a Justa Coelho, born
  in 1582.

Mabe the Genealogias da Ilha Terceira by Jorge Forjaz

[AZORES-Genealogy] Re: I think this is my grandmothers Baptism record. Can someone help with Translation.

2012-10-05 Thread Dano
Research requires specificity, especially, were you to have your
document professionally translated; they charge by the time, and the
line. Your attachment lists two baptisms, and part of a third,
however, you didn't specify which document you wanted translated -
anyway, I translated both of the complete pages since I had the time
to do so.

Here is the first: #84 Maria - fa de Manoel Borges Pires, note that
there is a marriage reference in the left margin - I will list that at
the end of the baptismal record:
On the twenty-eighth day of the month of September in the year one
thousand nine hundred and ten in this holy church, parish of Santa
Cruz, Matriz of Villa da Praia da Vitoria, Diocese of Angra do
Heroismo, I solemnly baptized an individual of the feminine sex, whom
I gave the name Maria, who was born in this parish at three o'clock in
the morning, on the twenty-second day of the month of September of the
aforementioned year, legitimate daughter of Manoel Borges Pires, civil
police officer, and, Rosa Candida, occupation domestic, natives and
accepted parishioners of this parish, residents at Rua Conde de Villa
Flor; paternal granddaughter of Manoel Borges Pires, and, Maria Jose
da Silva, and maternal [granddaughter] of Jose Vieira and Rosa
Candida. Godfather was Guilherme dos Reyes, married, Administrator of
this Council of Praia de Vitoria, and, Godmother Dona Maria do
Carmello Toste Nogueira Reys, single, occupation domestic; All is in
order, and for the record, I recorded this assent in duplicate, which
was read and conferred with me and the godparents who also signed.

On the twenty-eighth day in the month of September, in the year one
